This Is My Blood Shed for You - Part 495

Because Jesus lives, I can face tomorrow. My hope is in Jesus. "You are my hiding place and my shield. I hope in your Word." (Psalms 119:114)  Indeed, with Jesus at the helm, our life is so much bigger, so much greater. The Bible says that if we will honour Him with our life, we will see Him do more for us than you can ask or even imagine. Ephesians 3:20 states: "Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us." This is the God we serve! Jesus - the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Reading I Peter continues on this perspective. It states: "According to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. To an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled, and that fadeth not away [but rather] reserved in Heaven for you. Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time .... That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ whom having not seen, you love; in whom, though now you see Him not, yet believe; you rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls."

Therefore, rejoice in the Lord always. Take refuge in the God who loved us so much that He would become as one of us so that we might have salvation. It is in Him that we have hope. Why? Because God knows best. God knows what is good for man inasmuch as He is the designer of man. Adam was perfect. Adam and God enjoyed fellowship right up to the time that Adam thought that he knew more than God. This is when Adam got his feet stuck in the mud. But God loved His creation. He made an escape plan.

This is my blood shed for you. This is my body given for you.

Yes, Jesus brought us out of bondage. He restores our souls. He leads us in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake -- Jesus! Lo, though we walk through the valley of death, we shall fear no evil for thou art with me. Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Jesus is the rewarder of those who diligently seek him. Call upon Jesus today. Stand in the offering plate and believe too that this is the day that the Lord has made.
