THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD - PART 241

Continuing on the subject that there is only one Mediator between God and Man, we have learned in previous posts that the only Mediator between God and man is indeed the Lord Jesus the Christ. It is He who is the only begotten Son of the Holy Spirit of God. It is this same Jesus who was conceived of the Seed of the Spirit of God and that the spiritual nature dwelling within Jesus was not the natural seed of Adam’s fallen race.

Indeed, as we also learned from the scriptures, the spiritual nature was pure, holy, and undefiled. These seeds of the Holy Spirit of God are pure humanity, for God surely did not have to appear on earth to understand humanity. God made us but as unredeemed persons, we became total strangers and foreigners to the pure humanity that had indwelt Adam in the Garden of Eden -- prior to being put out of the Garden.

At that point, Adam's mental and intellectual growth (in the context of pure humanity) became stagnated. Adam and Eve both, at the time of expulsion from the Garden of Eden were left only to eat mentally of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.

As a result of this expulsion, we, as part of the human race are no longer evolving. Instead, we are declining into a world of darkness, and a world that chooses to exalt Mary to the place of mediator between God and man. Surely anyone having read the scriptures must acknowledge that exalting Mary to the place of Mediator is contrary to Jesus' Word. Similarly, there are a number of scriptural references that support this position.

For example, in the New Testament when Jesus was 12 years of age, the scriptures record that Mary and Joseph, wondering why Jesus was not in their presence, thought possibly that He was with friends. Mary and Joseph checked with His friends and found that he was not amongst them. So in an effort to find Jesus, Mary and Joseph retraced their steps, looking ever where for him. Initially, the search was without success.

But eventually, as the scriptures reveal, Mary and Joseph found Jesus in the Temple. When questioned by Mary and Joseph as to His whereabouts, Jesus responded by stating, “Do you not know that I must be about My Fathers business?" Yes, to Mary and Joseph, Jesus said did you not know this?

Of course, they knew that Jesus was the conceived child of the Spirit of God. The issue is, as evidenced in this example, is that Mary and Joseph were without understanding as to the implications. Here is Jesus at 12 years of age confounding His audience of elders by His intellect and wisdom.

Indeed, Jesus was revealing to them the wisdom of God. Jesus, being the fleshly embodiment of the Wisdom of God now being spoken by Jesus. For Jesus is God Himself manifest in the flesh as a Son.

Please allow me to note the following. Even though Mary was a surrogate mother in one sense, Mary was not the norm associated with being a surrogate. Neither Mary or Joseph passed the child after birth into the hands of another. In fact, they both knew that this child was not of their seed. As the scriptures reveal, Mary had consented to be a surrogate saying to the angelic messenger, “Be it so done unto me according to your Word.”

Still, Mary and Joseph cared and nurtured the child Jesus which explains why finding Jesus in the temple was important. Even so Jesus was quick to point out in this example that He/I must be about my Fathers business.

Remember Jesus was the Seed of the Holy Spirit who Fathered Him. And at 12 years of age, the Holy Spirit seed nature was beginning to manifesting. No doubt, this experience was a wake up call to Mary and Joseph for they had no idea of how a pure human divine nature should appear.

So to ensure that readers of these posts are clear, the message that we are trying to portray is that anything said in these presentations should not be considered as a negative against Mary. Indeed, Mary was blessed among women. However, the important distinction to note is that Mary was not blest above women.

Remember too that God said that He will bless all those who are in JESUS.
