These Sayings Are Faithful And True: And the Lord God Of The Holy Prophets Sent His Angel To Show Unto the Servants The Things Which Must Shortly Be Done - Part 1843

"Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." (Psalm 119:105)

John (who wrote the last book of the New Testament )-- the Book of Revelation, which is intended to reveal the goodness and mercy of our Lord God and Saviour Jesus the Christ to us, heard a great voice out of heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." And He that sat upon the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." And He said unto me, "Write: for these words are true and faithful."

Indeed, the scriptures that John is attesting to herein as "true and faithful" are forever established in heaven. And the scriptures speak of the Word -- the same Word that was in the beginning with God and was God. (John 1:1-2) The same God who was made flesh and dwelt among us so that we could and would behold His glory. (John 1:1-14; I Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6) The same Word who said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man comes to the Father but by Me!" (John 14:6)

When we hear the Word of the Lord because He has heard our voice, as the scriptures declare, we render our heart decision. In this context, as Jesus points out, one can't serve the Light, while still full of darkness. Either we will serve one master more, and the other less, or vice-versa. The bottom line being that no man can serve two masters.

Moreover, if you want to eat bread in the kingdom of heaven, you need to first come to the Bread of life. The living Word who was in the world and the world made by Him and yet the world knew Him not. (John 1:10-11) His Name is JESUS, for He shall save His people from their sins. (Matthew 1:18-23) And when we ask Jesus to come into our heart as our King, we soon realize too (as did the first 3,000 souls saved on the day of Pentecost) that He is both Lord and Christ. (Luke 14:15; Acts 2:36-38) The King of kings and Lord of lords. And yes, He is the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the ending. (Revelation 1:8)

Not two gods or three gods, or a triad as the religious falsely present, but rather, as the One and very Same God who robed Himself in flesh for you and I (yet without sin). And this God? He is the Lord, which hath showed us light. God is the Lord. (Genesis 118:27)

"Thou art my God and I will praise thee: Thou art my God, I will exalt Thee." (Psalm 118:27-28)

But sadly, in today's world, there are too many who don't want to submit to His Word, the promised Christ who ushered in for us a new testament, wherein His holy blood was willingly shed on the cross so that we could experience salvation in Him. (Hebrews 9:15-18) Neither do these hope in Thy Word,  or meditate on the Word as He instructs, or sought the Lord as their hiding place and shield. Nevertheless, as Jesus said, "he that hath received His testimony hath set to his seal that God is true." (John 3:33) And thus, we as believers in Jesus by faith will gladly rejoice at Thy Word, as one that finds great treasure. (Psalm 119:162)

In Acts 2, on the day of Pentecost, those who gladly received the Word repented and were baptized in the precious Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, so that these could receive the Holy Ghost in their heart. (Acts 2:36-47) Why? Because the Lord hath commanded us who desire in our hearts to love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and also, to keep Thy precepts diligently. (Psalm 119:4; Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 12:29-31)

Yes, "Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever, for they are the rejoicing of my heart." (Psalm 119:111; Philemon 1:6)

"I will praise Thee, for Thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation. The stone which the builders refused is become the head [stone] of the corner. This is the Lord's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes. This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice in it." (Psalms 118:21-24)

And thus, "for ever, O Lord, Thy Word is settled in heaven. Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: Thou hast established the earth, and it abides. They continue this day according to Thine ordinances: for all are Thy servants. Unless Thy law had been my delights, I should then have perished in mine affliction. I will never forget Thy precepts: for with them Thou hast quickened me. I am Thine, save me: for I have sought Thy precepts. The wicked have waited for me to destroy me: but I will consider [give attention to] Thy testimonies." (Psalm 119:89-96)

And He said unto me, writes John, "It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be My son." (Revelation 21:3-7; Revelation 1:8)

Why?

"For He hath put all things under His feet. But when He saith all things are put under [him], it is manifest that HE IS EXCEPTED, which did put all things under Him. And when all things shall be subdued unto Him, then shall the Son also Himself be subject unto Him that put all things under Him, that God may be all in all .... else what shall they do which are baptized, for the dead if the dead rise not at all? Why are they then baptized for the dead? And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?" (I Corinthians 15:26-29)

You see, the plan of salvation that was in the bosom of the Father from the beginning of the world was to find those hearts who desired to become the sons and daughters of the Most High. A mighty army within the world, pointing those who did not believe to the Light of the world. A chosen people willing to give Him their all in all.

It is for this reason the right hand of the Lord is exalted, the right hand of the Lord doth valiantly. (Psalm 118:16)

And likewise, because of that right hand of the Lord -- Jesus -- we as believers can be assured that this same Lord is our strength and song, and is become our salvation too. Stand in the offering plate.
