Given Unto Us Exceeding Great And Precious Promises: That By These Ye Might Be Partakers Of The Divine Nature - Part 1990

"Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God!" (Romans 10:17)

"But hath in due times manifested His Word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour ... "(Titus 1:3)

In a world wherein we have become accustomed to hearing numerous voices (willing to pull us this way and that way), we who believe in Jesus by faith understand that there is only ONE way to truth and life, and that is through our Lord God and Saviour Jesus the Christ. Why? Because it was He -- God manifest in the flesh -- who willingly laid down His life on a cross so that we might be saved. (I Timothy 3:16) The good Shepherd laying down His own life for us, whilst we were still His enemies.

Yes, "He was in the world and the world was made by Him and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own and His own received Him not." (John 1:10-11)

The Word made flesh dwelt among us, so that we could behold His glory, wherein He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. (John 1:1-18; John 14:6-12) He is the Bread of life. He is the living water, wherein if we drink, we will never thirst again. Not as one third of g/God but as God Himself, who after His kindness and love toward man appeared. (Titus 3:4-7) All the fullness of the Godhead dwelling bodily in Him. (Colossians 2:9)

Yes, JESUS -- the ONLY Name under heaven whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:12) And for those who rely on names which God used on the Old Testament side, the New Testament scripture is also clear -- JESUS is the Name ABOVE every other name. (Philippians 2:9)

As the angel of the Lord declared, "His Name shall be called JESUS, for He shall save His people from their sins ... Emmanuel, being interpreted, God with us." (Matthew 1:21-23)

Thus, there is only one voice, one Good Shepherd that can set our hearts right with God, renewing our minds also so that we are focused solely on His goodness, and mercy, and grace. The Great I Am. The Prince of Peace! The Everlasting Father. The Lord God who came forth as a mighty man to become our Saviour. (Isaiah 9:6; Isaiah 42:13)

In fact, God has no other identity in this dispensation of grace except in Jesus. For He paid the ultimate price, and all He asks is that we humbly approach the Throne of grace, repenting of our sins, turning our hearts to Him, and being water baptized in His precious Name -- the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Acts 2:36-47; John 1:18, Hebrews 1:2-3, Colossians 1:15-20, Acts 4:10-12; Philippians 2:9; Acts 10:44-48; Romans 6:3-4; I Peter 3:21)

Why is this important? For He is our all in all, and when we respond to Jesus as both Lord and Christ in our hearts, He will freely give us the Holy Ghost -- His Spirit dwelling within for one and all to behold. To Him should be all our glory and honour and praise! For to Him gave all the prophets witness that through HIS NAME , whosoever believes in Him shall receive remission of sins. (Acts 10:42-48)

Thus, hear ye Him -- "to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen." (Jude 1:25)

He shall be for us a sanctuary! He shall be for us our hiding place! He shall be for us our only stronghold! The Rock which can never be moved!

Stand in the offering plate.
