Therefore Mine Own Arm Brought Salvation Unto Me, Saith the Lord - Part 1365

"And the year of My redeemed is come." (Isaiah 63:4)

"And I looked, and there was none to help, and I wondered that there was none to uphold; therefore Mine own arm brought salvation unto Me, and My fury, it upheld Me. And I will tread down the people in Mine anger, and make them drunk in My fury, and I will bring down their strength to the earth. I will mention of the loving kindnesses of the Lord, and the praises of the Lord, according to all that the Lord hath bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which He hath bestowed on them according to His mercies, and according to the multitude of His loving kindnesses. For He said, "Surely they are My people, children that will not lie; so He was their Saviour." (Isaiah 63:5-8)

These words were spoken by the Lord in a vision to Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.

"Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the Lord hath spoken. I have nourished and brought up children and they have rebelled against Me. The ox knows his owner, and the ass his master's crib; but Israel does not know, My people doth not consider. Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters; they have forsaken the Lord. They have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger. They are gone away backward ..." (Isaiah 1:1-4)

Even so, the King of kings and Lord of lords who loved His creation from the beginning did not want to see us lost. This is why -- even while we were His enemies -- the Lord God who made man from the dust of the earth (and woman from the man's rib) decided to offer the perfect sacrifice so that we could know His love and mercies personally. Thus, the Lord willingly became our Saviour.

"Therefore, Mine own right arm brought salvation!" (Isaiah 63:5)

And a child was born and unto us a son given, "and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace." (Isaiah 9:6)

He was in the world and the world was made by Him and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own and His own received Him not. (John 1:10-11)

God manifest in the flesh. (I Timothy 3:16)

The Lord Himself coming forth as a mighty man. (Isaiah 42:13)

"And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a branch shall grow out of his roots, and the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord, and shall make Him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: and He shall not judge after the sight of His eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of His ears; but with righteousness shall He judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth, and He shall smite the earth with the rod of His mouth and with the breath of His lips shall He slay the wicked.

And righteousness shall be the girdle of His loins, and faithfulness the girdle of His reins ... [and then] the wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall like down with the kid ... [because] the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea. And in that day, there shall be a root of Jesse (which shall stand for an ensign of the people) to it shall the Gentiles seek and His rest shall be glorious." (Isaiah 11:1-10)

But the Lord Himself was made flesh and dwelt among us (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth, and we nailed His humanity to a cross. We rejected the Lord of hosts, the precious cornerstone that brings life.

"To whom coming, as unto a living stone disallowed [or has been rejected] of men, but chosen of God and precious. Ye also as lively stones are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. Wherefore, also it is contained in the scripture: "BEHOLD, I LAY IN ZION A CHIEF CORNERSTONE, ELECT, PRECIOUS; AND HE THAT BELIEVES ON HIM SHALL NOT BE CONFOUNDED."

Unto you therefore, which believe He is precious; but unto them which be disobedient, "THE STONE WHICH THE BUILDERS DISALLOWED [REJECTED], THE SAME IS MADE THE HEAD OF THE CORNER, AND A STONE OF STUMBLING, AND A ROCK OF OFFENCE, even to them which stumble at the Word being disobedient, where unto also they were appointed.

But ye [those who believe on Jesus and are water baptized in His name] are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people, that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God; which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy." (I Peter 2:4-10)

Jesus is the Light of the world, which lights every man that comes into the world. (John 1:9)

His name is Jesus for He alone will save His people from their sins. (Matthew 1:21-23)

God Himself came forth as a mighty man to open the eyes of those who are blind, and to "turn them from darkness to the light, and from the power of the enemy unto God, that they might receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in Me." (Acts 26:18)

Let those with ears to hear, hear. Stand in the offering plate.
