Love So Amazing, Love So Divine, Demands My Soul, My Life, My All! - Part 2315

"When I survey the wondrous cross on which the Prince of Glory died
My richest gain I count but loss and pour contempt on all my pride
Forbid it, Lord that I should boast. Save in the death of Christ my God!
All the vain things that charm me most. I sacrifice them to His blood
See from His head, His hands, His feet. Sorrow and love flow mingled down!
Did e'r such love and sorrow meet or thorns compose so rich a crown?
Were the whole realm of nature mine that were an offering far to small
Love so amazing, so divine, demands my soul, my life, my all! "

JESUS said that if He were to be lifted up, He would draw all men and women to Him. (John 12:32)

As the above chorus suggests, the redemption of all mankind is not dependant upon fallen man’s capability to redeem him or herself, although in their respective sin prone mind they might think they can. But man’s life is likened in the scriptures to a boat without a rudder. Adrift in an ocean, and totally at the mercy of the tides and wind -- which of themselves can be merciless! Maintaining a stiff upper lip, while noteworthy is in such cases similar to burying one's head in sand. The reality is that apart from the intervention of another, all things will inadvertently remain constant. But this is where the good news begins.

With God’s intervention there is hope eternal. How do we know? Because even the winds and the sea obey His voice!

"But the men marvelled, saying, "What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him." (Matthew 8:27)

And He said unto them, "Where is your faith?" And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, "What manner of man is this? for He commands even the winds and water, and they obey Him." (Luke 8:25)
Continuing then, the question is this. How can one believe in God if they have not heard of God's goodness and grace and mercy? His abundant love for His creation, that He Himself would enact a plan of salvation so encompassing and so inclusive that each and every one of us would have an opportunity to return in our hearts to our beloved Creator. So that we could become all that we were intended to be -- within His family.

Repeatedly, the Lord points to His wondrous works, His creation, His healing hands upon our bodies, His wisdom and knowledge instilled within that we humans have not been able to duplicate -- as evidence that there is a God, so that we are without excuse.

But He did not stop there. From the very beginning, the Lord God had a plan for His beloved people -- those who would willingly stand in the windy place declaring His love and peace and joy -- to those who are without, and are not knowledgeable of His love for them.

As we see from the scriptures, the men marvelled when Jesus commanded the winds and the sea to obey Him. Indeed, these asked, "What manner of man is this?" Note that we are not guiding you to the various man-made religions -- with their pompous ceremonies and idol worship, wherein erected buildings are filled with vain imaginations, relics and images of dead lifeless things, but rather, leading you to ask too -- "What manner of man is this?" -- that He would shed His precious holy blood so that you and I might find life in Him. (Acts 20:28; I Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6; Matthew 1:21-23)

Indeed, the Great Shepherd who willingly laid down His life on a cross for you and I is calling you into His fold this day. The same Great Shepherd who is now searching the earth to and fro for those perfect hearts to be found in Him -- who know without question that there is only One God who loves us as He does. And that this same God does not live in buildings made with man's hands.

The One Spirit who revealed His pure spiritual humanity in the face of the man JESUS. This same Jesus who is the Lord Himself declared that all of these efforts to build buildings and religious institutions are nothing more than sinking sand. When JESUS speaks, it is His holy Spirit good news gospel message being spoken through the vocal cords of the man JESUS. How do we know? Because the scripture tells us that JESUS is the Word -- this same Word made flesh, who dwelt among us so that we would behold His glory. (John 1:1-18; John 1:10-11, 14)

In Him the fullness of the Godhead dwelt bodily. (Colossians 2:9)

Yes, "love so amazing, so divine, demands my soul, my life, my all! " If you have not accepted Jesus as both Lord and Christ in your heart, I encourage you to do so today. Take hold of the love that He intended for you from the beginning. Ask Him to fulfill His purpose in your life today. Find a New Testament and discover how God became your Saviour, so that your heart can be one again with your Creator. In this current dispensation of grace. Jesus is His Name.

From Whence Comes Your Hope? - Part 2314

The Lord is my Rock, and my Fortress, and my Deliverer, my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.” (Psalms 18:2)

“There is none holy as the Lord; for there is none beside Thee; neither is there any rock like our God.” (I Samuel 2:2)

“The Lord is my Rock, and my Fortress, and my Deliverer …” (II Samuel 22:2)

It is no wonder Jesus the Christ referred to Himself as The Rock that followed the Israelites through the Red Sea — because in Him, there is a grounding that cannot be shaken. Indeed, as the scripture saith, we who believe are un-moveable, unshakeable, because we know in whom we serve. We know that the Lord who is God is the Author and Finisher of our faith.

As David the psalmist points out, “For who is God save the Lord? or who is a Rock save our God?” (Psalms 18:31)

And because He lives, we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. (Philippians 4:13) That we who believe can be known for singing His praises; for possessing a song in our heart, and willingly making a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation. It is for this reason that we exalt the God of our salvation in our comings and goings — because He is so very faithful to those whose hearts are perfect in Him.

But there are other reasons too — that are beyond the human reasonings and rationales of this world. That is, for in the time of trouble, He shall hide us in His pavilion; in the secret of His tabernacle, shall He hide us; He shall set us upon the Rock that never fails — and again, the Rock which is our Lord God and Saviour, Jesus the Christ. (Psalm 27:5)

“For Thou art my Rock and my Fortress; therefore, for Thy name’s sake, lead me and guide me.” (Psalms 31:3)

And although many of the psalms are interchangeable with Jesus’ journey on earth, we know that because of His redemption plan for His beloved chosen people, He has brought us out of a horrible pit of sin and transgressions, out of the miry clay, and set our feet upon that Rock which is Jesus. In all things, He establishes our comings and goings. (Psalms 89:26; Psalms 40:2)

But sadly, what is happening in the world today is that hearts are becoming overwhelmed for many do not know the Rock that is our salvation; our defence; that shields and protect us — so that our faith is not jolted by worldly endeavours.

Jesus shares a parable comparing those who build their house upon the rock with those who build on the sand. That when the rain descends, and the winds beat ups that house, the house on the same falls — for it was not founded upon a rock. (Matthew 7:24-25) As we know, the same principles apply to our spiritual journey. If we are not attached to The Rock who willingly redeemed us with His precious holy blood on a cross, our houses will fall as well.

Thus, it is in this context that we who believe have hope in the God of our salvation and glory; the Rock; our Redeemer, our strength and refuge — in God our Saviour Jesus the Christ. If you do not know Him this day, I encourage you to take hold of His truths, knowing that He will never leave you nor forsake you. Ask Him to become the strong habitation in your heart, whereunto you and I can resort, knowing that there is only One Rock and Fortress. And knowing too that in the good times and bad, He will feed us with the finest of wheat, and with the honey out of the Rock shall we be satisfied. (Psalms 81:16)

Yes, His Name is JESUS, for He shall save His people from their sins. (Matthew 1:21-23)

His Name Shall Endure Forever; And Blessed Be His Glorious Name Forever, And Let The Whole Earth Be Filled With His Glory, Amen And Amen -- Part 2313

Jesus asked, "Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? Behold, My hands and My feet,, that it is I Myself handle Me, and see, for a Spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see Me have." And when He had thus spoken, He shewed them [His] hands and [His] feet. And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, He said unto them, "Have ye here any meat?" And they gave Him a piece of a broiled fish, and a honeycomb, and He took [it] and did eat before them.

And He said unto them, "These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning Me. Then opened He their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures. (Luke 24:36-45)

Jesus opened their understanding that they might understand the scriptures. Why? So that the law which was written in Moses and in the prophets, and in the psalms concerning Jesus would be fulfilled. Indeed, the scripture use the word must -- as in "must" be fulfilled. Here was the not yet ascended Jesus revealing to His disciples the revelation -- over a piece of broiled fish and honeycomb.

And then He gave them instruction -- that is, "Thus, it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day." Remember, these are the same words Jesus spoke unto them while He was yet with them, and when it came to pass, it was in order that all prophecies and what was written in the law of Moses, and in the psalms would be fulfilled.

From Psalms 118:22-24: "The stone [which] the builders refused is become the Head [stone] of the corner. This is the Lord's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes. This is the day [which] the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it."

And from Psalm 72:1-8 "Give the king thy judgments, O God, and Thy righteousness unto the King's son. He shall judge Thy people with righteousness, and Thy poor with judgment. The mountains shall bring peace, so the people, and the little hills -- by righteousness. He shall judge the poor of the people, He shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor. They shall fear Thee as long as the sun and moo endure; throughout all generations. He shall come down like the rain upon the mown grass; as showers that water in the earth. In His days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endures. He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth."

During this time, when the Lord our God became as a mighty man, He ushered in the New Testament. He fulfilled what He said would be done -- that the Lord would do a "new thing" when the "dayspring from on high would visit His people. This is the redemption plan that the world cannot shut down. This is the salvation that God personally delivered to His people when He took on the form of man. (I Timothy 3:16; Acts 20:28; Isaiah 9:6; Revelation 1:8)

And even though He was in the world and the world made by Him, He would know Him not. (John 1:10) The Word dwelling among us so that we would behold His glory, and yet, we deny that Jesus is who He said He was. Thus, the need for Him to open the disciples' understanding, that they too might understand the scriptures.

So again, what does the not yet ascended Jesus say to His disciples?

"Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer; and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins be preached in His Name beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things. And, behold, I send the promise of My Father upon you, but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued from on high." (Luke 24:45-49)

And as they went their way toward Jerusalem, Jesus led them out as far as Bethany, and lifted up His hands and blessed them. And it came to pass, while He blessed them, He was parted from them, and carried up into heaven. And they worshipped Him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy; and were continuing in the temple, praising and blessing God.

As we now know, we understand that the Name given by the angel of the Lord, who came proclaiming peace and goodwill to all -- was the Name of JESUS. How do we know? Because it is the Name of JESUS that causes offence-- wherein the apostles filled with the Holy Ghost were ordered not to preach.
Nevertheless, like the disciples at this point, we too are instructed to preach repentance and remission of sins in His Name among all nations. (Luke 24:47)

And when the apostles received the power from on high, in the upper room, what did they do? They preached that this same Jesus whom ye have crucified is BOTH LORD AND CHRIST. (Acts 2:36)

This is the statement wherein the first 3,000 souls saved in the New Testament church were pricked in their hearts, and asked Peter standing with the eleven -- "What must we do?' What did Peter say? "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the Name of the Lord Jesus for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." (Acts 2:36)

Scripturally, this is the same message the apostles delivered throughout the book of Acts. This message resulted in the apostles being jailed, beaten, stoned, whipped, persecuted, and more, but the good news gospel message was always JESUS. And the apostles were the witnesses of these things.

So, when Jesus ascended, He through the Holy Ghost gave commandments unto the apostles whom He had chosen. The promise of My Father -- Jesus said -- the same Holy Ghost that overshadowed Mary so that she could bring forth a child. Therefore, don't let those who promote a triad god lead you astray from the cherished Word of God --who became flesh and dwelt among us so that we can have everlasting life in Him.

"Hear ye Him" said the voice, and that voice is still speaking today. Yes, "Hear ye Him!"

For The Lord Gives Good Doctrine; Thus, Retain His Words; Keep His Commandments; And Live - Part 2312

"Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of My mouth. Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her. She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.

"Hear, O My son, and receive My sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many. I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths. When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou run, thou shalt not stumble. Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.

Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away. For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall. For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence. But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shines more and more unto the perfect day. The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.

As the scripture continues, "My son, attend to My words; incline thine ear unto My sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee. Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before Thee. Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil." (Proverbs 4:1-27)

So many kernels of wisdom wherein the Lord brings understanding, when we focus on His purposes. The best part for me is when the Lord instructs us to attend to His words and to incline our ear unto His sayings .. for they are life unto those that find them and health to all their flesh. Truly, we have so much to be very thankful for, and He, the Lord Jesus -- the Lord of glory, the Lord of hosts, our Heavenly Father -- the Comforter which is the Holy Ghost -- desires to lead and guide us into all truth.

Thus, embrace the doctrine that the Lord has given us, and retain His words, for He is faithful beyond measure to those who keep His Word/words in their heart. Stand in the offering plate.

But The Path Of The Just Is Like A Shining Light That Shines More And More Unto A Perfect Day - Part 2311

"And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all [men], especially unto them who are of the household of faith." (Galatians 6:9-10)

Throughout the scriptures, we are instructed to bear one another's burdens, for when we do, we fulfill the law of Christ. Moreover, every one is to prove his/her own work, and every man to bear his own burden -- considering thyself in the things that we do. (Galatians 6:1-2) As apostle Paul states, "Let him that is taught in the Word communicate unto him that teaches in all good things." (Galatians 5:7)

Both collectively and singularly, these are critical understandings for our faith to grow. Indeed, there is never a time when we are to remain stagnant in our life journey. Rather, we are to receive the Lord's sayings so that we can know who has taught us in the way of wisdom. And that we would know when the Lord leads us in right paths, and establishes our steps, we shall not stumble. (Proverbs 4:10-12)

Further, when we incline our hearts and ears to the Lord, we understand that we are now therefore no more strangers and foreigners, "but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God; and are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone; in whom all the building fitly framed together grows unto an holy temple in the Lord: in whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit." (Ephesians 2:19-22)

It is in this context that we are to help one another so that we can all press into the mark which is Christ Jesus. The first 3,000 souls saved on the day of Pentecost serves as an insightful starting point for learning how to support one another and sharing the burdens of those less fortunate. And in so doing, remember not to become weary in well-doing, for in due season, as the Lord hath stated, we shall reap.

Why? Because the Lord Jesus is so very faithful to those who love Him and adore Him with their very essence. He is our all in all, and yet was willing to become a sacrifice on an old rugged cross -- so that we who have fallen short of the glory of God could have abundant everlasting life in Him. It is for this reason that we know in whom we serve.

"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord." (I Corinthians 15:58)

May We Continue To Worship And Praise the King of kings And Lord of lords; His Name JESUS - Part 2310

Who is My mother and My brethren?

This is the question that Jesus asked, according to the scriptures. Jesus asked those who had informed Him that His mother and His brethren were outside desiring to speak with Him. It was then that Jesus asked the question of the crowd. “Who is My mother and My brethren?" Imagine such a question being asked of the audience. Indeed, as a reader, a question like this sounds baffling to the audience, inasmuch, as they understood His mother and His brethren were standing outside.

Before we discuss the response, let's work through the scriptural references first.

We have said so often that Jesus is the Seed of the holy Ghost. The only Begotten Son of God and yet Jesus was not begat. The Spirit of the Holy One God, planted the promised Seed firstly into the Seed bank of Eve (who is the mother of all living) and then later the Spirit of the Holy One. God planted a promised seed into Abraham's seed bank, declaring to Abraham that this seed now implanted into his seed bank would be the seed that all nations of the earth would be blessed. Therefore, Abraham because of this Seed which is the Seed of the Holy Ghost, will become a father of many nations.

God, who is Spirit fathered the child of promise, who is the Seed of the Holy Ghost and who bears the Name JESUS, which is the name of God Himself our Saviour. Jesus came forth from a surrogate mother Mary. Jesus, being born of Mary was conceived within her by the workings of the Holy Ghost whilst she was a virgin. Jesus being her firstborn. Admittedly, Mary had other sons to Joseph her espoused husband, but none of Mary’s other children were related to Jesus in any fashion. The blood in Jesus' veins was the Life giving Blood of the Holy Ghost. Whereas, in Mary’s other offspring conceived through Joseph, the bloodline was of Adam.

It is for this reason that JESUS is the WORD of the Spirit of the One Holy God. One cannot separate God from His Own Word. The Words spoken by JESUS were the WORDS of the Spirit of the One Holy God, who as a result of the conception of Jesus, was now indwelling in that holy thing brought forth from Mary’ sin prone body. As a result of the Holy Ghost fetus being clothed in Mary's body, then that sin prone flesh, permitted Jesus to be tempted in all points even as we are!

Jesus therefore, was in the world but He was NOT of the world. He was God Himself, veiled in sinful flesh, or God manifest in the flesh. For one purpose was the Son of God manifest. That is, to destroy the works of the devil. The Spirit of the One Holy God named Jesus is going to sacrifice His veil of sin prone flesh. He never did sin simply because the One who indwelt Jesus, being the Spirit of the Holy One God is much greater than man's enemy satan.

Indeed, JESUS is a Priest forever after the Order of Melchisedec who is without father, without mother… and without descent, having neither beginning of days nor end of life! Our spiritual mother is the Word of God which is our bread of Life and milk of the word of truth whereby we grow in grace and knowledge of our great God Jesus.

May the SEED of the Holy Ghost, JESUS bless you, from the rising of the sun to the going down thereof -- 24/7. Peace to all in Jesus' Name! Stand in the offering pla

Your Faith Grows Exceedingly Knowing The Earnest Of Our Faith; Unto The Praise Of His Glory - Part 2309

"Who hath wrought and done [it], calling the generations from the beginning? I the Lord, the first, and with the last; I [AM] He." (Isaiah 41:4)

"For the grace of God that brings salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world, looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and Saviour Jesus the Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works ... these things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee." (Titus 2:11-15)

Indeed, Paul, Silvanus and Timotheus (in one accord) take this perspective further when writing to the church of the Thessalonians -- so that we do not lose sight of our election of God.

"We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention to you in our prayers; remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of God and our Father, knowing brethren beloved, your election of God." (I Thessalonians 1:1-4)

As we who believe in Jesus -- as both Lord and Christ -- grow in our faith, we are to become ensamples to others that believe. Without ceasing in our work of faith, and labour of love to others. In fact, we are to strive to reach His standard, becoming like the seven chosen to be table servants, men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom. (Acts 6:3-4) This means in our faith journey, we are to press in closer to the mark which is Christ Jesus, loving Him with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, and from His love intentionally loving and caring for one another. (Mark 12:29-31; Deuteronomy 6:4)

But in order of strive toward this higher calling, the eyes of our understanding has to be enlightened, wherein we too desire to give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the Word. (Acts 1:14; Acts 6:4) How does this happen? By knowing what is the hope of His calling! By understanding the greatness of His power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of His mighty power. By studying the scriptures for His truth, so that we are sanctified. (John 17:17) Yes, we need to be faithful in all things so "that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, [will] give unto [us] the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him." (Ephesians 1:17-19)

It is herein that our faith is often derailed, because instead of pressing into Jesus with our very being, our faith either becomes stagnant, or we are overtaken by the cares of this world. Sadly, we begin to lose sight of the One and Only Lord God and Saviour Jesus the Christ who willingly laid everything on the line for you and I, including shedding His own precious, holy blood so that we might have abundant and everlasting life in Him. But this needs to stop. We need to understand that the Lord Jesus has given each and every one of us a purpose -- as a chosen people, a royal generation, victorious in all things. He has set the table for the wedding feast -- that will signify the beginning of everlasting life -- when the Bridegroom brings to Himself the Bride of Christ -- His Church.

This is why today is the day of salvation! For the time has come (and now is) for the body of Christ church to rise up and take hold of the scriptures -- the infallible Word of God -- the One and Only blessed Potentate dwelling within our very essence. This is the time to enter into the one accord and labour of love that was evident on the day of Pentecost. (Acts 2:36-47)

And, to remember as well that "we are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith grows exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other abounds; so that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure: [which is] a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer: seeing [it is] a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; and to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of His power; when He shall come to be glorified in His saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of [this] calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of [His] goodness, and the work of faith with power: that the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ." (II Thessalonians 1:1-12)

Admire the Lord Jesus today, and let your testimony shine in your labour of love for one another. Stand in the offering plate.

Whither Thou Goest? Rejoice, Because Death Could Not Hold The King of kings and Lord of lords! - Part 2308

Jesus said, "These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended. They shall put you out of the synagogues; yea, the time comes, that whosoever kills you will think that he does God service. And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor Me. But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you. But now I go My way to Him that sent Me; and none of you asks Me, "Whither Thou goest?" But because I have said these things, sorrow hath filled your heart.

Nevertheless, I tell you the truth. It is expedient for you that I go away, for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send Him unto you. And when He is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment; of sin, because they believe not on Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father, and ye see Me no more. Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit, when He, the Spirit of truth is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself, but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak, and He will show you things to come. He shall glorify Me: for He shall receive of Mine and shall shew [it] unto you. All things that the Father hath are Mine: therefore, said I, that He shall take of Mine, and shall shew [it] unto you. A little while, and ye shall not see Me, and again, a little while, and ye shall see Me, because I go to the Father." (John 16:1-16)

Herein, the Jesus that walked this earth -- the Word made flesh -- is speaking specifically to His disciples. The moment of Jesus' betrayal by Judas Iscariot is close. Peter has asked Jesus, "Lord, whither goest Thou?" wondering why Peter could not follow Jesus now. (John 13:36-38)

Thomas asks Jesus a similar question -- "Lord we know not whither Thou goest; and how can we know the way?" (John 14:1-12)

And Judas too, (not Judas Iscariot) asks, "Lord, how is it that Thou wilt manifest Thyself unto us and not the world?" (John 14:22)

All good questions, particularly since Jesus is telling His disciples of things that would occur before they come to pass -- so they might believe "that I AM He!" (John 14:29; John 13:19; John 16:4) Note that Jesus is also speaking of going away and instructing His disciples to rejoice. Most of us can relate to how Jesus' disciples were feeling. Suddenly, their Lord and Master that they had followed for three years plus was sharing that He must go, in order for the Comforter (the Holy Ghost) to come.

"And when He is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment." (John 16:8)

Thankfully, we have the benefit of the scriptures which share that after His death on a cross, Jesus was buried in a tomb. But death could not hold the King of kings and Lord of lords. We understand too that the now risen Jesus made many appearances to His disciples so that an accurate record of a list of witnesses could not be contested. (I Corinthians 15:1-8) We learn also that this same Jesus who walked on earth now dwells within our hearts as the Comforter -- the Spirit of truth -- the Spirit of holies. And that in all things, this same Jesus -- who is now both Lord and Christ -- through the Holy Ghost gives instructions to the apostles whom He has chosen. (Acts 1:2-3; Acts 2:36)

Jumping back for a moment, note that Jesus goes on to share that their hearts should not be troubled. Why? Because an important transition was about to happen, and as we know from the day of Pentecost, this same Lord could not wait to come again and dwell within.

As Jesus said, "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee!"

Indeed, after Jesus ascended, the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, came to dwell within their hearts . (John 14:26; John 15:26; Acts 1:2-3)  How do we know? Because on the day of Pentecost, the first 3,000 who repented and were water baptized in the precious, holy Name of the Lord Jesus Christ received the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:36-41)

If you don't know Jesus as your Lord God and Saviour, ask Him into your heart this day. Find a believer who will water baptize you in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, as every single follower of Jesus was in the new testament side (after the cross) -- so that you too can be filled with the Holy Ghost -- the Spirit of Jesus dwelling within. And then find a King James version of the New Testament (preferably an authorized KJV -- if you can), pull out the coloured pencils and note paper and start studying the Word that gives life, wherein when ye taste, ye shall never thirst again.

Be comforted too knowing that the Lord of glory dwells in your heart and He has a life purpose for you. Stand in the offering plate.

And When He Is Come, He Will Reprove The World Of Sin, And Of Righteousness, And Of Judgment - Part 2307

I heard an interesting question today. That is, would Jesus want to attend our church gathering? Further, would Jesus deliberately avoid the Pharisees and go a different route to join our assembling of saints, as He did before speaking to the woman at Jacob's well? (John 4:1-38) Would He feel welcome in our midst, or sadly, be ashamed of the many traditions that we have inherited?

When asked this way, I have to admit the question not only resonates, but brings heart conviction knowing that we can do much better. Moving to the scriptures, apostle Paul begins to address this topic, wherein one says they are of Paul, and another of Apollos. In today's language, we would say that we are of this denomination or we belong to that denomination. To such a profession, the scripture would interject that you are yet carnal, and walk and talk as men -- apart from the Lord.

Indeed, the scriptures ask, "Is Christ divided?" Is Christ fractured? No sir. Christ is not fractured. Unfortunately, in most religious denominations, both historically and in the modern day culture, they present fragmented truths of the Word of God. We understand that historically the pagan Roman so-called church had the majority of people hypnotized by the seated power of demons, transforming themselves into messengers of light. During this time, the scriptures which were deemed the only true light had been extinguished and replaced by a demonic system of error.

John Wycliffe endeavoured to usher in the gospel requesting that the scriptures be hand written in the English language. Although we do not know the extent of his labours, we are informed in the translation of the King James Authorized version that much of the hand written translation of the 1200's was retained.

The main stream apparently attribute the reformation to a priest named Martin Luther. The first spark of the light of the gospel lighted on him. The verse that apparently was underlined to him being -- “for by grace are you saved through faith, not by works lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8) Salvation is the gift of God. These particular insights were sufficient to kindle the fire, and to bring on unprecedented persecution by the demonic seated religious system.

Nevertheless, the idea of salvation by grace created a wind that blew upon the small fire, soon to be fanned throughout Europe and the islands. Horrendous inhumane tortures were exacted on any person or persons that were adherents to the seed of the Word of God retained in the written Word. That fire of light set the demonic system reeling, administering to the roman system of error such a deathly blow.

As the Word of God reached the masses, many different sparks were ignited by the unveiling of truths upon parched hearts. So sprung up denominations with each denomination clinging onto that part of the Word which had now become music in the inner chambers of their collective hearts.

Still, Rome asserted that they were the vine and the denomination branches. But this assertion was incorrect because Jesus said He is the true vine, and the Father the husbandman. (John 15:1) And as we know, Rome was both then and to this very day a withered vine. Their only branches are dead shoots from a dead vine -- and we would recognize this, if we truly believe that the scriptures are God’s Word.

Yes, JESUS is the vine and we who abide in the vine Jesus willingly bring forth life. Those who do not bring forth the fruit of the Holy Ghost are cut off and thrown into the fire. This is why we are the Jesus people! Christ has died and risen for our sins so that we might have salvation. We do not follow a religious denomination. We are not swayed by the traditions of men that don't bring abundant life and rejoicing to the soul.

Instead, we adhere to the Written Word of God -- the Spirit of Holies within the Word inspiring believers to continue therein in the apostles' doctrine. (Acts 2:36-47) Abiding in this same Jesus who is the Author and Finisher of our salvation.

And, as He saith, "Come out from her My people, so ye do not suffer her plagues."

Remember, the Word of God is the sole Authority for scriptural teachings and doctrine. Peace be to all, who are continually and earnestly contending for the faith, that was delivered to us of the Lord! Stand in the offering plate.

Fear Not, For I Have Redeemed Thee, I Have Called Thee By Thy Name - Part 2306

For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, "Fear not; I will help thee." (Isaiah 41:13)

"Everyone that is called by My Name; for I have created him for My glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him ..." (Isaiah 43:7; Psalm 100:3)

The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, "Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore, with loving kindness have I drawn thee ..." (Jeremiah 31:3)

So many promises of the Lord thy God -- intended for those who love Him and choose His purpose in the day to day. Indeed, He has called us by our name. He has created us for His glory and honour, and when we praise Him with all our hearts, souls, minds and strength, He adorns us with His wisdom and knowledge. Thus, we have nothing to fear.

Still, there is much more. The Lord thy Redeemer who has formed us from the womb (through Isaiah) prophesied, saying, "I AM the Lord that makes all [things]; that stretches forth the heavens alone; that spreads abroad the earth by Myself. That frustrates the tokens of the liars, and makes diviners mad; that turns wise [men] backward, and makes their knowledge foolish; that confirms the Word of His servant and performs the counsel of His messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, "Thou shalt be inhabited and to the cities of Judah -- "Ye shall be built, and I will raise up the decayed places thereof." That saith to the deep, "Be dry and I will dry up thy rivers." (Isaiah 44:24-28)

But of Cyrus, the Lord saith, "he is My shepherd, and shall perform all My pleasure, even saying to Jerusalem, "Thou shalt be built and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid." (Isaiah 44:28)

"Thus saith the Lord to His anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him, and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut. I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron. And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel. (Isaiah 45:1-3; Psalm 73:23; Psalm 107:16; Isaiah 40:4; Isaiah 43:1; Jeremiah 50:37)

Just like Amos, who was a herdsman and a gather of sycamore fruit, the Lord took him as he followed the flock and said unto him, "Go, prophesy unto my people Israel." (Amos 7:14-15)

That good news gospel message has not changed since the beginning of time. The Lord is still saying to His anointed -- that He will give unto us the treasures of darkness and fill us with the hidden riches of secret places -- because we dwell on Him in the comings and goings -- the same He who knows us by our name -- the God of Israel.

His Name in this current dispensation of grace -- JESUS.
