Who Shall Separate Us from Jesus - Part 540

We have become more than conquerers through Jesus that loves us. This is why believers in Jesus are fully persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth shall separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8)

Indeed, as a consequence of Jesus' blood shed on the cross, there is now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after His Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made us free from the law of sin and death. For what the ten commandments and law dictated in the Old Testament could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh could accomplish.

Jesus on the cross in order that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us who walk not after the flesh but after His Spirit. Jesus. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but for those that are after the Spirit, there is only Jesus. "And when they lifted their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only." (Matthew 17:8)

You see once we have asked Jesus into our hearts, we are no longer in the flesh. No longer subject to the worldly spirit of bondage that subjects us to the whims of men. Instead, He that searches our hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. The one and only mediator between God and man -- Jesus.

Therefore when we let Jesus into our lives,  we receive the Spirit of adoption whereby we cry, Abba, Father. We become the children of our mighty God and Saviour.

Romans 8:18 states: "For I reckon that [even] the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us."

Therefore rejoice. Because we are in the Spirit and the Spirit of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is within us. We are delivered from the corruption of this world into the glorious liberty as the children of God. Free. Saved by hope. Who shall separate us from the love of Jesus? Shall tribulation or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or peril or sword? Not a chance.

Why? Because as it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long. We are counted as sheep for the slaughter and yet, in all these things we are more than conquerers through our God and Saviour that loves us.

For we know in whom we believe. And if the same Spirit of Him that raised Jesus from the dead dwells within us, He that raised up Christ from the dead will also quicken our mortal bodies by His spirit that dwelleth in us. All things work together for good to them that love God. Stand in the offering plate.
