Every Knee Will Bow and Confess Jesus Is Lord - PART 197

Go ye into all the world and preach this gospel. This is the command given by JESUS, who is Lord over all. As we know from the scriptures, this command was explicitly directed at His apostles of whom Jesus had said were to become His witnesses unto the uttermost parts of the earth.

Yes indeed, the Apostles are to this day His witnesses. The very Bible that you embrace is verifiable proof that the Lord meant what He said and said what He meant. In fact, the Lord Jesus was working with the apostles, confirming their words and effectively announcing by signs and wonders the infallibility of their word! Further, the scriptures state that if God confirms their word, then no man can disannul what is written.

This might explain why Jesus commanded the Apostles to abide at Jerusalem until they were endued with power (speaking of His promised gift of His Holy Spirit) after which they then were to be His witnesses -- initially starting their witnessing at Jerusalem. Remember that the first 3000 believers were numbered with them resulting from their address to an audience on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2). These 3000 believers were baptized into the name of Jesus. Why were these 3,000 believers baptized into the Name of the Lord Jesus?

Because in Jesus did dwell all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. That’s right -- all the fullness of the Godhead. Jesus is God Himself manifest in the flesh as a Son. Jesus was not then nor now another person. Jesus was/is God manifest in the flesh. God is One Spirit in the man Jesus the Christ. Therefore, all power in Heaven and on Earth is His.

This means then that every demon in earth is subject to the authority of the name of Jesus. In fact, every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Is Lord! Jesus is the very God that made the world, and without Him there is nothing made. Jesus is before all things!

When we are baptized, we are baptized (buried with Jesus). You do not take someone to the cemetery and sprinkle some earth upon the dead. No we bury them. We know the name of the individual we are burying and we make mention of that name. So it is with baptism. You are being buried into the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus!

Further on this point, particularly to churches that do not adhere to Acts 2:38, Matthew 28 verse 19 was falsified by the church fathers in Rome who were so seated in their asserted authority that many today mistakenly follow the error propagated as Christian truth. But their error is far from Christian truth. Unfortunately, most reformed or evangelical churches adopted this erroneous falsification. What a travesty!

Matthew 28:19 ought not to be rendered Father, Son and Holy Spirit but rather in the Name of Jesus. For father, son and spirit are descriptive titles. The Name of Jesus is above every other name in heaven and on on earth! In Luke 24, we are informed that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name (JESUS) beginning at Jerusalem! The good news is that as a consequence, we are planted together in the likeness of His death. Indeed, we are buried with Jesus!

Praise Jesus today. Stand in the offering plate.
