Stand in the Offering Plate - Part 569

"But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you." (Romans 8:11)

The blood that Jesus shed on the cross and His subsequent resurrection is the reason that there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. That we are saved by the precious blood that Jesus shed on the cross.

Paul in I Corinthians 15 declared that the gospel that he preached, and was received and wherein ye stand,  and have kept in memory how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures and that He was buried and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures. Peter and the apostles, preaching to the first 3,000 believers confirmed the same message in Acts 2, That is, Jesus was raised to life and they were witnesses of this fact. "For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive." (I Corinthians 15:22)

I Corinthians 15 further elaborates on this point. Beginning in verse 41, "There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon and another glory of the stars, for one star differeth from another star in glory. So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption. It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power.

It is sown a natural body; it is raised in a spiritual body. There is a natural body and there is a spiritual body. And so it is written, The first Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual but that which is natural and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man is of earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.

As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy; and as is he heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption."

And then Paul wrote, "Behold brethren, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep but we shall all be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye at the last trumpet, for the trumpet shall sound and the dead shall be raised incorruptible and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory."

Let those that have ears to hear, hear. Note also that the same God who restored Jesus to the throne wants to give you life also. When the first 3,000 in Acts 2 were pricked in their hearts, they asked Peter and the apostles, "What shall we do?"

Peter said, "Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, for the promise is unto you and to your children and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." Answer His call today. Stand in the offering plate.
