But As Many As Received Him, To Them Gave He Power To Become The Sons of God, Even To Them That Believe On His Name - Part 1672

In the beginning of the new testament, we learn that the angel answered and said unto Mary, "The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God." (Luke 1:35)

After the cross, we not only understand but -- "we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know Him that is true, and we are in Him that is true, even in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life." (1 John 5:20)

In between, we -- in very much the same manner and process as the disciples -- begin to understand how much love and kindness it took the same Lord God (who created us in the beginning) to become flesh and dwell among us -- so that we (His beloved) could experience true life in Him. Abundant life. Eternal life. Living a life full of purpose according to His design, placed in our hearts whilst we were still in our mother's womb. The strength that only comes from being infilled with His joy!

The King of kings and Lord of lords temporarily veiled in a sin-prone flesh (as a Son) so that His true identity (at least for the moment in time that He walked this earth would be concealed from those who sought Jesus for their own self-serving gain. As the scriptures state, God was manifest in the flesh. The Lord coming forth as a mighty man. (I Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6; Isaiah 42:13)

"He was in the world and the world was made by Him and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own but His own received Him not." (John 1:10-11; John 10:30; John 14:6-12)

His glory hidden until that day the tomb was found empty, and those 120 disciples who truly loved Jesus with all their heart, soul, mind and strength willingly tarried in Jerusalem until the power from on high -- Jesus "through" the Holy Ghost - was poured out on the day of Pentecost. (Acts 1:2; Acts 2:36-47; Joel 2:28)

It is for this reason that now we are without excuse. The scriptures are available to one and all to understand. No longer is the glory of our Lord God and Saviour hid behind a veil because on the cross, that veil was torn from top to bottom. His salvation message available to one and all -- His free gift of grace and mercy clothed in His love, so that we might enjoy His fullness in us.

Jesus said, "Lo, behold the volume of the book is written of Me!" We see this throughout the scriptures. And yet, the traditions of men have replaced His absolute truth with false religious culture, adding to the scriptures a false trinity, teaching that Almighty God could be divided into three persons. Sadly, this is a reflection of the divided hearts of men, and our unwillingness to submit our everything to the Lord of glory.

Still, the Word remains absolute, unfailing, and without compromise.

"Even every one that is called by My Name: for I have created Him for my glory, I have formed Him; yea, I have made Him. Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears. Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and shew us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, "It is truth. Ye are My witnesses," saith the Lord, "and My servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He: before Me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after Me.

I, even I, am the Lord; and beside Me there is no Saviour.

I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses," saith the Lord, "that I am God. Yea, before the day was I am He; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?"

Thus saith the Lord, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; "For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their nobles, and the Chaldeans, whose cry is in the ships. I am the Lord, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King." (Isaiah 43:9-15)

"I, even I, am the Lord; and beside Me there is no Saviour."

One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism. One God and Father who is above all, and through all, and in you all. (Ephesians 4:5-6)

Hear O Israel, the Lord thy God is One Lord. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 12:29-31)

In this current dispensation of grace, His Name is JESUS -- for He shall save His people from their sins. (Matthew 1:21-23) No other Name is worthy of our honour and glory and praise. (Acts 4:12; Philippians 2:9; Revelation 3:8-9; Revelation 1:8, 11) This same Jesus whom ye have crucified is both Lord and Christ. (Acts 2:36)

As a consequence, we need to stop indulging the false teachings of men that deny the glory of our Lord God and Saviour, and instead, take hold of the Word of God which never fails. Because He -- Jesus the Christ -- is our all in all!
