Jesus said, "Ye have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in My name, He may give it you." (John 15:16)
Jesus said, "And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. "Verily, verily, I say unto you -- Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in My name, He will give it you." (John 16:23)
Jesus said, "At that day ye shall ask in My name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you ..." (John 16:26)
Jesus said, "Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God." (John 14:25)
In that day!
In that day we will understand that this same Jesus who we crucified is both Lord and Christ. In that day, we will understand that after Jesus is taken up, He [Jesus] through the Holy Ghost will give commandments unto the apostles whom He has chosen. It is herein -- in that day -- wherein the same Jesus who said, "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee" fills us with His Spirit -- the Holy Ghost -- when we repent and are water baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus. (Acts 2:36-41)
In other words, Jesus (who is God manifest in the flesh -- I Timothy 3:16), the Lord coming forth as a mighty man (Isaiah 42:13; Isaiah 9:6) never intended to live forever in a human body, but rather, from the very beginning (and before the foundation of the world was formed) decided to deliver unto us His unique plan of salvation -- so that we might experience His goodness and grace, and similarly, be filled with His joy.
But He gives us a choice. He does not railroad us into believing in His goodness and grace. His mercy for all the world to see. However, what He has done -- to wit, God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself -- is provided His beloved creation with a way to be reconciled with our Creator. (II Corinthians 5:19) A way to discover His kindness so that we can become all that He had intended for us to be. (Titus 3:4-7)
In this, we can either believe Jesus in our hearts and souls for who He said He was, as evidenced and declared by an incredible number of witnesses or sadly, choose not to believe. The first option offers life everlasting in Him -- abundant life and joy forevermore, but the second eternal damnation. I pray that you decide for our Lord God and Saviour Jesus the Christ, who gave His all so that He could become our all in all.

Jesus -- King of kings and Lord of lords, Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the ending. (Revelation 1:8)
But before we can become clothed in His righteousness, we need to repent and turn to Jesus as our Lord God and Saviour with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. (Mark 12:29-31) Then we are to be water baptized in the Name of Jesus for the remission of sins, and as an answer of a good conscience toward God. (Acts 2:36-41; I Peter 3:21-22; Acts 10:44-48)
As we learn from the scriptures, Peter (standing with the eleven in agreement) on the day of Pentecost decreed water baptism should be in the precious holy Name of Jesus. (Acts 2:38) Standing in full view and support of Peter was Matthew. (Acts 1:13) Thus, he ultimately helped baptize the first 3,000 souls saved -- in the name of the Lord Jesus. (Acts 2:40-41) Note that Paul also baptized in the name of Jesus. (Acts 19:5)
Indeed, the only way water baptism was ever performed in the New Testament side was speaking the name of Jesus. As we know, "there is none other name under heaven above, given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12) As well, Jesus is the Name given that is above every other name God used in the Old Testament side. How can I say this? Because when the dayspring from on high decided to visit His people, the angel of the Lord announced that His Name shall be JESUS, for He shall save His people from their sins. (Matthew 1:21-23)
God with us -- Emmanuel! It is for this reason that "I will declare Thy Name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee." (Hebrews 2:12)
Meditate upon these things this day! Stand in the offering plate.
