And Ye Shall Eat In Plenty And Be Satisfied, And Praise The Name Of the Lord Your God, That Hath Dealt Wondrously With You - Part 1753

"Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power, for Thou hast created all things, and for Thy pleasure they are and were created." (Revelation 4:11)

"Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing." (Revelation 5:12)

"He was in the world and the world was made by Him and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own and His own received Him not ..." (John 1:10-11)

What we are witnessing herein is a pattern of praise for our Lord God and Saviour Jesus the Christ that should be evident in everything that we do. Indeed, the scripture declares that "whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all [every thing that we do] in the Name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him ..." (Colossians 3:17)

Giving thanks to the Father by Him -- Jesus the Christ! For whosoever transgresses and abides not in the doctrine of Christ hath not God .. he that abides in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son -- the Holy Ghost! But I digress somewhat.

We see a similar example among the disciples before Jesus ascended. wherein after that He THROUGH the Holy Ghost gave commandments unto the apostles whom He had chosen. (Acts 1:2-3) For instance, when the disciples worshiped Jesus in the mountain, where He had appointed them, Jesus informed them that "All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth ..." (Matthew 28:18)

Daniel prophesied of this when he saw in the night visions, "one like the Son of man" who was given Him "dominion and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve Him; His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom that which shall not be destroyed." (Daniel 7:13-14)

While the scripture declares that "all people walk everyone in the name of his or her god" we as believers in Jesus by faith "walk in the Name of the Lord our God for ever and ever." (Micah 4:5) In other words, we known in whom we serve. We are aware from whence comes our salvation. And we are so thankful that He willingly paid the price for you and I, once and for all.

Right from the beginning, John the baptizer (filled with the Holy Ghost from birth) knew that "He that cometh from above is above all ... He that cometh from heaven is above all." (John 3:31)

We see this understanding of Jesus further explained when there arose a question between some of John's disciples and the Jews about purifying. [As an aside, John always pointed to the One who would come after him, of whom he was not even worthy to latch His shoes -- Jesus!] Nevertheless, John told the Jews when these asked that he was not the Christ.

He also said to them, "he that hath the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom which stands and hears Him rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom's voice; this my joy therefore is fulfilled. He must increase, but I must decrease." (John 3:25-30)

Yes, John was pointing to the One and Same bridegroom who this very day is inviting us to the most elaborate wedding feast ever. The Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the ending. The King of kings and Lord of lords. His Name in this current dispensation of grace is JESUS -- for He shall save His people from their sins. (Matthew 1:21-23; Revelation 1:8, 11; Revelation 22:13)

And the Spirit -- the Holy Ghost -- the Spirit of Jesus regenerated is saying, "Come!"

Come to Jesus, all ye who are weary and heavy laden and He will give you rest.  Come to Jesus all ye who the world has beaten up and spewed aside, because only He has the words of eternal life. Come to Jesus, tasting and seeing that the Lord is so good.

"Let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will let him take the water of life freely!" (Revelation 22:17)

Why Jesus? Because as the voice from heaven repeatedly said, we are to "hear ye Him!" The Son of man who is indeed the Lord of glory. God manifest in the flesh. (I Timothy 3:16) Our Lord God and Saviour, who after His kindness and love, paid for our sin the ultimate price with His own precious blood. (Titus 3:4-7; Isaiah 9:6)

"And for this cause, He is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance ..." (Hebrews 9:15-18)

Moreso, "for He whom God hath sent speaks the words of God; for God gives not the Spirit by measure unto Him. The Father loves the Son, and  hath given ALL things into His hand: he that believes on the Son hath everlasting life; and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides on him." (John 3:34-36)

The fullness of the Godhead dwelling bodily in Him. (Colossians 2:9)

Thus, "he that receives His testimony hath set to his seal that God is true." (John 3:33)

This explains why "he that believes on the Son of God hath the witness in Himself; he that believes not God hath made Him a liar because he believes not the record that God gave His Son. And this is the record-- that God hath given to us eternal life, and THIS LIFE IS IN HIS SON ... he that hath the Son hath life and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that BELIEVE ON THE NAME OF THE SON OF GOD: that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that YE MAY BELIEVE ON THE NAME OF THE SON OF GOD." (I John 5:10-13)

The Name of the LORD JESUS the Christ "which is, and which was, and which is to come -- The Almighty." (Revelation 1:8, 11)

"To Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever ... behold, He cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen." (Revelation 1:6-7)

But it is not too late to ask Jesus to become both Lord and Christ in your life. (Acts 2:36) It is not too late to repent of your sins against God, and in answer of a good conscience toward God, be water baptized [buried - not sprinkled] in the precious Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and to receive His Spirit -- the Spirit of our Lord God and Saviour Jesus -- the Holy Ghost in your heart. (Acts 2:38; Acts 10:44-48; Romans 6:3-4; I Peter 3:20-21)

Why is this important?

So that "the God of our Lord Jesus Christ,  the Father of glory, may give unto you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened, that ye may know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of His mighty power -- which He wrought [seated] in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and set [Him] at His own right hand in the heavenly [places]. Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come, and hath put ALL [things] under HIS feet, and gave Him [to be] the Head over ALL [things] to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him that fitteth all in all." (Ephesians 1:17-23)

From beginning to end, the volume of the book is written of Jesus! But in the new testament -- these last days --  this same God who created man and woman in the beginning, and commanded the Light to shine out of darkness, "hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God IN THE FACE OF JESUS CHRIST." (II Corinthians 4:6)

But we need to seek Him with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, so that we too understand the mystery which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God who created all things by Jesus Christ ... "according to the eternal purpose which He purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Ephesians 3:9-11)

From Revelation --  "from Jesus Christ who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the Prince of the kings of the earth -- unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and hath made us kings and priests unto God and His Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. Behold, He comes with clouds, and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen." (Revelation 1:5-7)

For those who still struggle understanding the Godhead/godliness, study I Timothy 3:16 in-depth. Know that the doctrine of Christ shows that the Holy Ghost is the Spirit of Jesus regenerated, wherein, we have both the Father and the Son. (Acts 1:2-3; II John 1:9)

Let those with ears to hear, hear. Stand in the offering plate.
