THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD - PART 225

The words from an old hymn come to mind. It goes like this. Redeemed, how I love to proclaim it - Redeemed by the blood of the lamb - Redeemed by His infinite mercy - His child, forever I am.

Yes, we have been redeemed through Jesus, the sacrificial lamb of God, who laid down His body even to a horrific death so that you and I could be saved. He died even though the judge/judicial system proclaimed that he could find no fault in Him. In so doing, the judge washed his hands of the verdict and instead delivered Jesus to the mad frenzied crowd who were shouting, "Crucify Him! Crucify Him! For we will not have this man rule over us."

As a result, the crowd and religious zealots went ahead with the crucifixion. But in writing this post, it is my hope and prayer that even though you may have been part of the crowd who didn't understand why Jesus would die for you, that you now you have come to a place where you have no desire to end this life at death.

Admittedly, I understand fully that my outside man is perishing daily, whereas the real me - the spiritual man within - is incapable of dying. Still, as a result of God's plan of redemption, I am now being renewed daily!

This renewal, the dawn of redemption within me originated when I thanked God for dying in my place. At the time, I was without words - speechless. While I did outwardly declare a lack of understanding as to what was happening to me, I was embraced in a wonderful blaze of glory. If I had to liken the experience to something similar, it might resemble the moment when one is born. In spite of being born, the baby does not know they have been born. they just let out a cry.

But now that we are redeemed, the joy that floods within us, is a joy so joyous that it can often be unspeakable. We are brought back to the place where God can reach us. Redeemed to the exact condition, prior to Adam messing up. Our sins are dismissed. No longer is there a feeling of guilt.

Instead, our feeling of guilt is replaced with a feeling of reassurance - that this is where we were meant to be all along. We have a blessed assurance within that all is well, and peace rules and reigns within our hearts. Since you have accepted redemption, the question is whether you have likewise experienced the redemptive experience that leads to Jesus as your REDEEMER. This is important!

The first Adam was of the earth. However, the second Adam was the Lord Himself named JESUS now appearing in fashion as one of the first Adam offspring. Only in appearance was JESUS like the first Adam’s offspring. JESUS was the Seed of the Holy Spirit of God and as such therefore God Himself.

JESUS was clothed in the flesh of Adam’s fallen offspring, received whilst in the womb of His surrogate mother Mary. Therefore, JESUS was capable of being tempted and tried in all points like as we are. Inwardly, JESUS contained all the fullness of God bodily including love, mercy and compassion.

Indeed, we were redeemed in growth to Adam’s stature prior to Adam’s entrance into disobedience to God‘s Word. However, direction has changed because we were purchased by a new master GOD in JESUS who is the second Adam and once again we are at the crossroads.

We can either move on or we can stagnate. My hope is that we the redeemed move forward into the life that God originally intended for us!
