When We Seek The Lord, We Will Find Him, When We Search For Him With All Our Heart - Part 2288

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," saith the Lord, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon Me, and ye shall go and pray unto Me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search for Me with all your heart." (Jeremiah 29:11-13)

Jeremiah was a prophet, whose reputation as a prophet of the Lord was confirmed because he always spoke the words/Word of the Lord. Not his or her own opinion in some paraphrased form, wherein what results (sadly!) is a collection of man's wisdom and thoughts, and not that of the Lord God but he spoke what the Lord wanted to speak to the people.

That is, thoughts of peace and not of evil -- to give us an expected end! It is in this context that when we seek the Lord, we shall find Him -- when we search for Him with all our heart.

This is confirmed by the first commandment in both the old covenant and again when Jesus spoke to the scribe in the New Testament. That is, "Hear O Israel, the Lord thy God is One Lord ... and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might." (Deuteronomy 6:4-5; Mark 12:29-31)

In this current dispensation of grace, His Name is JESUS for He shall save His people from their sins. (Matthew 1:21-23; Isaiah 9:6)

He is God our Saviour, who down from His glory came to bring us abundant life in Him.

Stand in the offering plate.
