The Lord Jesus Is Still A Refuge For The Oppressed, A Refuge In Times Of Trouble. - Part 2030

Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No man comes unto the Father but by Me!" If you are burdened by the cares of this world this day, ask Jesus to become both Lord and Christ in your heart, God and Saviour in your very being. On the day of Pentecost, the first 3,000 souls saved asked Peter (standing with the apostles) what they should do to be saved.

That is, to repent and be water baptized in the precious Name of the Lord Jesus Christ so that you too can receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:36-38)

But don't stop there. Know that when you make a decision to serve the Lord Jesus with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, the enemy will come and try to distract you from spiritual things. It is for this reason that I encourage each and every one to study the New Testament scriptures, and let His Word -- the Word of the Lord God Almighty -- fill our hearts with joy. Let His love embrace you and teach you all things in the day to day.

When the disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray, He said, "Give us this day our daily bread!"

Therefore, just like we eat physically to sustain our bodies, we need to also be fed spiritually so that our souls can be sustained in those times of oppression when the enemy specifically comes seeking to destroy.  Nevertheless in Christ Jesus, we are over comers of this world. We are conquerors against the enemy plans because of His precious holy blood shed on the cross, and His resurrection and triumph, when He overcame death, and our willingness to believe that nothing will stand between our own hearts and the Lord Jesus Christ.

He is our mediator. But He is also the King of kings and Lord of lords, the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. His love for us displayed from the beginning of the world, even when we ourselves ask -- what is man that our Lord God and Saviour -- our Creator and Comforter and All in all would be so mindful of us. This is why we hazard our lives for the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ -- because whilst we were still His enemies, He willingly laid down His life for us.

Jesus -- the Great Shepherd who still to this day searches the world with His eyes for those hearts who willingly and diligently turn to Him. We can know His promises to be true.

Interestingly, the prophets of old said that in that day the Lord said He "will raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close the breaches thereof: and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old. That they may possess the remnant of Edom and of all the heathen, which are called by My Name," saith the Lord that doeth this." (Amos 9:11-12; Acts 15:16-18)

This is why we can wholly believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, we shall be saved, even as they. Jesus said, "I am the Bread of Life!" Gladly receive His Word today, in all readiness of mind, and search the scriptures daily, whether the things you are told are so. (Acts 17:11)
