Jesus Said, "If Ye Had Known Me, Ye Should Have Known My Father Also ..." - Part 1755

"In the beginning, God ..." (Genesis 1:1) "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in darkness and the darkness comprehended it not ... " (John 1:1-5)

This same God who created man and woman in the beginning, and commanded the Light to shine out of darkness then, now shines in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. (II Corinthians 4:6)

What is that knowledge? The mystery that was held in the bosom of the Father from the foundation of the earth."To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the Word of reconciliation." (II Corinthians 5:19)

This explains why Jesus could say -- "Follow Me!" This is the reason that Jesus could say -- "I am the bread of life."

And likewise, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no man comes unto the Father but by Me. If ye had known Me, ye should have known My Father also, and from henceforth, ye know Him and have seen Him. Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive because it sees Him not, neither knows Him, but ye know Him -- for He dwells with you, and shall be in you. At that day, ye shall know that I am in My Father, and ye in Me and I in you." (John 14:6-20)

In fact, Jesus clearly said, "I and My Father are One!"

But it was only after Jesus was taken up, when He THROUGH the Holy Ghost gave commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen -- that they/we began to understand that Jesus was both Lord and Christ. (Acts 1:2; Acts 2:36) The Comforter. The Spirit of Truth. The Holy Ghost wherein we receive both the Father and the Son. (II John 1:9)  God manifest in the flesh. (I Timothy 3:16) He was in the world and the world was made by Him and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own and His own received Him not. (John 1:10-11)

His Name is Jesus, in this current dispensation of grace. The only Name whereby we must be saved. The Name above every other name. (Acts 4:12; Philippians 2:9)

Thus, as it is written, "The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening Spirit. Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven." (I Corinthians 15:45-47)

To wit, God was in Christ -- the fullness of the Godhead dwelt bodily in Jesus. (Colossians 2:9)

And indeed, our salvation could not have been presented any other way. For He came unto His own and His own received Him not. Nevertheless, as many as did receive Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God -- to them who believe on His Name.

The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us (and we beheld His glory, the glory of the ONLY BEGOTTEN of the Father, full of grace and truth. John the baptizer bore witness of Him, and is who John said, "He that comes after me is preferred before me; for He was before me." (John 1:1-18)

And He willingly brought us salvation, having taken on a sin prone fleshly body (yet without sin) so that He could become the perfect sacrifice, the mediator of the new testament, the Head of the body of Christ church, who is, and was, and is to come -- the Almighty. (Hebrews 9:15-18)

"For since by a man came death, by a man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, after that those who are Christ's at His coming ..." (I Corinthians 15:21-23)

"So then as through one transgression there resulted condemnation to all men, even so through one act of righteousness there resulted justification of life to all men. For as through the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous." (Romans 5:18-19)

It was His sacrifice and shedding of precious holy blood that our redemption can be found in the Lord Jesus -- for He shall save His people from their sins. (Matthew 1:21-23) And Jesus told the people who followed Him,  "I am the Light of the world. He that follows Me shall not walk in darkness but shall have the light of life!" (John 8:12)

If you do not yet understand the doctrine of Christ -- he that abides in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son -- the Holy Ghost, search the scriptures for truth, and ask the Lord Jesus to reveal Himself to you. (II John 1:9; I Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 42:13; Isaiah 9:6)

The voice that came from heaven always pointed to JESUS, saying, "Hear ye Him!" As a consequence then, of our desire in our hearts to hear His Word -- the words that Jesus spake and commanded whilst on this earth, we can enter into His kingdom. In this context, we can come into the presence of the Lord all the time, even whilst we are still living in this world. The peace of our Lord God and Saviour Jesus the Christ dwelling within, and leading us into the knowledge of His goodness and grace and mercy.

Perhaps, this is why the scripture encourages to pray without ceasing and rejoice evermore. But there is so much more to embrace when it comes to the kindness and love of our Lord God and Saviour Jesus the Christ. That is, His instruction and guidance and leadership that will lead us into all truth. Knowing that He can and will open the doors of heaven and pour out the many blessings from heaven if we remain faithful in His Word.

And remain steadfast in the apostles' doctrine. (Acts 2:1-47) Stand in the offering plate.
