"We then, as workers together [with Him] beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain. (For He saith, "I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)" (II Corinthians 6:2)
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, "Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night." (Revelation 12:10)
"... but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." (Isaiah 40:31)
"Are there any among the vanities of the Gentiles that can cause rain? Or can the heavens give showers? [art] not thou He, O Lord our God? Therefore we will wait upon Thee: for thou hast made all these things." (Jeremiah 14:22)
It is for these reasons and more that we who believe in the Lord Jesus by faith, and go onto be water baptized in His Name -- the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ -- strive not to give offence in any thing but rather "in all [things] approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings; by pureness, by knowledge, by long suffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned, by the Word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, by honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true; as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed; as sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things." (II Corinthians 6:1-10)
Although there is so much to understand here, even within these few scriptures, I encourage you to meditate on these this day, for the Lord Jesus has a purpose for each and every one of us to fulfill. His love beyond measure, searching our hearts to see if we too will render our all in all for Him. In Him, we can become conquerors against the things of this world. How? Because He has renewed our minds and hearts, so that He receives all the praise and honour and glory that only the Lord of glory deserves.
If you have not, please ask Jesus to become both Lord and Christ in your heart and soul today, for His goodness and grace, His mercy and kindness toward His creation will never fail in this current dispensation of grace. Through it all, let Him be the strength of our salvation today and forevermore. Most of all, don't take your eyes off the Lord of glory who willingly shed His precious holy blood on a cross so that you and I could experience His abundant life within.
Today is the day to ask the Lord Jesus to establish our steps. To move us forward from our place of comfort and earthly desires to the heavenly, proclaiming His Name -- the Lord God of glory -- to all nations. Stand in the offering plate.
