Jesus is the Answer - Part 531

Jesus is the answer for your life today! Not only did He form us from the womb but He said "I will pour water upon [all those] that are thirsty." Thirsty for His Word. Yes, Jesus is pouring out His spirit upon us but He doesn't stop there. Matthew 5:6 - "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after [His] righteousness; for they shall be filled." Indeed, they shall spring up as among the grass as willows by the water courses. In delight of the many blessings that Jesus has declared for those who love Him.

Did not Jesus say to His disciples privately? "Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see; For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them."

Remember the leper in Mark chapter one? Jesus had been preaching in the synagogues throughout Galilee  at the time, casting out devils. And there in the midst came a leper to Him, beseeching Him, and kneeling down to Him , and saying unto Him, "If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean." Did Jesus turn away? Not a chance. There was Jesus - the  creator of the universe, the King who uses earth as His footstool - the King of kings and Lord of hosts - moved with compassion. Moved by compassion for the leper.

And what did Jesus do? He put forth His hand and He touched him. In that moment, the leper knew that Jesus was making him clean. The leper was cleansed once and for all. Why? Because He recognized that without Jesus, there was no hope. It is this same Saviour with the power to forgive sins who was also saying to the sick, "Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house."

This is the God that we have faith in - the God who loves us so much that He would become flesh and have His humanity die on the cross for us. His name is Jesus. Everything that He has promised, He will do for you.

"What things so ye desire when ye pray, believe that ye receive them and ye shall have them." This is the Jesus we serve. How could we ever doubt a God whose hands hold the universe? Why would we ever question Jesus plan for our lives?  Because the reality is that there is no place where we can go that He - Jesus the Christ - would not already know the things that trouble us. The desires of our hearts. It is this Jesus in whom I trust. It is this Jesus who is faithful.

Our Redeemer who proclaims, "I am the first, and I am the last, and beside me there is no God ... Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have I not told thee from that time, and have declared it? Ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God - I know not any." Therefore, take up your cross and follow Jesus. Stand in the offering plate!
