Surely, They Are My People, Saith The Lord; Praise To His Blessed, Holy Name- Part 2349

"I will mention the loving kindnesses of the Lord, and the praises of the Lord, according to all that the Lord hath bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which He hath bestowed on them according to His mercies, and according to the multitude of His loving kindnesses.

For He said, "Surely they are My people, children that will not lie: so He was their Saviour. In all their affliction He was afflicted, and the angel of His presence saved them: in His love and in His pity He redeemed them; and He bare them, and carried them all the days of old.

But they rebelled, and vexed His holy Spirit: therefore He was turned to be their enemy, and He fought against them. Then He remembered the days of old, Moses, and His people, saying, "Where is He that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of His flock? Where is He that put His holy Spirit within him? that led them by the right hand of Moses with His glorious arm, dividing the water before them, to make Himself an everlasting Name? that led them through the deep, as an horse in the wilderness, that they should not stumble?" (Isaiah 63:7-13)

The Rock which followed them through the Red Sea -- the Rock which was Christ.

Apostle Paul confirms this, writing, "Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; and were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; and did all eat the same spiritual meat; and did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness." (I Corinthians 10:1-5)

In the New Testament, the mystery that was held in the bosom of the Father from the very beginning is revealed. That is, after the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared. (Titus 3:4-7) Or ,as John the baptizer more specifically points out, "Behold, the Lamb of God" ... who taketh away the sins of the world. (I Timothy 3:1; Isaiah 9:6)

He willingly came into this world for you and I, shedding His precious, holy blood so that we might have abundant life in Him. (Acts 20:28)

Yes, many a time, Isaiah prophesied of a specific time in the future when the Lord God would give His right hand, and the arm of His strength for our salvation. A time when the Lord God would announce -- "This day have I begotten Thee."  (Hebrews 1:5)

"I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, "Thou art My Son; this day have I begotten thee." (Psalm 2:7)
In this current dispensation of grace, we are privileged to know the rest of the greatest love story ever told. We should be ecstatic that the Lord had devised a plan of salvation, whereby we could engage in a personal relationship with Him. That we could be grounded in His wisdom and knowledge and our hearts at peace, overflowing with His joy within. And unlike the Israelites, every step we take in Him can be filled with purpose, knowing that the Lord Jesus will never leave us, nor forsake us.

"To wit, God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself!" (II Corinthians 5:!9)

The Word made flesh and dwelt among us. He was in the world and the world was made by Him and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own and His own received Him not. (John 1:10-11; John 1:1-18)

Yes, "the Lord hath sworn by His right hand, and by the arm of His strength -- surely I will no more give thy corn [to be] meat for thine enemies, and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured: but they that have gathered it shall eat it, and praise the Lord; and they that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of My holiness." (Isaiah 62:8-10)
