Have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? Part 535

Jesus wept. The same Jesus who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, and crowned with glory and honour so that He -- by the grace of God -- should taste death for every man wept for you and I. (Hebrews 2:9) So that we might know His abundance. His love for you and I.

Indeed, freely He shed His precious blood so that we might be saved. Not by works of righteousness which we have done but according to His mercy He saved us -- by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost which He shed abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour, that being justified by His grace, "we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life." (Titus 3:5-7)

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves. It is the gift of God." (Ephesians 2:8-9) Not of works lest any man boast.

For we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus. "It is He who is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; having abolished in His flesh the enemy, even the law of commandments, contained in the ordinances, for to make in Himself of twain one new man, so making peace. That He might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enemy thereby.

For through Him, we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners but fellow citizens with the saints and of the household of God. And are built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone, in whom all the building fitly framed together grows unto an holy temple in the Lord in whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit."

In other words, our salvation was already purchased by the blood of Jesus. It is finished. Trust Jesus today. Stand in the offering plate.
