"And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God. And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, "Fear God, and give glory to Him; for the hour of His judgment is come: and worship Him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters." (Revelation 14:5-7)
Such contrasting perspectives between these particular scriptures, but all written with the intent of making our understanding of the scriptures clearer. Written so that we would not be blinded to the spiritual, opening our eyes and hearts to the wisdom and knowledge of the Lord Jesus who shed His precious, holy blood on a cross so that we might find everlasting life in Him. Although there are those who still (and sadly!) believe that Jesus is still in the tomb, we who believe in Jesus as both Lord and Christ are assured that He was resurrected to whence He came. And also, that when we repent and are water baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus, we receive the Holy Ghost -- the Spirit of Jesus -- dwelling within.
Jesus said, "I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man comes to the Father but by Me!" Why? Because as the conversation continues, Jesus says that if ye (His disciples) have seen Me, ye have also seen the Father, and know Him. (John 14:6-12) In other places, Jesus informs us that He is the Bread of Life. And that He is the Light of this world. No other God but the One and Same God who from the very beginning knew that He would have to become our Saviour -- if we were to be redeemed. (I Timothy 3:16; Titus 2:13; Revelation 1:8)
This is why it is so important for us to study the scriptures and compare what we are hearing to the Word of God. Thus, when the psalmist refers to the importance of keeping His Word in our hearts, he is referring to the same Word that has been forever settled in heaven. (Psalm 119:89) It is in this context that meditating upon the Word and keeping Thy precepts -- becoming a companion of all them that fear Thee -- our Lord God and Saviour Jesus the Christ, who now as the Comforter -- the Holy Ghost dwells within. He will lead and guide us into all truth, as He did on the day of Pentecost when this same Jesus who said to His disciples, "I will never leave thee nor forsake thee" could no longer to wait to dwell within the hearts of those who believe. (Hebrews 13:5; Acts 2:36-47)
Read that latter part again -- "If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature under heaven ..."
This does not mean to align ourselves with modern day religious cultures that ask their congregations to parrot a men-authored apostles creed -- as if the creed would have some level of Biblical foundation -- sigh! Neither does it mean to become members of church organizations that decidedly honour the traditions of men over the Word of God. Indeed, we do not have to look far to witness how religious denominations (including some evangelicals) have joined forces (unifying together under a one world religion) preaching "another" gospel -- a gospel that the apostles never once preached -- and one that is contrary to the good news salvation message found in the New Testament.
Thus, if there was ever a time that we should "come out of her My people" so that we do not suffer her plagues, it is now. We need to stand firm on the foundation of Thy Word, and hide His precepts in our hearts and minds. As the psalmist repeatedly writes, "Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in Thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my Redeemer." (Psalm 19:14) "I will delight myself in Thy statutes: I will not forget Thy Word." (Psalm 119:11,16)
As a consequence, we too will become companions with those who keep Thy Word, knowing that the day of our hope and salvation drawers nigh. Like apostle Paul, we know the reproaches that came against Jesus when He dwelt among us, and against His apostles too, are going to come against us as well. Nevertheless, we who believe in the Lord Jesus by faith, and have had our robes washed clean have nothing to fear for our Lord God and Saviour is not just with us, but lives within, leading and guiding us into all truth.
As apostle Paul writes, "We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let every one of us please [his] neighbour for [his] good to edification. For even Christ pleased not Himself; but, as it is written, "The reproaches of them that reproached Thee fell on Me." For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be like-minded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: that ye may with One mind [and] One mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God." (Romans 15:1-7)
Don't be deceived by anyone who tells you that we worship a three-headed, triad, tried-une g/God because these have rejected the first and greatest commandment. That is, "Hear O Israel the Lord thy God is ONE LORD!" (Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 12:29-31) Further, these have rejected the foundational doctrine of Christ. (Hebrews 6:1-2; II John 1:9) Moreover, these will not water baptize you in the precious, holy Name of the Lord Jesus so that ye will receive the gift of the Holy Ghost -- as the first 3,000 souls saved on the day of Pentecost were -- when these new believers "gladly" received the Word. (Acts 2:36-41; Acts 2:1-47) Neither will you hear that we are to continue steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, breaking of bread and prayers -- as per Acts 2:42.
Of course, there is much more wherein the wolves in sheep's clothing have attempted to draw believers away from the truth. Nevertheless, while there is still time, study the Word of God, as it is written. To do so, you will have to find a translated New Testament because the rewritten/revised versions of late are changing the simplicity of the good news gospel message to conform with their false statements of faith.
And know that those how have eyes to see, and a heart to hear the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ will know and believe that there is no other God but Him.
"To whom He was not spoken of, they shall see: and they that have not heard shall understand." (Romans 15:19-21)
