Hereby Ye Shall Know That The Living God Is Among You - Part 1746

"Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus; who being in the form of God thought it not robbery to be equal with God but made Himself of no reputation and took upon Him the form of a servant and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death -- even the death of the cross." (Philippians 2:5-8)

In other words, if there is to be fellowship of the Holy Ghost in our midst, we need to first understand Christ Jesus, and how His precious Name is not only ABOVE every other Name given, but is also, in this current dispensation of grace, the ONLY NAME whereby we must be saved. (Philippians 2:9; Acts 4:12) And ye shall call His Name JESUS, for He shall save His people from their sins. (Matthew 1:21-23; Luke 1:35)

Indeed, Jesus invites us to "take My yoke" and "learn of Me" ... for "My yoke is easy and My burden is light." (Matthew 11:28-30)

But as we saw in that day,  when Jesus had walked the earth, the Jews had already "agreed" that if any man came to them and did confess that He was the Christ, they would be put out of the synagogue. (John 9:22) This mindset which rejects the Lord Jesus as the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the ending is still evident today. Thus, it is for this reason, that the question -- who is JESUS? -- is worthy of discussion.

It is similarly critical to understand how the same Lord God who created us in the beginning historically used different names to reach those He loved. In this current dispensation of grace, His Name is JESUS! He is both Lord and Christ. (Acts 2:36)

In the beginning, God! (Genesis 1:1) This is emphasized again in John 1:1-18, wherein the Word which was with God and WAS God was made flesh and dwelt among us. "He was in the world and the world was made by Him and the world knew Him not ...."

To Abram (Abraham) the Lord appeared, and said unto him, "I am the Almighty God, walk before Me and be thou perfect. And I will make My covenant between Me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly ..." (Genesis 17:1) In Revelation 1:8, Jesus states, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, "which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty."

The "I am" which is God in the old testament is the same Jesus who said in the new -- "Verily, verily, I say unto you -- Before Abraham was, I am." (Exodus 3:14; John 8:58)

In reference to being the The Lord of Lords is God in the old and Jesus identified as Lord of Lords in the new testament. (Deuteronomy 10:17; Revelation 19:16)

Who is the Rock? The same God who the psalmist identifies as God in the old is Jesus in the new. Not two rocks but the one and only Rock (Psalms 18:31; I Corinthians 10:4)

Jesus said, "Therefore whosoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that hears these sayings of Mine, and does them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it." (Matthew 7:24-27)

We know also from the psalmist that God shall reign forever. (Psalms 146:10) In the new testament, we understand that Jesus will reign forever. (Luke 1:33)

Who is our Shepherd? Again, David points to God as our Shepherd. In the new testament, we learn that our Shepherd has a Name -- JESUS. (Isaiah 40:11; John 10:16) Likewise, Jesus is our Redeemer in both the old and the new. (Isaiah 41:14; Luke 1:68) After the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared ... (Titus 3:4-7; Isaiah 43:10-11; Luke 2:11)

Jesus identifies Himself as He. For example, in John 8:24, Jesus said, "I am He!" Isaiah referred to God in the context of "I am He!" The Holy One is God. The same Holy One which the apostles called JESUS. (Isaiah 43:15; Acts 3:14) The King of Israel. (Isaiah 43:15; Matthew 27:37)

One Saviour. God became our Saviour. In this current dispensation of grace, Jesus is His Name. (Isaiah 45:21; Acts 4:12) And just in case there is any doubt about the identity of our Saviour, we need to understand that there is only One God who became our Saviour. Again, in these last times, Jesus is our Saviour's name. (Isaiah 43:10-11; Titus 1:4; I Timothy 3:16)

One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism. One God and Father of all ... (Ephesians 4:5-6)

The first and the last. (Isaiah 44:6; Revelation 1:8; Revelation 22:13)

The King of Israel. (Isaiah 44:6; John 1:49)

One husband to which the bride of Christ (you and I) have been invited to the most elaborate wedding feast ever. (Jeremiah 31:32; II Corinthians 11:2)

To this same God will every knee bow. (Isaiah 45:23; Philippians 2:10-11)

His feet were pierced. (Psalm 22:16; Zechariah 12:10; John 19:34)

And because of His sacrifice on the cross, He is our Master. The Master is God. Jesus is His Name. (Malachi 1:6; Matthew 23:8)

We refer to God as our Father. So did Jesus say, "I and My Father are One!" (Malachi 2:10; John 10:30; John 14:6-12)

Never do the scriptures proclaim God the Son and/or God the Holy Spirit. Never! Not once. And neither is God referred to as Father God or Daddy God. Always, always, always is the Lord God Almighty referred to as One God and Father (Ephesians 4:6) One Father, God (John 8:41) One God, the Father (1 Corinthians 8:6) In fact, the term "God the Father" appears twelve times in the New Testament. Jesus told us that the Father is the only true God. (John 17:3)

Jesus did not say -- "And this is eternal life that they may know [us] the only true God, Father, Son and Holy Ghost." (John 17:3)

Other scriptures to consider? Matthew 11:29; II Corinthians 4:4; Psalm 22:6; Isaiah 42:1; John 1:10-11-14; Matthew 26:39; Hebrews 5:8; Hebrews 2:9; Psalm 68:18; Psalm 110:1; Isaiah 52:13; Acts 2:33-47; Isaiah 9:6; Luke 1:32-35; Ephesians 1:21; Isaiah 45:23; John 13:13; Romans 10:9; and Romans 14:9.

Therefore, don't be misled by the false religious trinity/triune/triad doctrine of this day. There is only One God, and in this current dispensation of grace -- the time in which we live -- His Name is JESUS, for He alone shall save His people from their sins.

The greatest love story ever told!
