O Magnify the Lord With Me, And Let Us Exalt His Name Together - Part 1580

"Yet they were not afraid, nor rent their garments, neither the king, nor any of his servants that heard his words." (Jeremiah 36:24)

The underlying message in the psalms is an extension of the first commandment. That is, hear O Israel the Lord thy God is one Lord AND to love the Lord -- to trust in Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 12:29-31)

Why? Because He is our refuge and strength. Though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we will fear no evil for the Lord is with us. On the new testament side, after Jesus shed His holy blood on the cross for you and I so that we might have remission of sins, He now lives within. The Comforter who leads and guides us into all truth. (John 15:16-17)

His Name? Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins. (Matthew 1:21-23)

But as we also know, there is evil in the world, and all around us. Thus, in those moments when our hearts need refreshing, it should be our heart's desire to bless the Lord ... His praise continually in our mouth. "My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His Name together." (Psalm 34:1-3)

We need to become like the poor man who cried out, and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles. And when we seek the Lord and He hears us and delivers us from our fears, we need to understand that we have just tasted and seen that the Lord is good and that, as a consequence, we can be faithful in our communications.  (Psalm 34:4-6; Philemon 1:6)

"O fear the Lord, ye His saints, for there is no want to them that fear Him. The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger; but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. Come, ye children, hearken unto Me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord ... the righteous cry and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles." (Psalm 34:9-17)

Because the Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart, and saves such as be of a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken. evil shall slay the wicked and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate. The Lord redeems the soul of His servants and none of them that trust in Him shall be desolate. (Psalm 34:18-22)

We see this in the account of Jesus' birth, when the angel suddenly appeared praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest; and on earth, peace and good will toward men." (Luke 2:14)

"And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord; it shall rejoice in His salvation.: (Psalm 35:9; L Thessalonians 5:3)

"Delight thyself also in the Lord and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass." (Psalm 37:3-5)

And for magnifying the Lord, and exalting His Name together, what privilege we have knowing that He shall bring forth Thy righteousness as the light, and Thy judgement as the noon day. Rest in the Lord; and wait for Him; fret not Thyself because of hi who prospers in His way.

Stand in the offering plate with our Lord God and Saviour Jesus the Christ, He is from whence comes our salvation. He is the King of kings and Lord of lords. The One and Only. And when the time comes, every knee will bow and shall confess that the Lord Jesus is good to the glory of God the Father,
