I have not come to condemn the world but that the world through Me might be saved. In our first posting, we endeavoured to introduce the Lord's redemption plan as unveiled in the Scriptures. In part two, we endeavour to elaborate more fully on the points briefly touched upon above.
We understand that it is impossible for God to lie, that God stands over His Word to perform it. John 1:1 states that "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God." Without word, it is impossible for anyone to theorize. God in the beginning counselled with Himself. His counsel planning how God Himself would become man's Saviour, and as such, provide the necessary pure and Holy Seeds male and female, of His Holy Spirit.
It is in this context that God gave man a body so that our spiritual intents, unseen to creation, may now be visibly demonstrated. Man was always intended to be a visible expression of God's spirituality. But man messed up. Still, God is Love.
Indeed, He So Loved the world (John 3:16) He condescended ... a condescension so unfathomable in scope. He, the Creator, would leave His Glory stooping, veiling Himself in the flesh appearing in fashion as a son over His own household. In so doing, He ushered Himself into this lost world. His Grace. His Mercy. His Love. He would become all things to all men that He might save that which would have been utterly and totally lost without God's predestined plan of salvation.
Who then would dare to say that sin is insurmountable? Sin vales in comparison to the height, width, depth and length of our Lord and Saviour's love. As far as the east is from the west, that is the measurement of eternal Life Seed for surely the life is in the Blood. God's plan is to purchase man's redemption sacrificing Himself as a Son. The blood that flowed in Jesus' veins was the Spirit of God's own blood.
When the two seeds of promise arrived into Mary, the predestined destination, the Holy Spirit brought His own two seeds together (i.e. the promise to Eve and the promise to Abraham). The fetus conceived of the Holy Ghost was now in Mary's womb. The angel declared to her that that which is conceived in her was conceived of the Holy Ghost. It is no wonder that Mary asked, "how could this be?"
The holy fetus child of His Holy Spirit is now in an environment to receive earthly fashion. The fetus will be found in fashion as a man receiving nourishment from Mary's fallen sinful body. God having previously said that all have sinned, "there is none righteous, no not one."
Mary was a surrogate mother blessed among women. However, never more blessed, for far more blessed are all people who hear the Word of God and do it. Isaiah the prophet prophesied saying, "unto you a child is born, unto you a Son is given." God had said the soul that sins, it shall die. Are you dying? Mary like all others died. She also was a recipient of God's declaration. He who was brought forth from Mary's womb was without father or mother and without descent. Others made reference to Mary and Joseph as being His father and mother and Jesus was obedient. Still, Jesus never once called Mary Mother. For He was GOD as a son and honoured them as such, not being as a child disobedient to them.
Please note this is not a put down of Mary, for I also acknowledge that she was blessed. One should also note at this point that the date of Jesus' birth was not the currently celebrated date December 25. For if that were the case, then the scripture details would be in error. Let me touch on this for a moment.
John the Baptist father Zacharias was attending to his temple duties when an angel informed him of events about to transpire in his life. In fact, in his immediate future, Zacharias' wife Elizabeth was to become pregnant at the conclusion of Zacharias temple duties (so enters John the Baptist). These temple duties were administered in June 6 approximately lasting for a period of six days.
We must be aware of the foregoing if we are to be enlightened to the time of the conception of Jesus. The same angel Gabriel that appeared to Zacharias is the very same angel that visited Mary. At the time of his visitation to Mary, the angel informed Mary that her cousin Elizabeth was also now with child and approximately six months pregnant. If we calculate time frames, then Elizabeth must have become pregnant sometime in June. Elizabeth's child then would be born nine months later. At the same time, Mary is now pregnant with the child of the Holy Spirit.
Like the multitude of heavenly hosts, we worship God saying: "Glory to God in the Highest and on Earth peace and goodwill toward all men." The shepherds in the field who were keeping watch over their flock by night praying.
Worshiping only at the feet of JESUS, the one and only mediator, our great high priest presenting our gifts of simplicity, sincerity offering ourselves into His once and for all sacrificial offering
Peace be in Jesus name! Stand in the offering plate.
