At the Name of Jesus, Every Knee Shall Bow - Part 567

In the scriptures, we are encouraged to shine in the world as lights for Jesus. Indeed, as the scriptures state,  "Fulfill ye my joy, that you be like minded, having the same love, being of one accord -- of one mind." Why? Because greater love hath no one than this -- that one lay down His life for His friends. (John 15:13)
So again under the new covenant -- the dispensation of grace that we live in today -- let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God. Indeed, He made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant and was made in the likeness of men. And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Wherefore God has highly exalted Him -- Jesus -- and given Him a name which is above every name in Heaven and in earth. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
This is why the apostles (and by extension you and I) should be thankful upon every remembrance, always in prayer making our requests with joy. Our fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this very thing, that He -- Jesus' holy spirit -- which has begun a good work in you and I will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
The scriptures further encourage us by stating, "That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God." Why? Because as we have alluded to in prior posts, living in His love is knowing Jesus.
Having this confidence, we know that we shall abide in His joy of faith. Therefore be partakers of His grace.  Rejoice in the abundance that can only be found in Jesus Christ -- today and every day going forward. Remember, Jesus is our hope and salvation and this promise is to you and your family and to all those who are afar off. Stand in the offering plate.
