His Banner Over Me Is Love ... Rejoice In My Salvation, Saith The Lord - Part 2029

"Thou hast given a banner to them that fear Thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah." (Psalms 60:4)

"He brought me to the banqueting house, and His banner over me was love." (Song of Solomon 2:4)

"We will rejoice in Thy salvation, and in the Name of our God we will set up (our banners:) the Lord fulfill all thy petitions." (Psalm 20:5)

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we who have come to know Jesus as both our Lord and Saviour will remember the Name of the Lord our God in everything we do. And while the kings of this earth joy in their own strength, the Lord is raising up a standard against the enemy -- and those who have (and are still) opposing the Lord of glory with him. Those whose fruit is only intent on destroying from the earth, and intending evil against Thee and those who believe.

But Jesus said He would not leave us comfortless, but that He would come to us, and dwell within, and lead us into all truth. It is for this reason that we who believe in our Lord God and Saviour declare Thy Name -- the precious holy Name of the Lord Jesus -- to one and all. This is why we fear our Lord, and praise Him with all thanksgiving and praise. Because we recognize that the kingdom is the Lord's and only He can make our hearts glad.

Yes, give ear to His words and hearken unto the voice of our King and our God, for unto Thee do we pray. For Thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness; neither shall evil dwell with Thee. The foolish shall not stand in Thy sight; Thou hates all workers of iniquity. Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing and falsehoods. (Psalm 5:1-6)

But as for me, and my household we will welcome in the multitude of Thy mercy, and in my fear will I continue to worship Thee. Lead us O Lord in Thy righteousness and let us rejoice, ever shouting for joy. For Thou Lord wilt and hast blessed the righteous; with favour wilt Thou compass us with your shield.

And we will do so because we understand only too well -- blessed are all they that put their trust in Him. He is the Rock of all ages.

Stand in the offering plate.
