But Speak The Things Which Become Sound Doctrine -- Part 1745

"The LORD will perfect [that which] concerns me: Thy mercy, O LORD, [endures] forever: forsake not the works of Thine own hands." (Psalms 138:8)

"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." (Romans 12:2)

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [His] purpose." (Romans 8:28)

You see, from the very beginning, the Lord has purposed His love for us in Himself. Therefore, as believers in Jesus the Christ by faith, we can be confident in knowing from whence comes our salvation. That is, "after the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared; not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost, which He shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour." (Titus 3:4-7)

In other words, we are saved by grace through faith and that not of ourselves, it is the gift of God. Not of works lest any man should boast, but rather we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:7-10)

How do we know? Because Jesus came to fulfill the Law. He paid the ultimate price for you and I.  It is for this cause that He is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. (Hebrews 9:15)

"For this is My covenant unto them when I shall take away their sins." (Romans 11:27)

Therefore, salvation is the gift of God, when we accept His perfect sacrifice on the cross. The purchase had to be made with blood. For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures made of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us. Nor yet that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters into the holy place every year with blood of others; for then must He often have suffered since the foundation of the world; but now once in the end of the world hath He appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation. (Hebrews 9:24-28)

We are living in the last times -- wherein the law was only a shadow of good things to come. Wherefore, when He comes into the world, He said, "Sacrifice and offering Thou wouldest not, but a body hast Thou prepared Me ..." (Hebrews 10:1-5)

We have so very much to be thankful for! Therefore, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before us endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:1-3)

His Name is JESUS in this current dispensation of grace. Stand in the offering plate.
