When Christ Who Is Our Life Shall Appear, Then Shall Ye Also Appear With Him In Glory - Part 2013

"If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with Him in glory." (Colossians 3:1-4)

When we begin to understand our life hid with Christ in God, there is a new beginning wherein our hearts and minds are renewed. Our faith journey becomes about seeking those things which are above because we have repented, and water baptized in His precious Name -- the Name of JESUS. (Acts 2:36-38; Romans 6:3-4) And as a consequence, our consciences toward God, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ is clear.

More specifically, please note that water baptism doth ALSO now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh) but the answer of a good conscience toward God -- by the resurrection of Jesus Christ who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God -- ALL angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto Him. (I Peter 3:21-22)

Isaiah often prophesied of the Lord God giving His right arm of salvation. That there is no other Saviour beside Him, and that there is only One God and He is Lord. After God was manifest in the flesh, and ascended into heaven, "until the day in which He was taken up, after that He THROUGH the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom He had chosen ..." (Acts 1:2)

The Holy Ghost in the scriptures is New Testament -- and emerges when the dayspring from on high visits His people. We know the Holy Ghost signified the difference between the old and the new from Hebrews 9:8 which states: "the Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:" (Hebrews 9:8)

This is why it is so important that we understand Luke 1:35 when the Holy Ghost overshadowed Mary so that she could bring forth a son. And the angel answered and said unto Mary, "The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God." (Luke 1:35)

Because the Holy Ghost -- the power of the Highest decided "this day have I begotten Thee" that the holy thing which shall be born of Mary was going to be called the Son of God. This same Son that Peter (standing with the eleven on the day of Pentecost) declared to be BOTH Lord and Christ. (Acts 2:36)

Not a separate being/person from God but the same Spirit of the Lord God that moved upon the face of the waters in the beginning. The same Lord that is God and God that is Lord, as David the psalmist points out. This same God who willingly became our Saviour so that we might have abundant life in Him.

"But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared ..." (Titus 3:4-7)

To wit, God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself. (II Corinthians 5:19) God was manifest in the flesh. (I Timothy 3:16) All the fullness of the Godhead dwelling bodily in Him. (Colossians 2:9)

"Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which He hath purchased with His own blood." (Acts 20:28)

This is why we sanctify the Lord God in our hearts, ready always to give an answer to every man that asks you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear, having a good conscience that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ. For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing. (I Peter 3:16-22)

"For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: by which also He went and preached unto the spirits in prison; which sometime were disobedient, when once the long suffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto Him." (Colossians 3:18-22)

Thus, don't be misled by the antics of a modern day religious culture that does everything to speak about God without recognizing the Name that He gave to us specifically for this dispensation of grace -- that is, JESUS, for He shall save His people from their sins ... Emmanuel, being interpreted, God with us!" (Matthew 1:21-23)

This is why we who believe in Jesus by faith are called to come out from among them. Similarly, we are to mortify our members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: for which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: in the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.

But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of Him that created him:
where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

When we realize how much it cost for God to bring us salvation, and the precious blood that He shed so that you and I could be clothed in His righteousness and mercy, and filled with His peace and joy, we willingly desire also to put on as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; forbearing one another, and forgiving one another." Indeed, "if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful."

As well, "let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the Name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him ... And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ." (Colossians 3:1-25)

Note also that he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons." (Colossians 3:26) For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, but we do not have to stay there. Rather, repent and be baptized every one of you in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:38; Acts 10:44-48)

This is our calling when we focus our desires on the heavenly. Stand in the offering plate.

The Lord Is Not Slack Concerning His Promise But Is Long-suffering To Us-ward, Not Willing That Any Should Perish, But That All Should Come To Repentance - Part 2012

"But hath in due times manifested His Word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour;" (Titus 1:3)

"But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is long suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of Him in peace, without spot, and blameless. And account that the long suffering of our Lord is salvation; " (II Peter 3:8-15)

From the beginning of time, the Spirit of God has continually endeavoured to reveal Himself to mankind.  Unfortunately, humans were always misreading God’s intended results. Even though God was constantly and purposefully attempting to reveal Himself, utilizing descriptive titles of His name as one approach, and by sending prophets to disseminate divinely inspired revelations, both His and the prophet's words fell on deaf ears.

In a last attempt to bring man salvation, the same God who created us in the beginning was moved by love and compassion toward His beloved created. Deciding by the counsel of His own mind, He Himself set out to make one final attempt to redeem man from his fallen state. How? God would become our Saviour.

Indeed, God would become as one of us, clothing Himself in sin-prone flesh (yet without sin!) so that we might find abundant life in Him. This He accomplished by issuing His own seed -- that which is conceive in you Mary is of the Holy Ghost.  In today's language, Mary was a surrogate mother.

And the angel answered and said unto Mary, "The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God." (Luke 1:35)

"And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call His Name JESUS: for He shall save His people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, "Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call His Name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, "God with us." (Matthew 1:21-23)

Moreover, as the scriptures state, an angel revealed the child's name -- JESUS -- the Son of God. While on earth, Jesus went about His Father’s business, attempting to remove the fog of tradition that had become so entrenched within society. Today, we call it religious culture wherein we rely on others for our learning and edification but I digress.

Jesus wanted to turn the hearts of ordinary people so that they would respond positively to His good news gospel message and follow Him. In relaying His message, many noted that it was an authoritative one. Jesus did not speak like the scribes and the Pharisees. In fact, He talked the talk and walked the walk. Well, that conduct could not be tolerated by a seated religion, even in Jesus' days on earth. So, as a consequence, the back room boys began to scheme, developing a plan that would remove Jesus from the world. We know the end result. But there are equally important details to note as well that set the stage.

First and foremost, Jesus is the child of the same holy Spirit that moved upon the face of the waters in Genesis. The child had been clothed in Mary‘s womb in the fashion of men. That is, Jesus was clothed with that which Mary‘s womb was only capable of supplying. That is, similar to all those born of women, sinful flesh. It could not be any other way for she was also the offspring of Adam‘s fallen race.

Luke wrote that in the man dwelt this same holy Spirit, for Jesus was conceived of the Holy Ghost. In effect we see the priesthood of God being revealed in earthly fashion. God who is a Spirit was always love, mercy and compassion, right from the beginning. Now, centuries later, we are going to the school of God, to be taught the ABC's of God. We are learning that God Himself became as a son in earthly visible language.

Thus, now, in this dispensation of grace -- in the New Testament, we are being introduced to the spiritual priesthood of God. What we are having unveiled to us then is love. The love that God has for His people and more. Unlike the priests of today, there is no other priest like the priestly nature of the unseen God now being manifest in the man Jesus the Christ. God in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself. (II Corinthians 5:19; I Timothy 3:16; John 1:10-11; Isaiah 9:6)

Initially, Philip who actually walked with Jesus dd not understand who Jesus was. If you recall in the scriptures, Philip desired to see God the Father and said that if he did, that would satisfy Him. Well here comes the eye opener.  Jesus responds to Philip saying, "Have I been so long time with you and you have not known Me? If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father."

God’s priestly nature (MELCHISEDEC) was in the man Christ Jesus, child of the Holy Ghost, revealing His Father’s priestly nature reaching out with His arms wide open. Who would ever desire any other form of priest? Particularly when there is no other love like the love of Jesus. The Spirit of the One God who was in the man Jesus was and is and will be the prophet, priest and King. This God who has revealed Himself in the man Jesus is now revealing Himself to you too if you are looking for a priest -- one who ensured that the price for our sins was paid once and for all.

No more weekly treks to a church hoping for redemption because our Lord God and Saviour Jesus the Christ has sanctified us by His truth. Therefore,, we need to look no further. For God has said, "Look to Me all you people who are lost and you shall be saved. Why? Because as Jesus points out, beside Him there is no Saviour.

Your only high priest - He lives forever - He has an unchangeable priesthood. So come and accept this same Jesus whom was crucified as both your Lord and Saviour. As both the Lord and Christ. (Acts 2:36) For He is continually inviting us to take hold of His truth -- Thy Word is truth. (John 17:17)

And yes, precious Lord, take our hand and lead and guide us in Your ways of knowledge and learning, for in You are all the blessings of the Kingdom.

To The Only Wise God Our Saviour, Be Glory And Majesty, Dominion And Power, Both Now And Ever, Amen Part 2011

"Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:" (Jude 1:25)

"For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: if so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.

Now He that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (for we walk by faith, not by sight:) we are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of Him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them which glory in appearance, and not in heart. For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause. For the love of Christ constrains us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: and that He died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto Him which died for them, and rose again.

Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we Him no more. Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation." (II Corinthians 5:1-19)

What is the ministry of reconciliation?

"To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the Word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him." (II Corinthians 5:1-21)

Too often, we are led down the garden path because we are not grounded in the Word -- the Word that was with God and was God and was made flesh. (John 1:1-4) And as a consequence, we lose sight of the doctrine of Christ, wherein we can be assured in whom we believe. (Hebrews 6:1-2; II John 1:9) That is, God willingly became our Saviour. (I Timothy 3:16; Titus 2:13; Titus 3:4-7; Isaiah 9:6)

"Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope!" (I Timothy 1:1)

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour ..." (I Timothy 2:3) "But hath in due times manifested His Word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour ... to Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour." (Titus 1:3-4)

" ... not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things ... looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;" (Titus 2:10, 13)"Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ ..." (II Peter 1:1)

And similarly, like the world changing apostles, this should be our heart desire as disciples of the Lord Jesus the Christ as well -- to preach the good news gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ so that others too can understand that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself. The greatest love story ever told. The most life-giving salvation plan that God had decided before He even formed the world.

Now that is love! This is why our hearts cry out -- "to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen." (Jude 1:25)

O Come Let Us Worship And Bow Down; Let Us Kneel Before The Lord Our Maker, For He Is Our God - Part 2010

"O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto Him with psalms. For the Lord is a Great God, and a Great King above all gods. In his Hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is His also. The sea is His, and He made it: and His hands formed the dry land.

O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker. For He is our God; and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. To day if ye will hear His voice, harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness: when your fathers tempted Me, proved Me, and saw My work. Forty years long was I grieved with [this] generation, and said, "It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known My ways: unto whom I sware in My wrath that they should not enter into My rest." (Psalm 95:1-11)

What David the psalmist is saying here is that the same Lord who is our maker is also our God. Not another person within a unity of three, or a third of God as modern day religious culture teaches, but rather, that after His kindness and love toward man, God willingly became our Saviour. (Titus 3:4-7) Thus, we who believe in His goodness and grace and mercy by faith, can rest assured that God has a purpose for our life.

But before we can understand His purpose, we should understand who God is. That His Name in this current dispensation of grace is JESUS, for He shall save His people from their sins ... Emmanuel, being interpreted, God with us. (Matthew 1:21-23) To wit, God in Christ redeeming the world unto Himself. (II Corinthians 5:17)

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; to wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the Word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech [you] by us: we pray [you] in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. For He hath made Him [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him." (II Corinthians 5:17-21)

"Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which He hath purchased with His own blood." (Acts 20:28)

Do you remember who fathered Jesus in the womb? Luke (who was a physician) wrote that the Holy Ghost overshadowed Mary so that she could bring forth a son. (Luke 1:35) If the scriptures stopped there, we could be led to believe that Jesus and the Father are separate, and not one. But thankfully, and for our sakes, the scriptures did not stop at that point.

Indeed, Jesus told His disciples, "I and My Father are ONE!" (John 10:30) Jesus told His disciples that "if ye have seen Me, ye have seen the Father." (John 14:6-12)

"He was in the world and the world was made by Him and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own and His own received Him not." (John 1:10-11)

"And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory." (I Timothy 3:16)

This is why we praise God in song, making a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation. This is why we come before His presence with thanksgiving and make a joyful noise unto Him with psalms. this is why we bow before Him declaring that He -- Jesus is indeed Lord of heaven. As Peter (standing with the eleven) said on the day of Pentecost -- "This same Jesus whom ye have crucified is both Lord and Christ." (Acts 2:36)

Both the Lord God from heaven robed in flesh as the son of man, but also, as well, still the prophesied Christ. The first Adam, earthy, but the second Adam, the Lord from heaven. For the Lord Jesus is a Great God, and a Great King above all gods. (Psalm 95:3) The King of kings and Lord of lords. (Revelation 1:8)

Yes, Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the ending -- He who was and is and is to come is inviting us to the greatest wedding feast ever, and all He asks is that we believe in Him, and are water baptized in His precious Name -- the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Acts 2:36-41) He does the rest, filling us with His gift of the Holy Ghost. And those spiritual gifts increase when our faith desires the spiritual, the Lord giving severally as He will. Giving according to the measure of our faith. Giving to those who continue to flow His Word through to others so that no one is without His free gift of salvation.

This is why those who believe know that there is so much to be thankful for ... because the Great Shepherd wept to bring us salvation, just as He did in the Garden of Gethsemane before the cross. In this dispensation of grace, we have been given ample opportunity to enter into the rest which He has promised to those who choose to love Him -- our Lord God and Saviour Jesus the Christ with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 12:29-31)

Don't wait another day to cry out to the Lord of hosts. Ask the Lord Jesus to save you, and sanctify you, and justify you and make you whole again. Study the New Testament for His instruction and guidance. Pray without ceasing and rejoice evermore.

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." (I Corinthians 5:17) Stand in the offering plate.

For The Lord Is A Great God, And A Great King Above All gods - Part 2009

"For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. For then would they not have ceased to be offered? Because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

Wherefore when He comes into the world, He saith, "Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast Thou prepared me: in burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin Thou hast had no pleasure." Then said I, "Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of Me!) to do Thy will, O God." Above when He said, "Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin Thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein" -- which are offered by the law; then said He, "Lo, I come to do Thy will, O God. He takes away the first, that He may establish the second."

By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all." (Hebrews 10:1-10)

Indeed, when He came into the world to redeem us from sin -- God our Saviour -- the first covenant had to go so that He could establish a second new covenant. (I Timothy 3:16; John 1:10-11; Isaiah 9:6)

"... the Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing!" (Hebrews 9:8)

You see, by His will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus the Christ once and for all. But when He first sojourned on the New Testament side, Jesus began by first reading from the prophetical book of Esaias [Isaiah]. There He read a passage that stated, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, for He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captive, and recover the sight of the blind, To set at liberty them that are bruised, and to preach the acceptable year of the Lord." And He closed the book.

In other words, Jesus was preaching the acceptable will of the Lord. The prophecies from afore that were intended for us to understand that this same Jesus whom was crucified is both Lord and Christ. And that in ushering in the New Testament, we have become witnesses to the day of God’s visitation wen He takes away the first, while firmly establishing the second.

Recall when Jesus had completed all that was required to secure our redemption? He sat down. Jesus paid the ultimate price for our sin with His own precious holy blood shed on a cross for you and I. The greatest gift when the Good Shepherd willingly lays down His life for His sheep. But in this case, our Lord God went further, for He laid down His humanity whilst we were still His enemies.

So when Jesus is standing, it is because a new dispensation of grace, or unmerited favour has commenced. In Acts 7:56, Stephen presented the good news of salvation to a group of religious people, laying out these same historical events. Note in Acts 7 that Jesus was standing. The significance of standing is that this was to be the FINAL call to a religious Jewish nation. They were at that moment to be cut off because of their stubborn unbelief.

" ... unto whom I sware in My wrath that they should not enter into My rest." (Psalm 95:11; Hebrews 3:11)

"For we which have believed do enter into rest, as He said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into My rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world .... And in this place again, If they shall enter into My rest." (Hebrews 4:3, 5)

Continuing in Acts 7, Saul [later to become apostle Paul] was party to all these happenings. But unbeknownst to Saul, he was to be met by the Lord Jesus when he journeyed to Damascus. While he journeyed to Damascus, the Lord revealed that Saul was a chosen vessel unto Him. As a result, Paul would now be His Apostle to the Gentiles. Note that Jesus stood up while Stephen was being stoned to death. This sojourning is further expanded upon in Acts chapters 8 and 9.

But the good news is that this meeting led to the complete altering of the future. In this context, we need to understand that the Lord's way is not our way. He looks not on the outward appearance of men, but rather He looks into one's heart. And to that end, God swung open the door of obtainable salvation to the Gentiles. The Lord redeemed to Himself a believing people, who would be His own people, and as stated in the scriptures, He is going to call this people by His name. These people will be His bride.

Without the shedding of His blood, there shall be no remission of sin. We are washed with the water of the Word of God and now we are clean. We are sanctified through the Word that He has spoken to us. His Truth! (John 17:!7) As He said, he that is internally clean needs nothing more than to wash His feet.

Peter was admonished of God when God alerted him that what He, God has cleansed we must never call (His believing bride ) common or unclean. We are bone of his bone and flesh of His flesh. A new covenant was established and brought us into the reality of being purchased by God Himself. Nothing shall separate us from the love of God toward us. God’s love being visibly expressed when He gave Himself for us.

To An Inheritance Incorruptible, And Undefiled, And That Fades Not Away, Reserved In Heaven For You - Part 2008

"And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible." (I Corinthians 9:25)

"... being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the Word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever." (I Peter 1:23)

"In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." (Corinthians 15:52)

It is such a blessing being born again. Born not of corruptible seed as one might imagine, but of incorruptible seed -- by the Word of God. This is the Word of the Lord which by the good news gospel is delivered to you. Indeed, it is this same gospel in which the Word of the Lord endures forever.

In Noah's day (as you may recall from the scriptures) people watched, scoffed and mocked the ark that Noah was building. Still, Noah kept on working because he knew that God was in charge. God knew the purpose in building an ark, and Noah trusted God completely. Thus, we see that throughout the 100 years that the ark was under construction, Noah worked while God directed the project.

Meanwhile, the then generation carried on living as if the world (as they knew it) would last forever. They were completely oblivious to the fact that men and women are only one heart beat away from eternity. Considered a different way, we at least recognize that when we are going on a long journey, we will need to allow some time beforehand to pack a suitcase. It is the same scenario in our human life. At the end of our life journey is God. And eternity is eternity. We are on a one way ticket and as such, only we can choose the direction we take.

Still, God remains on the long suffering sideline, being ignored as if this wonderful created intelligent world was created by dumb matter. Rather than understand God's purpose for our lives, men and women are willingly putting God on the back burner. It is no wonder the Lord wept when He realized that even though He shed His precious holy blood so that we could find safety in His ark, we continue in our day to day, as if He doesn't even exist.  So was society in Noah's time, very much the same trends we are witnessing today.

But Noah, heeding God’s warning that a catastrophe was imminent was preparing an escape route. Preparing an ark of safety for himself and his family.  Looking back historically, we know that the flood did happen -- even though --sadly -- people of that generation refused to recognize the writing on the wall. As instructed by the Lord, Noah loaded the ark with creatures of every size. He rounded up 7 pairs of clean animals, 1 pair of unclean animals and he put them on board along with his family. His family consisted of eight persons. When everyone was on board, God closed the ark door. Let me say that again. God closed the door of the ark and not Noah.

Still, the rain started, and rain it did. In fact, it rained so much that all earth and the life therein was destroyed. Indeed, for forty days and forty nights it rained.

"By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith." (Hebrews 11:7)
The point worth noting here is this. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. The scripture saith that the ark is Jesus, and the door or entrance into the ark is accomplished when our very being is buried or baptized into His death. When we are buried/baptized under the water, our old sinful past life is drowned. When we arise out of the water, we are resurrected into a new life.  For when we are resurrected with Him, not only are we resurrected, but we arise totally justified from all our sins. (Romans 6:3-4; I Peter 3:20-21; Acts 2:36-38)

Further, water baptism is similar to the time when the children of Israel in the old covenant crossed the Red Sea. It is said that in so doing, they were baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea. (I Corinthians 10:1-4) Reaching the other river bank in safety, while the Egyptians endeavouring to do the same all drowned in the water. It is evident that they were not in the ark of safety.

As apostle Paul writes, "Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; and were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; and did all eat the same spiritual meat; and did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ." (I Corinthians 10:1-4)
Today, believers are still baptized into the death of Jesus. He is the covenant of promise, the ark of safety wherein believers are saved by God. Not because they were deserving of salvation and neither was it because that they had cleaned up their fleshly conduct. Rather, it was because they reverently feared and believed that God had prepared an ark of safety for them too.

As believers then, their faith was expressed by their baptism into the death of Jesus, the only begotten Son of the Holy Ghost. Again, the ark of safety. These believers simply put their lives into the hands of a faithful, loving Saviour. They trusted in Him as young children believe and trust in their parents. By faith ...

Additionally, when the believers were baptized, they knew in whom they had faith, and as a consequence, they were not baptized in any other Name. They were not baptized into Peter, Paul or the name of another. Their salvation was secure in the name of JESUS. (Acts 2:36-41) As such, they passed from the old covenant of death and entered into the grace of God - and into an abundant life. You also can come and be baptized in the name of Jesus too.

Why? Because He will wash away your sins. He will make you anew. He will sanctify you in His precious blood. He will sanctify you through His Word. Thy Word is truth. (John 17:17)

Therefore, do not delay another day, for today is the day of salvation. Call on His name - the Name of JESUS so that you also can become a recipient of God's grace. As Peter standing with the eleven said, "Herefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ."

Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do?" Then Peter said unto them, "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, "Save yourselves from this untoward generation." Then they that gladly received His Word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

Peace to all who are in Jesus. Stand in the offering plate.

In God Is My Salvation And My Glory: The Rock Of My Strength, And My Refuge Is In Him -- Jesus, The Word Of Truth - Part 2007

"And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption." (Ephesians 4:30)

"For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens ... For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life." (II Corinthians 5:1, 4)

Hear ye every man in our own tongue, speaking the wonderful works of God? In Acts 2, we see the events that had transpired at the tower of Babel in the Old Testament, where confusion of man’s tongue into various languages was introduced, reversed.  Even though the scenario reversal was only temporary, God used language to purposely retarded man’s own self-serving purposes.

You will recall that the agenda of men at the tower of Babel was to build a tower that reached high into the heavens. The fallen angels were homesick and their entrance visa into heaven had been cancelled  because of their collective terrorist activities and destruction. As a consequence, the most they could do was to hopefully peer into the heavens. But God would not allow that to happen, as stated in the Old Testament scriptures.

However, when the dayspring from on high visited His people, the dispensations changed. The New Testament was ushered in through our Lord God and Saviour Jesus the Christ. (Hebrews 9:8, 14-18) As the Holy Ghost thus signified, this could not happen while the first covenant -- the Old Testament remained. (Hebrews 9:8)

Thus, in the New Testament, the multitudes that gathered together at Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost were able to witness God's spin on the tower of Babel. Indeed, something strange to their eyes and ears occurred, one that was possibly as equally strange as the previous Babel event. That is, men who had previously been conversing with one another in normal everyday language suddenly entered into a state of total confusion. In the midst, observers thought they had possibly lost it, or were drunken.

As the scriptures record -- "These men are drunk. Are they not all Galileans? If this is so, how come we hear them speaking in our own language?"

I Corinthians 12 effectively links the correlation and purpose together. Here, Peter standing with the eleven apostles noted that the Lord Jesus had given to Peter (and the others) the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven. Also note that it was Peter who preached God’s reconciliatory Word of truth to this initially Jewish audience. Later, in Acts 10, this same reconciliatory gospel is presented to the Gentiles. It is this preaching of the gospel that opens the door to Heaven thereby allowing the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus the Christ to shine into individual’s believing hearts.

It is at this point that we are introduced to the first message preached by the Spirit of God through the mouths of His newborn adopted sons. Recall that Jesus, after He ascended on high still, through the Holy Ghost directed His apostles whom He had chosen. (Acts 1:2-3) God was still in charge. God's plan of salvation was still unfolding. Acts chapter 2:14-36 expands upon this message, providing further detail into the events that had transpired. [This might be a good time to refresh yourself in these scriptures before proceeding.]

Continuing in Acts 2:36, Peter (standing with the eleven) said, "Therefore, let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has declared that this same Jesus, whom ye crucified is both Lord and Christ." In the next scripture, the people, hearing this holy Spirit delivery and confirmation of these aforementioned things were pricked in their heart." Asking Peter and the other apostles, "What shall we do?" meant that these people recognized that they were between a rock and a hard place.

"And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all ..." (Hebrews 9:3)

"But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building." (Hebrews 9:11)

The Lord from heaven Himself presented this first message, a message that was delivered personally by the administrator of the new covenant. This New Covenant, in case you wondered, is none other than the Spirit of Jesus, who had said prophetically through Joel the prophet, that God would pour out His spirit upon all flesh. But that is not all. This pouring out of His spirit upon all flesh would cause your sons and your daughters to prophesy as well. (Joel 2:28; Acts 2:1-47)

Perhaps, at this point, each one of us should take some time to meditate on this Holy Ghost message, remembering that as God said in Acts 15:16 He would build again the tabernacle of David which had fallen down,  replacing the formerly destroyed temple with living stones. Undoubtedly, as revealed here, God is building a triumphant building. Not a building made with brick and mortar, but rather His is the temple in which His Spirit is pleased to dwell.

"And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God." (Revelation 21:3)

Blessed Be God And Father Of Our Lord Jesus Christ Who Hath Blessed Us With All Spiritual Blessings In Christ - Part 2006

"Blessed [be] God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort ..." (II Corinthians 1:3)

"
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly [places] in Christ: according as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love: having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the beloved.

In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace; wherein He hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; having made known unto us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He hath purposed in Himself: that in the dispensation of the fullness of times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in Him.

In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him who works all things after the counsel of His own will: that we should be to the praise of His glory, who first trusted in Christ. in whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the Word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of His glory.

Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him: the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of His mighty power, which He wrought in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and set Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places ... far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: and hath put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the Head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him that filleth all in all." (Ephesians 1:1-23)

In many of the publications we read, it becomes about us, and our wisdom and knowledge that is earthly But herein, Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God is writing to the saints and faithful in Christ Jesus. What do we see? That in Paul's communication here, the message is all about how our Lord God Almighty willingly robed Himself in flesh and became our Saviour.

The Good Shepherd laying down His own humanity for the sheep -- you and I -- who until this time could never have an opportunity to commune with the Spirit of the Lord God who moved upon the face of the waters in the beginning. But now, as Paul states, the invitation to our hearts has been made and thus, in Jesus we can gather together knowing His abundant love for His people.

This same God our Saviour in whom we have redemption through His blood. (Acts 20:28)

This same God our Saviour in whom we have forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace. (Acts 2:36-41)

This same God our Saviour who has made known the mystery of His will, which He Himself purposed in Himself from the very beginning.

This same God our Saviour who we -- in Him and by Him have obtained an inheritance because we trusted in the Word of truth -- Jesus as both Lord and Christ, repenting and being water baptized in His precious Name -- the Name of JESUS, for He shall save His people from their sins, and are now sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of His glory.

This is the good news gospel message of the Lord Jesus Christ -- that we need to understand in our very being. That is, what is the fellowship of the mystery which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ; to the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly [places]; might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, according to the eternal purpose which He purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of Him. (Ephesians 3:9-12)

For this cause, we bow our knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ -- the Holy Ghost, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named.

One Thing I Know, That, Whereas I Was Blind, Now I See -- Part 2005

If the blind lead the blind, they might both find themselves in a ditch. This is hardly the situation one should want to find themselves in. This is why, sometimes, relying on an analogy or an example to explain God's message can be helpful.

For example, sons and daughters of God ought to stop considering that the unsaved -- those who do not know of the saving grace of our Lord God and Saviour Jesus the Christ, should know what salvation is. How could they? You were there once. Indeed, we all were, blind to understanding God's plan of salvation. But now, by accepting the salvation that Jesus provided on the cross, when He shed His precious holy blood for you and I, we have been made partakers of the power of the life to come. So, in this context, cease striving to perform good works. The fruits of your salvation will shine through as you get closer in your heart to the Lord.

We see this in John 9, wherein Jesus passing by, stops to heal the man who was blind from birth.

"And as Jesus passed by, He saw a man which was blind from his birth. And His disciples asked Him, saying, "Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?" Jesus answered, "Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. I must work the works of Him that sent Me, while it is day: the night comes, when no man can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the Light of the world."

When Jesus had thus spoken, He spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, and said unto him, "Go, wash in the pool of Siloam" -- (which is by interpretation -- Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.

The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, "Is not this he that sat and begged?" Some said, "This is he." Others said, " ... he is like him" but he said, "I am he." Therefore said they unto him, "How were thine eyes opened?" 11 He answered and said, "A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, "Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash," and I went and washed, and I received sight." Then said they unto him, "Where is He?" [referring to Jesus. The man] said, "I know not." (John 9:1-14)

So, they brought the healed blind man to the Pharisees. It was the sabbath day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes. The Pharisees asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto them, "He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and do see." Therefore, said some of the Pharisees, "This man is not of God, because He keeps not the sabbath day." Others said, "How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles?" And there was a division among them.

Again, they say unto the blind man, "What say thou of Him, that He hath opened thine eyes?" The man said, "He is a prophet." But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight. And they asked them, saying, "Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? how then doth he now see?" The man's parents answered them and said, "We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind: but by what means he now sees, we know not; or who hath opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; ask him: he shall speak for himself."

These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that He was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue. Therefore said his parents, " ... he is of age; ask him." (John 9:15- 23)

Then again called they the man that was blind, and said unto him, "Give God the praise: we know that this man is a sinner." The man answered and said, "Whether He be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see."

This comment in and of itself, plus the fact that the man who was blind could now see should have sufficed. However, as we see, it did not. For they then said unto the man again, "What did He to thee? how opened He thine eyes?" The man answered them, "I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be His disciples?"

Then they reviled him, and said, "... thou art His disciple; but we are Moses’ disciples. We know that God spake unto Moses: as for this fellow, we know not from whence He is." The man answered and said unto them, "Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence He is, and yet He hath opened mine eyes. Now we know that God hears not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and does His will, him He hears. Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind. If this man were not of God, He could do nothing."

They answered and said unto him, "Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us?" And they cast him out. However, Jesus heard that they had cast the man out; and when He had found him, He said unto him, "Dost thou believe on the Son of God?" The man answered and said, "Who is He, Lord, that I might believe on Him?" And Jesus said unto him, "Thou hast both seen Him, and it is He that talks with thee." And he said, "Lord, I believe." And the man worshipped Jesus.

So much here to understand, but as we can learn, the blind man (who for all those years from birth could not see) now had sight. However, unlike those whom Jesus fed and wanted more because their bellies were hungry, the man whom was blind desired more of Jesus in his heart. Listen again to what he said to the Pharisees who were Moses disciples and thus, reviled Jesus.

That is, that his healing was a marvellous thing, and that even though they knew not from whence Jesus is, these should have rejoiced for He opened the blind man's eyes. There is more.

" ... Now we know that God hears not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and does His will, him He hears. Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind? If this man were not of God, He could do nothing." (John 9:30-33; John 3:2, 10; John 9:16; Zechariah 7:1)

Remember Nicodemus, the ruler of the Jews? Did he not also say to Jesus by night, "Rabbi, we know that Thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that Thou doest except God be with Him." (John 3:1-2; John 7:50; John 19:39; Acts 10:38) And Jesus said unto him, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee -- Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God!" (John 3:3)

That being born again -- not of corruptible seed but of incorruptible -- by the Word of God, which lives and abides for ever. The Word of the Lord which endures forever. The same Word made flesh and dwelt among us. (John 1:1-14; John 14:6-12) And this is the Word which by the gospel is preached unto you. (I Peter 1:23-25; Isaiah 40:6-8; John 1:11-13; James 1:18)

Jesus said, "For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind." And some of the Pharisees which were with Him heard these words, and said unto Him, "Are we blind also?"  Jesus said unto them, "If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, "We see" --  therefore your sin remains." (John 9:39-41)

We who believe in Jesus by faith should want the scales to fall from our eyes, so that we can behold Him - the Great Shepherd who gave His life for His sheep while we were still His enemies. After the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared. (Titus 3:4-7) And ye shall call His Name JESUS, for He shall save His people from their sins. (Matthew 1:21-23)

JESUS -- the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the ending. The King of kings and Lord of lords. The everlasting Father. (Revelation 1:8; Isaiah 9:6)

The blind man did not fail to proclaim his healing, or his desire to worship the Lord who healed him because if this man -- Jesus -- was not of God, He could have done nothing. Admittedly, there may come a time for you too when you have to shake the dust off your feet because of unbelief.  Still, in the interim, we can continue to set the table, sending out the invitations to the 'whosoever will' in order that they too might come, dine and pray, remembering that God loves the lost more than you or I.

And He proved His love for His beloved people when He wrote His love in crimson red -- His precious holy blood shed for you and I on that cross. Now that is love. Recall the parable of the sewer who went out to sow seed in the harvest field?  Not all the seeds took root. Some of the seeds fell here and some seeds fell in all the wrong places. The seeds that fell in the latter places withered and died. There is a message here. That is, keep your hand upon the throttle and your eyes upon the rail. A boat without a rudder is going wherever the tide or wind directs it. For us, though, the Lord is our Shepherd. He guides us and directs us. Whether the wind or tide rocks us to or fro, we can rest assured that Jesus has us safely in His arms.

The lyrics to the old hymn -- We love to tell the story; It will be our theme in glory; to tell the old, old story ... of JESUS and His Love.

Jesus is still the Light of this world. And this same Lord Jesus wants to heal your blindness so that you can see His abundance of love and mercy and grace for you too. Thus, ask the Lord Jesus Christ into your heart today. Repent and be water baptized in the precious Name of our Lord God and Saviour Jesus the Christ. (Acts 2:36-38) Find a New Testament and begin reading His Word, asking the Lord Jesus to show you the way, the truth and the life, that can only be found in Him. (John 14:6) And be sanctified by Thy Word, which is Truth. (John 17:!7)

Not For That We Have Dominion Over You But Are Helpers Of Your Joy; For By Faith Ye Stand - Part 2004

"Now the God of peace that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that Great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever, amen." (Hebrews 13:20-21)

"Therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God." (Romans 5:1-2)

Thus, because of the Lord Jesus Christ, we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and can rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation works patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope; and hope makes not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is give unto us ... "for when we were yet without strength, in due time, Christ died for the ungodly." (Romans 5:2-6)

Moreover, God commended His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. "Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, being reconciles, we shall be saved by His life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the have now received the atonement." (Romans 5:7-11)

Why? Because by one man (Adam's transgression) sin entered into the world, and also, death by sin, so death passed upon all men. Indeed, for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. A point that should be made here is that, as the scriptures state, "until the law, sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law." (Romans 5:12-13)

Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of Him that was to come. The first Adam, earthy, and the second, the Lord from heaven. And because of His kindness and love toward man, God became our Saviour. (Titus 3:4-7; II John 1:9) The dayspring from on high hath visited His people. " ... for there is no Saviour beside Me!" (Hosea 13:4; Isaiah 43:11; Isaiah 45:21-22;) And He did so in order that our hearts would no longer be divided, but rather focused solely on the Lord our God who loves us beyond measure. (Hosea 10:2)

Continuing in Romans 5, apostle Paul writes:

"But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, [which is] by one man, Jesus Christ hath abounded unto many. And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift; for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of may offences unto justification.

"For if by one man's offence death reigned by one: much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ. Therefore, as by the offence of one judgment came upon all me to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life ..." (Romans 5:17-18)

In other words, man's disobedience led to all of us being born into sin, but by the obedience of One shall many be made righteous. Sin may have reigned unto death, but grace -- the grace and love and kindness of God our Saviour -- reigns through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

So much to be thankful for! "For it is God which works in you both to will and to do of [His] good pleasure ..." (Philippians 2:13) "Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being samples to the flock, and when the Chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fades not away." (I Peter 5:3-4)

Thus, as Hosea prophesied, "Come and let us return unto the Lord for He hath torn, and He will heal us; He hath smitten and He will bind us up. After two days will He revive us; in the third day He will raise us up, and we shall live in His sight. Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord, His going forth is prepared as the morning; and He shall come unto us as the rain -- as the latter and former rain unto the earth." (Hosea 6:1-2; Isaiah 1:18; Luke 24:46; Acts 10:40; I Corinthians 15:4)

His Name is JESUS, for He shall save His people from their sins ... Emmanuel, being interpreted, God with us!

For We Are Come As Far As To You Also In Preaching The Gospel of Christ, That Your Faith May Be Increased - Part 2003

"For the kingdom of God is not in Word but in power. What will ye? Shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love, and in the spirit of meekness?" (I Corinthians 4:20-21)

"I beseech you therefore brethren by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God ..." (Romans 12:1-2)

Apostle Paul (who received his understanding of the scriptures by revelation, and also a doctrinal foundation through a certain disciple at Damascus -- Ananias) wrote a considerable portion of the New Testament to the Gentiles so that we would not be without concerning the knowledge of God and the Kingdom. (Acts 9:1-20)

Indeed, Paul, in writing to the church of the Thessalonians wrote that in preaching -- "our exhortation was not of deceit, nor uncleanness, nor in guile, but as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God which tries our hearts." (I Thessalonians 2:1-7)

But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but as pleasing God which tries our hearts; for neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloak of covetousness. God is witness. Apostle Paul goes on to say that "we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherishes her children."

Why is this important? Because, when we preach the good news gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, making known the mystery of the gospel, we also stand therefore, having our loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness, and our feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace, taking the shield of faith to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. (Ephesians 6:14-18)

Admittedly, this is not an easy task. Nevertheless, as Paul instructs, we who believe in the Lord Jesus by faith similarly take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God, praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

This same gospel which came not unto them in Word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance, holding the faith and, as well, a good conscience. (I Timothy 1:18-19) To the saints in Corinth, Paul wrote:

"Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you: but I beseech you, that I may not be bold when I am present with that confidence, wherewith I think to be bold against some, which think of us as if we walked according to the flesh. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds) casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; and having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ’s, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ’s, even so are we Christ’s. For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord hath given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed: that I may not seem as if I would terrify you by letters. For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible. Let such an one think this, that, such as we are in word by letters when we are absent, such will we be also in deed when we are present.

For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise. But we will not boast of things without our measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you. For we stretch not ourselves beyond our measure, as though we reached not unto you: for we are come as far as to you also in preaching the gospel of Christ: not boasting of things without our measure, that is, of other men’s labours; but having hope, when your faith is increased, that we shall be enlarged by you according to our rule abundantly, to preach the gospel in the regions beyond you, and not to boast in another man’s line of things made ready to our hand. But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. For not he that commends himself is approved, but whom the Lord commends." (II Corinthians 10:1-18)

It is in this context, for this cause that we obtained mercy in the first place, that in Jesus Christ we can shew forth all long suffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on Him to life everlasting.

"Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the ONLY wise God, be honour and glory forever and ever, amen!" (I Timothy 1:17; Psalm 10:16; Romans 1:23; Hebrews 11:27; Revelation 1:8; Romans 16:27; I Chronicles 29:11; I Timothy 3:16)

Jesus Said, " ... he that believeth on Me!" - Part 2002

Jesus said, "He that believeth on Me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water." (John 7:38)

Jesus said, " If ye abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you." (John 15:7)

Jesus said, "“For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed Me: for he wrote of Me.” (John 5:46)

Jesus said, "... he that believeth on Me," as the scripture hath said, "out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake He of the Spirit, which they that believe on Him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)" Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, "Of a truth this is the prophet." (John 7:38-40)
In reality, the Lord has already come ... for when we ask Jesus to come into our heart, and we worship Him with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, His Spirit dwells within us. Moreover, Jesus said that He would not leave His followers comfortless. As the scriptures point out, Jesus said "I will come to you!"

Indeed, Jesus said, "If ye love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of Truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees Him not, neither knows Him: but ye know Him; for He dwells with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world sees Me no more; but ye see Me: because I live, ye shall live also. At that day ye shall know that I am in My Father, and ye in Me, and I in you." (John 14:15-20)

Further, the scriptures declare that all those who have by faith come to believe upon Jesus, are now a new creation of God. While admittedly, each believer may externally look the same as they did prior to their expressed faith in Jesus, on the inside they have been changed. Or, as the scriptures refer to the salvation experience - believers have been reborn -- their minds renewed. They were not strapped to an operating table whilst someone rearranged their inners. Oh no. The inward change that occurs is a direct result of the promise of Jesus - that He would not leave those who believe in Him by faith comfortless. He will come to you.

In that moment, when people ask Jesus into their life, they are born again, or phrased another way, born of God. All of this internal change occurs in a moment of time. In fact, in a second of time even though in God's view, that is still too long. This may explain why the scriptures use the language "in the twinkling of an eye."

The most important message for us is that heaven is just a prayer away. Similarly, we need to recognize that God has stated, that even before we call, He will answer. Nothing separates a believer from the love of God that can be found only in Jesus. Because the Spirit of God who fills the heavens and the earth is no longer on the outside. He is the same Spirit that was in the man Jesus. And it is the same Jesus who has taken up residence within the heart of believers.

Still, in terms of the original point of this post - the day of the Lord will come upon us. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise to come again. There will be a second coming of God. In this context, and apart from a personal experience of rebirth, there is no redemption available to mankind after the second coming.

The lyrics from the O'Jays song "Love Train" pretty well says it all. Please do not miss this train at the station, for if you miss it we will be sorry ... yes, sorry for you. Don’t you know that it is time to get on board for this love train bearing the message of God is travelling on through? If you haven't reached out to Jesus as both your Lord and Christ, this would be the most opportune time. (Acts 2:36-41)

On a different note, there are those who repeatedly question why anyone should have the right to hear this message twice when some have never heard the gospel message once. There is a parable in the New Testament that refers to this. Recall the ten virgins, of whom five are categorized as being wise and the other five foolish?

The latter group all slumbered and slept, having become recipients of mans' foolish wisdom, and having swallowed satan’s bait -- hook, line and sinker. Thus, instead of preparing for the coming of their King, they believed that nothing had changed within the world. Everything would continue to be the same, even though all around them, unbelievers -- those who do not know Jesus as their personal Saviour -- are becoming increasingly alarmed at the surrounding chaos. In fact, Jesus said men's hearts would fail them for fear.

As a consequence of this worldly blindness that prevents these from seeing the truth, their collective belief in God has dissipated to the place that their lamps of belief had virtually gone out. Sadly, their light hidden under. a bushel.

Nevertheless, the parable speaks of a certain time when a voice was heard declaring, "Behold, the bridegroom is coming." This is when the virgins (upon hearing this news) arose and began to trim their lamps of belief. Unfortunately, the five foolish virgins recognized that they had no oil in their lamps (the oil symbolic of the Spirit of God dwelling within).  They hastily went to purchase oil. Upon their return to where the five wise virgins had been they were confronted with the fact that indeed the bridegroom had returned and they had missed the train.

This parable leads us to the all important question. With which group do you want to be found among the ten when we hear the news, "Behold, the bridegroom come"? Would you not want to be ready to meet Him? Like the five "wise" virgins?

This day is the day of salvation! Don't let this day pass without making your heart right with the Lord God Almighty who willingly chose to become our Saviour. The promised Christ wherein, as the angel declared, would save His people from their sins. He is the King of kings and Lord of lords. His Name (in this current dispensation of grace) is JESUS! (Matthew 1:21-23)

No other name whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:12) The Name above every other name given by God to His people from the beginning of time. (Philippians 2:9) The SAME NAME OF JESUS whereby every knee will bow and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of the Father.

And now, in these last days, Christ is inviting you to come and believe in the promised hope of the glory of eternal life. The message is simple. Only Jesus saves. He alone has the words of eternal life.

This is why Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man comes to the Father but by Me." (John 14:6)

Please do not miss this message of the all important second coming of the Lord Jesus the Christ. It's your call - accept His invitation today. Continue onward, always looking upward, to repentance and water baptism in the precious name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost in your heart. Study His Word daily, so that you can be nourished from His Word.

Again, please do not delay. Rather, come to the Lord Jesus the Christ today for He is forever able to fill your heart with His love, His joy, His peace, and His wisdom and knowledge. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever BELIEVES IN HIM should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

Make that "whosoever" your heart this day. Stand in the offering plate.

In Whom We Have Redemption Through His Blood, The Forgiveness Of Sins, According To The Riches Of His Grace - Part 2001

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." (Ephesians 2:8-10)

"Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; and are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; in whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: in whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit." (Ephesians 2:19-22)

The scriptures record that Abraham was a friend of God. In this context, Abraham believed God with expectancy, inheriting the promised blessing of the Seed of Christ. Similarly, our belief in the Word of God is counted to us as righteousness. Like Abraham, we should stagger not at the promises of God, for with God nothing is impossible, if we only believe with expectancy.

The recorded birth of Isaac was to man an impossible achievement. Abraham and Sarah had aged beyond recognized child-bearing years. At the time, when all seemed impossible God stepped in and did what no other power could do. That Is, God provided Sarah with a child. God was faithful to His Word for the Word is God. Later, Isaac was born and the Seed of promise was implanted into Abraham. The promised Seed at the time of Isaac's conception passed from Abraham into Isaac's seed bank.

During this time, Abraham steps out into lands that he did not know. The difference was that God was directing his path. This act of faith is similar to our own journey today that encourages us to commit our way to the Lord and let the Lord direct our paths. But I digress. Abraham was brought by God into a land where he was told to lift up his eyes upon the land. God told Abraham to look as far as his eyes could see because it would be all his.

Indeed, Jesus said all that the Father has is Mine, and all that I have is yours. Lot who had travelled with Abraham was then offered whatever parcel of land he desired. Abraham settled in the remainder. Well, in these same scriptures, we read that Lot made a choice. However, he even thought the land looked like a better parcel of land, Lot's choice turned out to be a big mistake.

Isaac and Ishmael (step brothers) plus six other step brothers were born after Sarah death's of which no details are given. The last record of Ishmael was at Abraham's death, when the scriptures note that Ishmael had fathered twelve sons, and that Ishmael dwelt in their midst.

Apparently, there was no love lost between Ishmael and Isaac. Unbeknownst to them they were to be a similitude of the two covenants - that is, the covenant of bondage (represented by the child of the bondwoman - The Sinai law) and conversely, the covenant of Grace, represented by the child of the free woman. However, none of these natural offspring of Abraham's were the Seed of the promised blessing - which Seed was the Seed of God’s holy Spirit. This point provides some understanding of the spat that continues on even today between the two natural seeds of Abraham.

Unfortunately, this contention between them will continue until both come to the realization that it is not in Abraham's natural seed that man receives redemption. Nor is it in Abraham's natural seed that the world will be blessed. For the Seed hereof spoken of is the Seed of God’s holy Spirit. Those two Seeds of Promise brought forth the man Jesus the Christ, who is the Spirit of the unseen God manifest in the flesh as a Son.

(IMMANUEL being interpreted, God with us -- His Name is JESUS for He shall save His people from their sins).

Quicken Me After Thy Loving Kindness; So Shall I Keep The Testimony Of Thy Mouth; It Is Well With My Soul - Part 2000

"Shew Thy marvellous loving kindness, O Thou that savest by Thy right hand them which put their trust in Thee from those that rise up against them." (Psalm 17:7)

"Because Thy loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise Thee." (Psalm 63:3)

"I will mention the loving kindnesses of the Lord, and the praises of the Lord, according to all that the Lord hath bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which He hath bestowed on them according to His mercies, and according to the multitude of His loving kindnesses." (Isaiah 63:7)

Far too often, we far short from sharing our testimony, and the many benefits that the Lord Jesus gives us in the day to day. While we do speak of the love and joy and peace that He fills our soul with, it is also important to note the song in our heart that He give us wherein we can be assured in His loving kindness and mercy. Not only this day, but every day.

"O Lord: let Thy loving kindness and Thy truth continually preserve me" (Psalm 42:8)

"Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for Thou hast created all things, and for Thy pleasure they are and were created." (Revelation 4:11)

"Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, "Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto Him that sits upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever." (Revelation 5:12-13)

It is in this context that I wanted to share many of the scriptures that speak of His loving kindness for His people, from the perspective of David the psalmist. There are others, of course, but these have helped me to more fully understand the joy that Jesus (who is both Lord and Christ) has placed in my heart. (Acts 2:36) These are given for your edification and learning, and that when the tribulation and persecution comes, we can rejoice knowing assuredly that the Lord will never leave us, nor forsake us. That He, the same God who became our Saviour has a purpose for us, even when the fog of this world tries to move us from the Rock which is Christ.

"Remember, O Lord, Thy tender mercies and Thy loving kindnesses; for they have been ever of old." (Psalm 25:6)

"For Thy loving kindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in Thy truth." (Psalm 26:3)

"How excellent is Thy loving kindness, O God! Therefore, the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Thy wings ... O continue Thy loving kindness unto them that know Thee; and Thy righteousness to the upright in heart" (Psalm 36:7, 10)

"O continue Thy loving kindness unto them that know Thee; and Thy righteousness to the upright in heart.I have not hid Thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared Thy faithfulness and Thy salvation: I have not concealed Thy loving kindness and Thy truth from the great congregation." (Psalm 40:10-11)

"Yet the Lord will command His loving kindness in the daytime, and in the night His song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life." (Psalm 42:8)

"We have thought of Thy loving kindness, O God, in the midst of Thy temple." (Psalm 48:9)

"Hear me, O Lord; for Thy loving kindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of Thy tender mercies." (Psalm 69:16)

" ... to shew forth Thy loving kindness in the morning, and Thy faithfulness every night!" (Psalm 92:2)

" ... who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with loving kindness and tender mercies!" (Psalm 103:4)

"Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the loving kindness of the Lord." (Psalm 107:43)

Yes, indeed, we who believe in our Lord God and Saviour Jesus the Christ by faith have come to love Thy precepts, and praise Thy Name for Thy loving kindness, and for Thy truth ... "for Thou hast magnified Thy Word above all Thy name." (Psalm 119:159; Psalm 138:2)

Yes, indeed, we "hear Thy loving kindness in the morning; for in Thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto Thee." (Psalm 143:8)

And as Jeremiah writes, " ... but let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord which exercise loving kindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight," saith the Lord. (Jeremiah 9:24)

Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man comes unto the Father but by Me!" (John 14:6) This is why we can pray with assurance, knowing that "Thine is the Kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever, amen." Yes, indeed, "Alleluia; salvation, and glory, and honour, and power unto the Lord our God," our Saviour, the King of kings and Lord of lords, Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, the first and the last.  (Revelation 19:3; Revelation 1:8)

Let The Word Of Christ Dwell In You Richly In All Wisdom, Singing With Grace In Your Hearts To The Lord - Part 1999

"Behold, bless ye the Lord, all ye servants of the Lord, which by night stand in the house of the Lord." (Psalm 134:1)

"[Yet] the Lord will command His loving kindness in the daytime, and in the night His song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life." (Psalm 42:8)

So many scriptures, validating the joy and peace of the Spirit of our Lord who willingly dwells in the hearts of those who believe in His Name by faith -- the Name of our Lord God and Saviour Jesus the Christ, and are water baptized in His Name -- the Name of Jesus. (Acts 2:36-41; Acts 10:44-48; Romans 6:3-4; I Peter 3:20) Not because of our own doing (because our works are as filthy rags), but rather, because the Lord God Almighty decided from the very beginning  of time to bring salvation to His people. To save His people by His grace, and that not of ourselves, it is the gift of God. Not by works lest any man should boast.

Who is this God who loved us so much? The Good Shepherd who laid down His life for His people?

And ye shall call His Name JESUS, for He shall save His people from their sins ... Emmanuel, being interpreted, God with us!" (Matthew 1:18-23; Luke 1:35; Acts 4:12; Philippians 2:9; Isaiah 9:6; Revelation 1:8)

Indeed, as a consequence of His love and kindness toward His beloved creation, God became our Saviour. This abundance of love, in and of itself, should cause us to sing, because His love shines within our hearts. To wit, that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself. (II Corinthians 5:17) Jesus being the He -- God manifest in the flesh -- who shed His precious holy blood on that cross so that we might experience eternal life in Him. (Acts 20:28; I Timothy 3:16)

The same Spirit of the Lord who moved across the face of the waters in the beginning is that God, and that same God is our Lord. (Psalm 18:2) The first man, Adam earthy, but the second, the Lord from heaven. This is why Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man comes to the Father but by Me!" (John 14:6) He is the Bread of Life, the living water wherein once we have tasted, we will never thirst again.

But there is much more. When the Lord Jesus shines brightly in our hearts (He becoming our all in all!) there is a song in our very being also, bubbling up with His joy and mercy and grace, inviting those around us to come unto our Lord God and Saviour Jesus the Christ and enjoy His "manifold much in this life" as well as everlasting life in the future. It is because of His salvation wherein He paid the price that we have so much to be very thankful for.

As David the psalmist wrote, "The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His Name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies. Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever." (Psalm 23:1-6)

Therefore, don't let the cares of this world overwhelm you. Instead, open your Bible and "let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." (Colossians 3:16)

This same "Word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (He is Lord of all!) ..." (Acts 10:36)

Thus It Is Written, And Thus It Behoved Christ To Suffer, And To Rise From The Dead The Third Day! - Part 1998

"Wherefore in all things it behoved Him to be made like unto His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people." (Hebrews 2:17; Luke 24:46)

For thus it becomes us to fulfill all righteousness. These are the words spoken by Jesus to John the baptist [baptizer] when Jesus appeared before John to be baptized. John did not understand why, someone of such prevalence would approach John to be baptized. Indeed, the idea was so unimaginable to John that he told Jesus that it should be the other way around. In fact, John figured that he was not even worthy to untie the shoes worn by Jesus and here Jesus was asking to be baptized. John thought it was he who needed to baptized of Him. But here was Jesus looking to be baptized. And so John, as the scriptures point out, baptized Jesus, according to the prophecy which baptism would fulfill. In so doing, John had seen the dove from heaven descend and rest on Jesus. John was right. Jesus was altogether pure.

"Behold, the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sins of the world!" (John 1:29)

There are some interesting parallels to be noted here. Fire did not descend upon Jesus as was the case in Acts chapter 2 where purification was required prior to the descent of the Spirit of Jesus into the assembled group of believers. Still, Jesus was the holy child of God. Jesus is the "only begotten" Son. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit seed which is why John was so reluctant to baptize Jesus.

And the angel answered and said unto her, "The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God." (Luke 1:35)

It is also the reason Jesus spoke the foregoing words.

And Jesus answering said unto him, "Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becomes us to fulfil all righteousness." Then he suffered Him." (Matthew 3:15)

Thus, when John obeyed and baptized Jesus, it was to fulfill all righteousness. In that moment, Jesus was revealing the righteousness of God. He who never had sinned took our sin upon Himself. He, the Just One put Himself in our place. The dayspring from on high having visited His people. He was also revealing to future generations - you and I - the scope and scale of the love God had for His created people. And this from the beginning of time.

Talk about mercy love and grace when the same Spirit of the Lord God who created man would put Himself in our place. Oh, the love that went into fulfilling the salvation plan. Oh, the grace that brought that same plan of salvation to man. Oh the mighty gulf that God did span when He died for us at Calvary. He put Himself in our place so that we might be saved. Equally important, because of God's love, we become clothed in the righteousness of Jesus.

This puts a totally different slant on righteousness. Herein is the righteousness of God revealed. Who is going to say that we are still dead in trespasses and sin when Christ has died, sacrificing His own life for us?  What condescension to bring to us redemption? Think about it! God took the form of man to bring to us a salvation plan. He Himself bore our sin in His own body nailed to a tree. He did not turn back when He was tortured for He knew that it as a consequence of those whipping stripes, we would be healed. This is truly redemption.

This is the second parallel. God’s plan of salvation was hidden from the previous generations. Still, it is now made known to us. We have the benefit of knowing that the Son of God became a curse in order to fulfill all righteousness. I stagger at the thought. Why me?

It is for this reason that I, having arrived at the place where I perceive that there is nothing that could ever possibly separate me from the love of the Spirit of God which was in the man Christ Jesus (God Himself as a son), could find the peace and love that was extended to us from any other place. Indeed, we have been reinstated from Adam's world of sin to glorious freedom. We've been purchased but not with silver or gold. We have been redeemed and our debt paid in full by the love God had for us. The scriptures state, "what God has cleansed, do not even think of condemning. For there is no condemnation to anyone that is in Christ Jesus."

Further, the Bread of Life (Jesus Himself saying I am the Bread of Life!) is meditating upon the love of God our Saviour. Jesus said, "This is My body given for you. This is My blood shed for you." (Matthew 26:26; Mark 14:22-23; Luke 22:19; I Corinthians 11:24; John 6:35, 51)

Now, with the plan of salvation fulfilled, the purpose of God is proceeding. As the scriptures state, the next step, after asking Jesus into your heart is to be born again of the water and of the spirit. We need to enter into the new covenant receiving the promise of His Spirit. If we follow the instructions of Jesus, and fulfill all righteousness by being baptized into the Name of the Lord Jesus, we receive all the blessings intended from God.

We receive His sealed covenant, the covenant of God in Christ.  Like the believers in Acts 2, we become filled with His Spirit, speaking in other tongues as His spirit gives utterance. Peace to all who are partakers of this plan of redemption. Likewise, peace to all those who are children of the second Adam (which is the Lord Himself) born again just like Jesus said of water and of His Spirit. Because it is at this juncture that we can sing to psalms and hymns in thanksgiving. We can reflect on the spiritual  things making melody in our heart to the Lord.

"[Yet] the Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night His song [shall be] with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life." (Psalm 42:8)

But Hath In Due Times Manifested His Word Through Preaching ... The Commandment Of God our Saviour - Part 1997

Jesus said, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending," saith the Lord, "which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty." (Revelation 1:8)

"... but hath in due times manifested His Word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour ..." (Titus 1:3)

"Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; who was faithful to Him that appointed Him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house. For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as He who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house. For every house is builded by some man; but He that built all things is God. And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; but Christ as a son over His own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end." (Hebrews 3:1-6)

In other words, God recognized that there was no man able to pay the price for our sins, which is why the sacrifice had to be a lamb without spot or wrinkle.

"Yea, truth fails; and he that departs from evil makes himself a prey: and the Lord saw it, and it displeased Him that there was no judgment. And He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore, His arm brought salvation unto Him; and His righteousness, it sustained Him. For He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon His head; and He put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloke.

According to their deeds, accordingly He will repay, fury to His adversaries, recompence to His enemies; to the islands He will repay recompence. So shall they fear the Name of the Lord from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against Him. And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob," saith the Lord.

But God had a plan to redeem His people -- after the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared. Indeed, God became our Saviour. The same God who is Spirit became flesh and gave His own bloods so that we might experience abundant life in Him. "Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which He hath purchased with His own blood. " (Acts 20:28)

"And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory." (I Timothy 3:16)

"He was in the world and the world was made by Him and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own and His own received Him not." (John 1:10-11)

But if God had said who He was when He walked this earth, the people would have followed Him because their bellies were hungry. But they would not have listened in their hearts. This is why God robed Himself in sin-prone flesh (yet without sin). This is why God said, "This day have I begotten Thee!"

"God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that He hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, "Thou art My Son, this day have I begotten Thee." (Acts 13:33)

"I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto Me, "Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten Thee." (Psalm 2:7)

The Holy Ghost this signifying that the New Testament could not be ushered in while the first tabernacle was yet standing. (Hebrews 9:8) The first covenant had to go if the dayspring from on high was to visit His people. Why? Because God had a brand new work planned for this current dispensation of grace, the time in which we live today.

"But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that He by the grace of God should taste death for every man. For it became Him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For both He that sanctifies and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause He is not ashamed to call them brethren, saying, "I will declare Thy Name unto My brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee. And again, I will put My trust in Him."

And again, "Behold I and the children which God hath given Me. Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. For verily, He took not on Him the nature of angels; but He took on him the seed of Abraham." (Hebrews 2:10-16)

Indeed, from the very beginning and right through to the end, God said, "Lo, behold, the volume of the book is written of Me!" (Psalm 40:7; Hebrews 10:7)

As Jesus clearly states to the churches, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending," saith the Lord, "which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty." (Revelation 1:8)

He is not another Lord, or a separate person from God, or a triad (as the modern day religious culture would have us believe) but rather, God manifest in the flesh. (I Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6) His Word made flesh and dwelling among us so that we could behold His glory. (John 1:1-18) As Jesus stated when He walked this earth, "If you do not believe that I am He, ye shall die in your sins." (John 8:24) And when He opened the understanding of the scriptures to His chosen disciples in Luke 24, they knew in whom they believed.

Jesus said, "I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am He, ye shall die in your sins." (John 8:24) And then, later, "Some said, "This is He" -- others [said], "He is like Him" -- but He said, "I Am [He]." (John 9:9)

And before Jesus ascended, wherein Jesus then THROUGH the Holy Ghost gave commandments unto the apostles whom He had chosen, Jesus said to His disciples, "These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning Me." Then opened He their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, and said unto them, "Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His Name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things. And, behold, I send the promise of My Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high." (Luke 24:44-49; Acts 1:2-3; Acts 2:1-47; Acts 4:12)

This is when the Holy Ghost, the Comforter, the Spirit of the Lord filled His people who repented of their sins, recognizing that this same Jesus whom was crucified is both Lord and Christ, and went on to be water baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus. (Acts 2:36-38)

He gave us His Name -- the Name of JESUS, for He shall save His people from their sins. (Matthew 1:21-23; Acts 4:12; Philippians 2:9; Matthew 12:21; Luke 1:31; Luke 2:21; Luke 24:47; John 1:12; John 2:23; John 5:43; John 20:31; Acts 3:16; Acts 5:41; Acts 10:43; Acts 15:14; Romans 1:5; Romans 15:9; I Timothy 6:1; II Timothy 2:19; Hebrews 6:10; Hebrews 13:15; I John 2:12; I John 3:23; III John 1:7; II John 1:9; Revelation 14:1; Revelation 19:13, 16)

"Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a Name which is ABOVE every name: that at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father.( Philippians 2:9-10)

In Revelation, John wrote, "And I saw in the right hand of Him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, "Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?" And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.

And one of the elders saith unto me, "Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof." And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. And He came and took the book out of the right hand of Him that sat upon the throne. And when He had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. And they sung a new song, saying, "Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for Thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by Thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; and hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth."

And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; saying with a loud voice, "Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing." And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, "Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto Him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever." (Revelation 5:1-13)

And in the event there would be any confusion, Jesus states, "I Jesus have sent Mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright and morning star." (Revelation 22:16)

"He which testifieth these things saith, "Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus ..." (Revelation 22:20)

"Behold, He cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending," saith the Lord, "which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty." (Revelation 1:7-8)

The greatest love story ever told, in that the Good Shepherd would lay down His own life for His beloved creation. (John 10:11-18; Luke 1:35; Acts 20:28)

"In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace ... " (Ephesians 1:7)

Jesus said, "For this is My blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins." (Matthew 26:28)
