Lo, This Is Our God. We Have Waited For Him And He Will Save Us -- This Is The Lord! - Part 1371

"O Lord, Thou art my God; I will exalt Thee, I will praise Thy name; for Thou hast done wonderful [things]; Thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth ... For Thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall ... He will swallow up death in victory." (Isaiah 25:1-8)

In this current dispensation of grace, Jesus is the Lord's name. (Acts 2:36) Indeed, our God became our Saviour on that cross, shedding His precious blood for our transgressions. (Titus 3:4-7) He hath given Himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour. (Ephesians 5:2) Jesus Christ -- the Word that was with God and was God -- made flesh. (John 1:1)

"He was in the world and the world was made by Him and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own and His own received Him not." (John 1:10-11)

But to those who choose life in Jesus, and become followers of Him as dear children, we are renewed in the spirit of our minds. "And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness, wherefore putting away lying, "Speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another." (Ephesians 4:23-25)

When we are water baptized in the precious name of Jesus, we put on His garment of righteousness. We receive the gift of the Holy Ghost who leads and guides us into all truth. He seals us unto the day of redemption so that we can walk in loves, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given Himself for us.

"For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him, wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do." (I Thessalonians 5:9-11)

Rejoice evermore.
Pray without ceasing.
In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Quench not the Spirit.
Despise not prophesyings.
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
Abstain from all appearance of evil.
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly, and [I pray God] your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

"Faithful is He that calls you who also will do it." (I Thessalonians 5:24)

May the Lord "count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness, and the work of faith with power, that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ. (II Thessalonians 1:11-12)

"For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him, for this we say unto you by the Word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep ... for the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God and the dead in Christ shall rise first, then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord." (I Thessalonians 4:14-17)

Exalt His precious name of Jesus today. That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in Him.

Stand in the offering plate.
