If any man has not the Spirit of Christ, they are not His, saith the scriptures. But if one confesses to be a believer, it begs the same question asked of believers in the New Testament. That is, "Have you received the Spirit of the Holy one?" This question was asked in Acts chapter 19, where the response from the people was that they had never so much as heard that there be any Holy Ghost. Does this sound familiar? Something like being asked to join a church and/or every other obstruction rather than having an opportunity to know the truth?
Unfortunately, scriptures that present the gospel message of the water, the blood, and the Spirit are no longer in fashion in main line churches. In many churches, hymnals that would dare mention the sacrificial offering for sin appear to be redundant, replaced with a do good or social order taking precedence. This may explain why the scriptures state that in the latter days, a time would come when men would no longer be capable of receiving sound truths. Still, the Word of God (forever settled in Heaven) is the same Word that God stands over performing today. Whatsoever He has prophetically revealed by His Spirit, is the same occurrences that are coming to pass now.
Still, at the end of life’s road is God. Death is inevitable. In this context, each and every one of us must appear before God’s white throne. This is not the time to argue about life accomplishments. Why? Because a science degree will not save you, although admittedly there are some scientists that have declared that science has not replaced God! Likewise, there are very few atheists in the front line during times of war. Indeed, in perilous times, the name of Jesus may be mentioned more then than in most churches today. I digress.
The good news is that Jesus is the SEED of the Holy Ghost. That Seed, which is the Word of God, searches for good ground to be planted in. This is why you are that earthly vessel into which the pure SEED of the Word of God desires to be planted. The Scripture declares that believers are the temple of God, and the Spirit of God dwells within! Of course, we are talking of those who have received the SEED of the Holy Spirit (the WORD) and that SEED in one’s heart prompts within a person a desire to become acquainted with the one whose SEED it is, hastening a person to receive the Baptism of the Spirit. See Acts chapter 4 for further details.
JESUS, who is the SEED of the Holy Spirit has SEEDED you with His WORD and in turn with His presence. Now the One God who was in the man JESUS indwells in you, which is declared as -- Christ now in you bringing to you the hope of glory. You are now born again of the water and of the Spirit! Indeed, now that you are a member of the body of Christ, you have become a living stone in the temple of God. His habitation wherein God in Christ is pleased to dwell in you!
