In That Day, We Shall Know That This Jesus Whom Ye Have Crucified Is Both Lord And Christ - Part 2048

"And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and of supplications and they shall look upon Me whom they have pierced and they shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for Him, as one that is in bitterness for [his] firstborn ... In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness. And it shall come to pass in that day," saith the Lord of hosts." (Zechariah 12:10; Zechariah 13:1-2; Joel 2:28-29)

"Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which He hath purchased with His own blood." (Acts 20:28)

"How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?" (Hebrews 9:14)

Sadly, we have forgotten that the Lord God Himself purchased us with His own blood. That He, God Himself -- the same God who created this world in the beginning -- He came forth as a mighty man to save us from our sins. (Isaiah 42:13) That He was in the world and the world was made by Him and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own and His own received Him not. (John 1:10-11)

How do we know? Because "he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knows that he saith true, that ye might believe." (John 19:35)

But because we have allowed a modern day religious culture to reduce God's free gift of salvation to us (but extremely cost to Him) to a false trinity, a false triad god -- and not God Himself clothed in flesh as a Son, we have missed the very understanding that comes from knowing personally this same One God who was manifest in the flesh. (I Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6; Isaiah 42:13)

And now He is no longer with us, as Jesus said, but dwelling within -- the Spirit of grace and of supplications -- the Holy Ghost. The One and Same Comforter in which Jesus (after He was taken up, THROUGH the Holy Ghost giving commandments to the disciples whom He had chosen) dwells now within us. (Acts 1:2-3)

Think about the religious lies you have been told. Can a man well within another man? And yet that same Jesus who is both Lord and Christ who was with the disciples and told them He would dwell within their temples inhabits His people. God came to this world as a Son so that the devil would not know who He was, until that precious price for our sins was paid. Yet, who has fallen for the lie? Us, and we have done so even when the Word Himself saith the devil knows there is ONE GOD and shudders.

What have we done to the glorious gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ? We need to stop believing the lies that the religious culture propagates and understand that Jesus is the ONLY Way, the ONLY Truth, and the ONLY life, and that he who hath seen Jesus hath seen the Father. (John 14:6-12) And He -- Jesus -- is coming back very soon to rescue His people. Not as a man because again the scripture saith, we will be like Him.

" ... looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ!" (Titus 2:13)

"Behold, He cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending," saith the Lord, "which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty." (Revelation 1:7-8)

Then saith He [Jesus] to Thomas, "Reach hither thy finger, and behold My hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust [it into my] side: and be not faithless, but believing." And Thomas answered and said unto Him, " ... my Lord and my God." Jesus saith unto him, "Thomas, because thou hast seen Me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed." (John 20:27-29)

On that cross, when the earth shook and the sky was darkened was our Lord God and Saviour calling us unto Him -- before the Ghost was given up so that His fleshly body -- His humanity could die. We need to understand who we see when we look upon Him whom they pierced. We need to understand who wore that crown of thorns so that our hearts could find abundant life in His mercy and grace.

He did not send another to pay the price for our sins. Rather, He came Himself -- willingly -- a plan that He decided when the world was still without form! To wit, God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the Word of reconciliation. (II Corinthians 5:19) Why? "For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour!" (I Timothy 2:3)

"When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, He said, "It is finished!" and He bowed His head, and gave up the Ghost. The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.

Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with Him. But when they came to Jesus, and saw that He was dead already, they brake not His legs: but one of the soldiers with a spear pierced His side, and forthwith came there out blood and water. And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe. For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, "A bone of Him shall not be broken." And again another scripture saith, "They shall look on Him whom they pierced." (John 19:30-37)

And He said unto me, "It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely ... he that overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be My son." (Revelation 21:6-7)

"Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you." (Ezekiel 36:25)

Come out from among them, Jesus said, so that ye do not suffer her plagues. Before the cross, the disciples knew Jesus as the Christ, the Son of God. After the cross, these same disciples knew that this same Jesus is both Lord and Christ. Now that is love, that the Good Shepherd would lay down His life for His sheep, even whilst we were still His enemies. Make Him -- our Lord God and Saviour -- both Lord and Christ in your heart today!

"And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book: but these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through His Name." (John 20:30-31)
