They Being Ignorant of God's Righteousness And Going About to Establish Their Own Righteousness - Part 1095

Believers in Jesus Christ by faith need to understand that Jesus Christ is the ONLY visible manifestation of the invisible God of the Old Testament. There is no other.

"God, who at sundry times and in diverse manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days, spoken unto us by [His] Son whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds -- who being the brightness of [His] glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the Word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high, being made so much better than the angels, as He hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

For unto which of the angels said He at any time, "Thou art My Son. This day have I begotten Thee?" And again, when He bringeth in the first begotten into all the world He saith, "And let all the angels of God worship Him." And of the angels He saith, "Who maketh His angels Spirits and His ministers a flame of fire."

But unto the Son [He saith], "Thy throne, O God, [is] forever and ever. A sceptre or righteousness [is] the sceptre of Thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness and hated iniquity, therefore God, even Thy God, hath anointed Thee with the oil of gladness above Thy fellows." And, "Thou Lord in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of Thine hands, They shall perish but Thou remainest, and they all shall wax old as doth a garment.

And as a vesture shalt Thou fold them up, and they shall be changed, but Thou art the same, and Thy years shall not fail. But to which of the angels said He at any time, "Sit on My right hand until I make Thine enemies Thy footstool?" Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?" (Hebrews 1-14)

The Word that was with God and was God was made flesh and dwelt among us (and we beheld His glory -- the glory of the ONLY BEGOTTEN of the Father) full of grace and truth, (John 1:1-18)

"All things were made by Him and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was life and the light of men." (John 1:3-4)

"He was in the world and the world was made by Him and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own and His own received Him not but as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God -- to them that believe on His name." (John 1:10-12)

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God and Timothy a brother wrote unto the church of God and to all the saints -- "In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ -- WHO IS THE IMAGE OF GOD should shine unto them -- for we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord and ourselves your servants for Jesus sake. For God who commanded the light to shine out of darkness hath shined in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ." (II Corinthians 4:4--6)
\
"For such an high priest became us, [who is] holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners and made higher than the heavens." (Hebrews 7:26)

So, if Jesus is Almighty God in the flesh, and similarly the ONLY name whereby we must be saved, why does the modern religious culture insist on promoting a Godhead that cannot be found anywhere in the scriptures. (Isaiah 9:6; I Timothy 3:16; Colossians 1:12-19; Acts 4:12)

"Who needeth not daily as those high priests to offer up sacrifice, first for their own sins and then for the people's, first for his own sins and then for the people's, for this He did once when He offered up Himself. "For the Law maketh men high priests which have infirmity, BUT the Word of the oath which was since the Law [maketh] the Son -- who is consecrated for evermore. Now of the things which we have spoke [this] is the sum:

"We have such an high priest who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, a minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the Lord pitched and not man." (Hebrews 8:1-2)

The greatest love story ever told, and yet every day new believers in Jesus Christ by faith are led astray by the FALSE teaching of a "triune God" -- that Father, Son and Holy Spirit have eternally existed or eternally co-existed as equals -- three Gods. To reinforce this false doctrine, the religious culture relies on three scriptures.

The first scripture taken out of context from the rest of the chapter -- Gen 1:26 – Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness,“  The second scripture admittedly changed by the Roman Catholic church in the third century -- Matt 28:19 – Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. The third scripture John 1:1 – In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God - that fails to acknowledge that this same Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.

The apostles warned us that false teachers -- wolves in sheep's clothing would enter and attempt to divert us from the gospel. If there is any doctrine that has caused division among the body of Christ, it would be the false trinity teaching.

"For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God, for Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth." (Romans 10:3-4)

But it does not need to be this way. Search the scriptures for therein you will learn of Jesus, and His love that was destined from the very beginning.

Fall in love with Jesus today. Be baptized in His precious name. (Acts 2:37-42) Receive the gift of the Holy Ghost and become proclaimers of the one and only good news gospel of Jesus Christ. (Hebrews 6:1) Stand in the offering plate.
