"O Lord, Thou [art[ my God; I will exalt Thee, I will praise Thy Name; for Thou hast done wonderful [things]; Thy counsels of old [are] faithfulness and truth." (Isaiah 25:1)
"And it shall be said in that day, "Lo, this is our God, we have waited fro Him, and He will save us: this is the Lord; we have waited for Him, we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation."(Isaiah 25:9)
The dayspring from on high has visited His people. The same God who created the world in the beginning, loved you and I so much that He willingly became our Saviour. (Titus 3:4-7; I Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6) And now, we look for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works." (Titus 2:13-14)
This is why we give thanks always to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, so that you too can experience the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the Word of the truth of the gospel; which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and brings forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard, and knew the grace of God in truth. (Colossians 1:3-6)
The same God the Father -- the Spirit of the Lord who moved across the face of the waters in the beginning -- and overshadowed Mary, so that she could bring forth a son. (Matthew 1:18-23; Luke 1:35; Genesis 1:1-2)
Not a different Spirit (as the religious traditions of men teach with their triad god worship) but the One and Only God the Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. (Ephesians 4:5-6)
His Name is JESUS in this current dispensation of grace. The only Name given among men whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:12) The Name above every other Name. (Philippians 2:9)
And when we come in the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the fullness of Christ, we will no longer be as children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men and cunning craftiness, wherein they lie in wait to deceive; but rather, speaking the truth in love, so that we can grow up into Him in all things, which is the Head -- Christ. (Ephesians 4:12-14)
He is our all in all! And we are members of His body -- the body of Christ church, wherein JESUS the Christ is the Head of the church. "... which in His times He shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords .." (I Timothy 6:15)
"For this cause, we also," writes Paul (an apostle of Jesus Christ), "we also, since the day we heard, do not cease to pray for you, that ye might be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, that ye might walk worthy of the Lord, unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God: strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, unto all patience and long-suffering with joyfulness; giving thanks unto the Father which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light -- WHO HATH DELIVERED US FROM THE POWER OF DARKNESS, AND HATH TRANSLATED [US] INTO THE KINGDOM OF HIS DEAR SON; IN WHOM WE HAVE REDEMPTION THROUGH HIS BLOOD, THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS ..." (Colossians 1:9-13; Ephesians 1:8, 11, 15-17; I Corinthians 1:5; Romans 12:2; Ephesians 4:1-2; I Thessalonians 4:1; Hebrews 13:21; II Peter 3:18; Ephesians 3:16; Ephesians 6:10-12; Acts 5:41; Ephesians 5:20; II Peter 1:11)
Why Jesus? Because He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature. "For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they] be thrones or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him and for Him: and He is before all things, and by Him all things consist. And He is the Head of the body, the Church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all [things] He might have the preeminence ... for it please the Father that in Him should all the fullness dwell." (Colossians 1:15-19)
The peace for our salvation, the joy experienced from knowing the guilt and shame associated with our sins has been removed once and for all through the blood of His cross, wherein by Him, He reconciled all things unto Himself; by Him we who were sometime alienated and enemies in mind by wicked works, hath He reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, so that we can be presented "holy and unblaneable and unreproveable in His sight -- if ye continue in the faith, grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven ..." (Colossians 1:20-23)
Thus, as ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him, rooted and built up in Him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, with all thankfulness, knowing that we by ourselves could never have entered into the holiest of holiest until that vail was torn from heaven to earth -- when God willingly became our Saviour.
Don't let the traditions of men steal you from understanding the mystery that was held in the bosom of the Father from the very beginning -- that in Him dwelt all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. (Colossians 2:9)
He has quickened us together with Him, having forgiven us all trespasses; "blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to His cross; and having spoiled principalities and powers, He made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it ..." (Colossians 2:13-15)
If you have not yet come to Jesus, know that the day of salvation is at hand. Repent of your sins, and be buried with Him in baptism (water baptized by immersion in the precious Name of the Lord Jesus Christ) wherein also ye are risen with Him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised Him from the dead, and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Colossians 2:12-13; Acts 2:36-47; Acts 10:44-48; Romans 6:3-4)
"Touch not; taste not; handle not; which all are to perish with the using; after the commandments and doctrines of men?" (Colossians 2:21-22) Rather, we have a higher calling to aspire unto, wherein our life and hearts are hid with Christ in God. Stand firm in the faith. Be renewed in knowledge after the image of Him that created Him. And put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, long-suffering; forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, and above all these things, charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
Stand in the offering plate.
