That They May Receive Forgiveness of Sin and Inheritance Among Them - Part 948

"To whom coming -- a living stone disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, precious, ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ."

Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, "Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on Him shall not be confounded. Unto you therefore which believe, [He is] precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the Head of the corner, and a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, [even to them] which stumble at the Word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed ...

But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvellous light ..." (I Peter 2:4-9)

Just like Jesus called Saul out of darkness into His marvellous light. (Acts 26:19)

"And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, "Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou Me? It is hard for thee to kick against the pricks." And I said, "Who art Thou, Lord?" And He said, "I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. But rise and stand upon thy feet, for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; delivering thee from the people, and [from] the Gentiles, and unto whom now I send thee to open their eyes, and to turn [them] from darkness to light, and [from] the power of satan unto God, "that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them, which are sanctified by faith that is in me." (Acts 26:14-18)

And as we read, Saul/Paul was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision. Neither should we be disobedient in following our Lord God and Saviour Jesus Christ. Trust Him today. Study His Word. Rejoice in His free gift of salvation to those who love Jesus with all their heart, soul, mind and strength. Stand in His offering plate.
