Through The Tender Mercy Of Our God; Whereby The Dayspring From On High Hath Visited Us, And We Are Privy To His Knowledge By Virtue Of The Word - Part 2021

"The heart of the prudent gets knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge." (Proverbs 18:15)

Where do we find knowledge? In this current dispensation of grace, we find wisdom in our Lord God and Saviour Jesus the Christ who came into this world "to give knowledge of salvation unto His people by the remission of their sins ..." (Luke 1:77)

After all, Jesus said, "I am the Bread of Life ... he that comes to Me shall never hunger; and he that believes on Me shall never thirst." (John 6:35)

There is a wonderful example of the Author of knowledge in Matthew's account -- "And when the men of that place had knowledge of Him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto Him all that were diseased ... and besought Him that they might only touch the hem of His garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole" (Matthew 14:35-36)

But there is much more. Indeed, within the Word, we find ultimate knowledge and wisdom in Christ Jesus. And, if there was ever a science lesson to inform us about the things of this world, we only need to venture as far as the numerous questions the Lord asks in Job 38. Far too often, we rely on the Genesis account of creation without digging deeper into His Word for truth. But the Lord has told us that in Him can we find breadth and depth of knowledge, and that as a consequence of us seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, others too will come to realize that our understanding and knowledge is not of this world.

"Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus." (Acts 4:13)

But let's look at Job 38 and 39, for therein the Lord offers multiple questions for you and I to consider about the things of this world -- the Lord answering Job out of the whirlwind. Meditate upon these things and know that as much as we delve into the things of this world, there will still be unanswered questions that only the Lord with His ultimate wisdom and knowledge can provide.

From Job 38:

"Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge? Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou Me. Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if thou hast understanding. Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? Or who hath stretched the line upon it?

Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? Or who laid the corner stone thereof; when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb? When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddling band for it, and brake up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors, and said, "Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?"

Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know His place; that it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it? It is turned as clay to the seal; and they stand as a garment. And from the wicked their light is withholden, and the high arm shall be broken. Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? Or hast thou walked in the search of the depth? Have the gates of death been opened unto thee? Or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death? Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? Declare if thou knowest it all.

Where is the way where light dwells? And as for darkness, where is the place thereof, that thou shouldest take it to the bound thereof, and that thou shouldest know the paths to the house thereof?Knowest thou it, because thou wast then born? Or because the number of thy days is great? Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? Or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail, which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?

By what way is the light parted, which scatters the east wind upon the earth? Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder; to cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, wherein there is no man; to satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth?

Hath the rain a father? Or who hath begotten the drops of dew? Out of whose womb came the ice?
And the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it? The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.

Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion? Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? Or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons? Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? Canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth? Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee?

Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go, and say unto thee, "Here we are? Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? Or who hath given understanding to the heart? Who can number the clouds in wisdom? Or who can stay the bottles of heaven, when the dust grows into hardness, and the clods cleave fast together?  Wilt thou hunt the prey for the lion? Or fill the appetite of the young lions, when they couch in their dens, and abide in the covert to lie in wait? Who provides for the raven his food? When his young ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of meat." (Job 38:1-41)

Continuing from Job 39:

"Knowest thou the time when the wild goats of the rock bring forth? Or canst thou mark when the hinds do calve? Canst thou number the months that they fulfil? Or knowest thou the time when they bring forth? They bow themselves, they bring forth their young ones, they cast out their sorrows. Their young ones are in good liking, they grow up with corn; they go forth, and return not unto them.

Who hath sent out the wild ass free? Or who hath loosed the bands of the wild ass? Whose house I have made the wilderness, and the barren land his dwellings. He scorns the multitude of the city, neither regards he the crying of the driver. The range of the mountains is his pasture, and he searches after every green thing.

Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide by thy crib? Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow? Or will he harrow the valleys after thee? Wilt thou trust him, because his strength is great? Or wilt thou leave thy labour to him? Wilt thou believe him, that he will bring home thy seed, and gather it into thy barn?

Gavest thou the goodly wings unto the peacocks? Or wings and feathers unto the ostrich? which leaves her eggs in the earth, and warms them in dust, and forgets that the foot may crush them, or that the wild beast may break them. She is hardened against her young ones, as though they were not hers: her labour is in vain without fear; because God hath deprived her of wisdom, neither hath He imparted to her understanding. What time she lifts up herself on high, she scorns the horse and his rider.

Hast thou given the horse strength? Hast thou clothed his neck with thunder? Canst thou make him afraid as a grasshopper? The glory of his nostrils is terrible. He paws in the valley, and rejoices in his strength: he goes on to meet the armed men. He mocks at fear, and is not affrighted; neither turns he back from the sword. The quiver rattles against him, the glittering spear and the shield. He swallows the ground with fierceness and rage: neither believes he that it is the sound of the trumpet. He saith among the trumpets, "Ha, ha; and he smells the battle afar off, the thunder of the captains, and the shouting.

Doth the hawk fly by thy wisdom, and stretch her wings toward the south? Doth the eagle mount up at thy command, and make her nest on high? She dwells and abides on the rock, upon the crag of the rock, and the strong place. From thence she seeks the prey, and her eyes behold afar off. Her young ones also suck up blood: and where the slain are, there is she." (Job 39:1-30)

Of course, there is more, always so much more, but for now let it suffice for you and I to understand that the Lord God Almighty, who decidedly and willingly chose to become our Saviour is the beginning of all wisdom and knowledge. Let's remember this as we move forward in our day to day, and in our faith journey. And, within the same context, let's never stop praising our Lord and Christ -- JESUS -- for His innumerable blessings to those who believe. Let Him be our strength and joy, and our reason for living.

Jesus Tells Us That Those Who Enter Not By The Door Into The Sheepfold, But Climbs Up Some Other Way, The Same Is A Thief And A Robber - Part 2020

Jesus said, "And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear My voice; and there shall be One fold, and One shepherd." (John 10:16)

Throughout the scriptures, we understand that God does not look at the outward appearance of individuals., and neither is He a respecter of persons. However, He is fully aware of the thoughts and intents of our hearts. Why? Because He, as our Lord God and Saviour knows us intimately. Yes, all is naked and open before His eyes. Indeed, even the very hairs of your head are numbered.

"But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows." (Luke 12:7; Matthew 10:30)

Certainly, God existed first and foremost and nothing had existed without Him. And as such, He is in total control of all things. The universe is His whether the components of the universe are visible or invisible. He alone spoke this world into its form and equipped mankind with the capability to enjoy its richness from one generation to another.

In this context, a farmer for example may plant the seed and reap the harvest but without the seed, neither could have occurred. In the same manner does our offspring have seed within themselves. We have a yearning that desires to find our Lord God and Saviour and to commune with Him, as did Adam in the cool of the day in the garden. Even to this day, the Lord God of Glory continues to be so mindful of man, even when we do anything but give honour and glory and praise to Him.

But there is so much more. God has set man over the works of His own hands, desiring that man be fruitful and multiply. As such, God continues to replenish His creation, of which God Himself, upon completion of His handiwork, saw His creation to be good. In fact, He loved this creation called man for the creation was "God Himself invisible in created form." Man was made in His image. The heavens thereby declaring His glory and the earth showing forth His handiwork.

Unfortunately, something went askew, but not according to God's plan. For He had purposed by the counsel of His own will that His earthly creation -- our destined time on this earth -- was only to be a stepping stone into an unbelievable eternal glory. In fact, the revelation is in the next unveiling of God's purpose. This because we, as the offspring of Adam's fallen race became recipients of penalties administered to mankind by the Lord.

We had become slaves to sin imprisoned by its desires, even though we try dressing it up and whitewashing our projection of ourselves to others. We do so even when we remain fully aware that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. And that, we cannot be saved by good works, because our heart is not in alignment with our Lord God and Saviour.

Still, God had a vision. At the time of administering the curse, God reached out in Love promising that the seed of a woman would bruise the serpent's head. This seed was not of Adam's fallen race but rather a brand "new seed"-- a precious Seed, a holy Spirit Seed, a Seed in which all the nations of earth could be blessed. And because God had decided His salvation plan, even before the world began, that Precious Seed of Promise passed from Eve into Seth as recorded in scriptures and travelled down through the ages until the seed arrived in Sarah, who was barren. God had promised to Abram (Abraham) that in his seed would all the nations of the earth be blessed.

God's ways are not our ways. His thoughts are much higher than ours, and with God nothing is impossible. Even though Abram was now 100 years of age and his natural capabilities as a man had passed, the Lord had a miracle in mind. As promised, the Adam seed was to be no more!

So what did the Lord do? He resurrected Abram's capabilities and at the same time placed into Abram a precious promised Seed. Now we see His purpose unveiling. God opened Sarah's womb allowing the two promised precious Seeds to pass into Isaac, fulfilling the scripture, that in Isaac shall thy seed be called.

And God said unto Abraham, "Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called." (Genesis 21:12)

"... neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called." (Romans 9:7)

"... of whom it was said -- That in Isaac shall Thy seed be called:" (Hebrews 11:18)

And, as a consequence, another genealogy commenced. This genealogy begins with Abraham and not with Eve. These two genealogies travel as before until the fullness of time comes in the culmination of the predetermined foreordained destination of these two precious promised Seeds destined mission that terminated in a young virgin girl named Mary. As we know, an angel informed Mary that the Holy Ghost would overshadow her so that she could bring forth a Son.

Yes, His Name was to be called JESUS!

He would save His people FROM their sin. God Himself to be veiled in the flesh, appearing in fashion outwardly as Adam's offspring and inwardly as the Precious Promised Seed of God's holy Spirit! In JESUS' veins flowed the blood of God's holy Spirit God in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself. (II Corinthians 5:19)

After the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared! (Titus 3:4-7)

The Dayspring From On High Hath Visited His People; His Name Is JESUS For He Shall Save His People From Their Sins - Part 2019

"And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call His name JESUS: for He shall save His people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, "Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us." (Matthew 1:21-23)

"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is NONE other Name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)

"Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a Name which is above every name ..." (Philippians 2:9)

In the scriptures, Jesus told the disciples that this cup is the new testament. He said, “a new testament." By referring to it as the new testament, He had rendered the former covenant old and obsolete. "The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:" (Hebrews 9:8)

If we review the scriptures in context, we find that the old covenant was between two parties. The new covenant is the last Will and Testament of the Holy Spirit’s only begotten son named Jesus. Obviously, Jesus did not consult with man before He wrote His last will and testament  As a consequence, there are many people who will try to obscure His Will. The point that they need to note is that this WILL is more than a covenant. Why? For covenants come and covenants go. In this example, God walked away from the former covenant simply because the other party involved never fulfilled their part of the covenant.

But this new TESTAMENT is established between God who is Spirit and the man Christ Jesus -- the child of the Holy Ghost. The same Holy Ghost which overshadowed Mary so that she could bring forth a son. Therefore, the contents contained in the new testament are not dependant on the first Adam or attempts by the fallen race to somehow ratify salvation. However, Adam's fallen sinful offspring became benefactors of all the contained promises and blessings, simply because in the veins of the man Jesus flowed the blood of His own holy Spirit.

It is HIS blood that seals the everlasting testament. In order to receive the contents willed to you by the ONE GOD who was in the man Christ Jesus, you must come to the advocate of the will. This is the way that the Holy Ghost spoke through the mouth of Peter -- Until the day that Jesus was taken up, after that He gave commandments to the apostles THROUGH the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:1-4)

Remember when the people wanted to know what to do, and they asked this very question -- what must we do? They had come to the realization that they had, by their collective actions crucified the Lord of glory. As Peter (standing with the eleven) clearly stated, "Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ." (Acts 2:36)

The response? Peter said to them, Repent (why not?) and be baptized (why not?) in water (symbolical of being buried as outlined in Romans chapter 6:3-6) in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:38-41)

Yes, into the name of the Lord Jesus, said Peter. And as many as are water baptized into Jesus the Christ will be baptized into His death. This is why there is no other name under Heaven given among men whereby we can be saved. (Acts 4:12)

No other name. Only Jesus! Why? Because when the angel of the Lord appeared, there was no beating around the bush about the Name whereby He shall save His people from their sin.

You see, the modern day religious culture has tried to tell us that father, son and spirit are names but they are not. Rather, they are descriptive titles. We ourselves know this because we can be likened to these same descriptive titles in our own life, but we also have a name by which we are identified. And it is in His Name -- the precious name of the Lord Jesus wherein we can experience life more abundantly.

Therefore, don't let another day go by without asking the Lord Jesus into your heart and mind and soul. Take hold of His truth and don't let go for He is the answer to every life problem. And when we do, follow the instructions as per the words of the administrator of the New Testament (the Holy Ghost) and continue steadfastly in His Word.

By Pureness, By Knowledge, By Longsuffering, By Kindness By The Holy Ghost, By Love Unfeigned; Our Heart Enlarged! - Part 2018

"Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin?" (Proverbs 20:9)

If we are honest in our hearts, this question should lead us to understand why God made a way for each and every one of us to experience salvation, when there was no way. Certainly, we could not keep the law in and of itself, which is why the law ion the New Testament side is identified as a schoolmaster to bring us to Christ. He paid the price for our sin on the cross, and when we are water baptized in the precious Name of the Lord Jesus, we become clothed in His righteousness.

Indeed, we are encouraged to draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water." (Hebrews 10:22)

There are other scriptures on this point, wherein we are edified and strengthened in our faith journey. And wherein also, we can learn of the abundant love and kindness of God our Saviour. (Titus 3:4-7) Meditate wholly upon the Word of God in the days ahead, keeping yourself pure from the sins of this world. (I Timothy 5:22)

Knowing too, "the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy." (James 3:17)

As well, "seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently ..." (I Peter 1:22)

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things ..." (Philippians 4:8)

"We then, as workers together with Him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain. (For He saith, "I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation!")

Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed: but in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings; by pureness, by knowledge, by long suffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned, by the Word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, by honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true; as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed; as sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

O ye Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged. Ye are not straitened in us, but ye are straitened in your own bowels. Now for a recompense in the same, (I speak as unto my children) be ye also enlarged.

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? Or what part hath he that believes with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? For ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, "I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate," saith the Lord, "and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be My sons and daughters," saith the Lord Almighty." (II Corinthians 6:1-18)

"Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knows us not, because it knew Him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is. And every man that hath this hope in Him purifies Himself, even as He is pure.

Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. And ye know that He was manifested to take away our sins; and in Him is no sin. Whosoever abides in Him sins not: whosoever sins hath not seen Him, neither known Him. Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous ... he that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sins  from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for His seed remains in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loves not his brother.

For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous. Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you. We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loves not his brother abides in death. Whosoever hates his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

Hereby perceive we the love of God, because He laid down His life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoso hath this world’s good, and sees his brother have need, and shuts up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwells the love of God in him?

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him. For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of Him, because we keep His commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.

And this is His commandment, That we should believe on the Name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as He gave us commandment. And he that keeps His commandments dwells in Him, and He in him. And hereby we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit which He hath given us." (I John 3:1-24)

Conversely, " ... lo, Thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear Thy words ... but they do them not." (Ezekiel 33:32) This is why we choose not to become entangled in the things of this world, the bondage, and the deceit that takes our hearts away from our God. The same God who shewed John "a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb." (Revelation 22:1)

How That In A Great Trial Of Affliction, The Abundance Of Their Joy And Their Deep Poverty Abounded Unto The Riches Of Their Liberality - Part 2017

Jesus said, "And have ye not read this scripture; "The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner: this was the Lord's doing" ... and it is marvellous in our eyes!" And they sought to lay hold on Him, but feared the people: for they knew that He had spoken the parable against them: and they left Him, and went their way. (Mark 12:8-10)

There is an example in the scriptures which is so telling about the hearts of individuals. Jesus is teaching in the temple and He asks, "How say the scribes that Christ is the son of David?" We see the explanation offered on the day of Pentecost when Peter (standing with the eleven) preached repentance and water baptism in the Name of the Lord Jesus. But herein, this same Jesus -- who is both Lord and Christ is standing before them. (Acts 2:36-41)

Continuing, Jesus tells them, "For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, "The Lord said to My Lord, Sit Thou on My right hand, till I make Thine enemies Thy footstool." David therefore himself calls Him Lord; and whence is He then His Son?" Herein, we see that the common people heard Him gladly." (Mark 12:35-37)

Indeed, throughout the scriptures, there are numerous references that attest to the common people hearing His Word gladly. But note that Jesus also said unto them in His doctrine, "Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces, and the chief seats in the synagogues, and the uppermost rooms at feasts: which devour widows' houses, and for a pretense make long prayers: these shall receive greater damnation."

And having said this, Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. And He called unto Him His disciples, and saith unto them, "Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: for all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living." (Mark 12:35-44)

You see, those who were rich gave only from their abundance but the poor widow lady that the Lord Jesus observed gave all that she had -- her giving from her heart.

Apostle Paul offers a similar example when writing to those who believed in Corinth. Paul writes, "Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia; how that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality. For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves; praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints. And this they did, not as we hoped, BUT FIRST GAVE THEIR OWN SELVES TO THE LORD, AND UNTO US BY THE WILL OF GOD." (II Corinthians 8:2-5)

If we break down this example, what do we understand? That we are instructed "to wit of the grace of God" -- yes, and in all things. In this context, we are not to put our Lord God and Saviour Jesus the Christ on the shelf when performing worldly endeavours, but rather, that we worship the Lord Jesus in everything we do -- in both word and deed. Thus, as we see here, we are to worship our blessed Saviour during times of great trials of affliction.

For many, this is the testing ground, and in the poor widow's example, when she should have been unable to give, she instead gave her all. Thus, Paul too, is saying that in a great trial of affliction (when the assumption would be that they/we are unable to give, and that these [us] would need the help of others to continue, or conversely, concerned with where their [our] next dollar is going to come from) the apostles are repeatedly excited and full of joy.

More specifically, when these should have been downtrodden and self-absorbed, "the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality." (II Corinthians 8:2-3) Again, there are numerous examples.

"...and brought them to the magistrates, saying, "These men, being Jews, do exceedingly trouble our city, and teach customs, which are not lawful for us to receive, neither to observe, being Romans." And the multitude rose up together against them: and the magistrates rent off their clothes, and commanded to beat them. And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailer to keep them safely: who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks." (Acts 16:20-24)

[But] at midnight, what happens? " Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed." (Acts 16:20-26)

Just in case, one thinks this is an isolated example, let's look at what happened in Acts 17: "Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where was a synagogue of the Jews: and Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures, opening and alleging, "that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ." And some of them believed, and consorted with Paul and Silas; and of the devout Greeks a great multitude, and of the chief women not a few.

But the Jews which believed not, moved with envy, took unto them certain lewd fellows of the baser sort, and gathered a company, and set all the city on an uproar, and assaulted the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people. And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, "These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also; whom Jason hath received: and these all do contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another King, One Jesus."

And they troubled the people and the rulers of the city, when they heard these things. And when they had taken security of Jason, and of the other, they let them go. And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea ..." (Acts 17:1-10)

You see, even in affliction wherein these found themselves in jail, these never stopped turning the world upside down with the teaching that this same Jesus whom they preached unto the people is Christ. But the lesson does not stop here, because these who believed had an abundance of joy that was grounded in the hopes and promises of the gospel. And thus, when these should have felt downtrodden, the joy of the Lord in their hearts abounded -- "how that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality."

In spite of the numerous trials and tribulations that believers faced at every turn, what we today should see is the abundance of these believers' joy abounding, and in fact, so much so, that their joy in their hearts -- the joy of the Spirit of the Lord Jesus in their hearts -- the Comforter -- the Holy Ghost could not be repressed by persecution. Nor could their deep poverty sway their desire to contribute liberally to the needs of others so that none who were within would be without. (Acts 2:36-47)

"... their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality." (II Corinthians 8:3)

What we are witnessing then is the giving liberally of themselves, and as an example to us in this day to stand in the offering plate. Not only with our abundance but in whatever measure we can give to others. Before some begin to think these examples are only about money, please read Acts 2:1-47 because flowing through to others so that none are without is so much. more than the earthly coins of this world.

One more example to meditate upon and similarly for your edification?

Apostle Paul writes, "Now he that ministers seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness; being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causes THROUGH US thanksgiving to God.

For the administration of this service not only supplies the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God; whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men; and by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you. Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable gift." (II Corinthians 9:10-15)

Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also. Paul says he speaks not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love. For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that ye through His poverty might be rich. (II Corinthians 8:1-24)

Hear The Word Of The Lord, Wherein There Is Truth And Mercy And The Knowledge Of God - Part 2016

"But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even DENYING the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not." (II Peter 2:1-3)

"Hear the Word of the Lord, ye children of Israel: for the Lord hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land." (Hosea 4:1)

We see this in our own world today. Priests were then (and still are) in large numbers all appointed by men. Generally, priests come from a line of successors, stepping into high offices promoted by a religious system. In fact, there was a saying during the dark ages -- “That in Europe, priests were as numerous as black flies.” May we also suggest that with a host of priests comes an oft times corrupted message -- another gospel -- that is in stark contrast to the gospel message that our Lord God and Saviour Jesus the Christ delivered.

In this case, the gospel message they delivered to the people was as polluted as a black fly infestation. The only retardant to the progress of their religious pursuit was that death curtailed their expansion, at least temporarily. However, when we converse concerning the Priesthood of God, we recognize that God’s unchangeable priesthood continues ever. As it is written, JESUS is the same yesterday, today and forever. He knows all about your life, the ups and downs, the tears, the heartaches and sorrows. That is why He is a Faithful High priest touched with the feelings of our infirmities. One who is compassionate. For God Himself, as a Son was tempted and tried in all points, just like we are.

That is why we speak of Jesus as being our One and Only High Priest. There is no other. When we profess that Jesus is GOD Himself as a Son, He is mankind’s priest forever after the order of Melchisedec. Jesus, God Himself, is the only mediator between man and God. The scriptures declare this. There is only one mediator between God and man and that is Jesus the Christ. His Priesthood is untransferable.

Why? Because Jesus' priesthood is permanent and does not hail from a long list of successors, as our religious priests do.

This is why when we come to Jesus, everything in our life changes. Jesus turns "our" light switch on to the point that you will never be the same person again. He is able to save you completely, totally and absolutely all those who approach His priestly office. Yes! Here is the High priest who willingly responds to our every need. In so doing, He whispers sweet peace to me and you. The stormy sea subdues and the strong wind ceases and as a consequence, we find rest in Him.

Most of all, we find ourselves wholly safe in the arms of Jesus because we know in whom we have believed.

There is no con artist at work. No impostors. He came to you first so that He could be your friend. Yes He did. And with God on our side, who shall accuse us of anything? Christ has died for our sins once and for all. He rose from the grave confirming our justification. God, swearing Himself to an oath, that stated that all of our sins and iniquities, He would remember no more. Again, there is now no more sacrifice for sin.

Therefore, run as fast as you can to Jesus. He is the one and only Author of salvation. He is the beginning and the ending, the Alpha and Omega the first and the last. What He has promised to do for you He will perform. It is impossible for God to lie. And why would He? Here is the same God who created us willing to become a man to bring us salvation. The Word made flesh and dwelt among us. He was in the world and the world was made by Him and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own and His own received Him not. (John 1:10-11)

Therefore, comfort one another with these words. Remember too that God as a son sacrificed Himself. The battle is over. The victory is won. Come just as you are to Jesus who is both Lord and Christ. (Acts 2:36)

Similarly, read the record in Hebrews. Melchisedec was the king of the city of Salem and priest of the most high God. Abraham returning from a battle (known as the battle of the kings) was blessed by Melchisedec. What was the blessing? Melchisedec brought forth bread and wine. There stood Abraham who is spoken of in the scriptures as the father of the faithful before Melchisedec receiving a blessing represented as bread and wine.

So what does all this mean? In the first place, His name primarily means King of Righteousness and Justice. Melchisedec is without a record of father, or mother, or lineage. There is simply no genealogy, no pedigree or ancestry in the records. Further, there is no record of birth or a record indicating the end of His life. Indeed, it would appear that He was never born nor did He ever die. His life is a true symbol of the Son of God, and now as a priest He blesses Abraham, appearing with bread and wine. He continues to be a priest without interruption. No successor.

Mark the dignity of this man. How great this man must have been. The lesser is blessed by the greater and still the blessing is symbolized in bread and wine.

Rock of Ages cleft for me ... Let me hide myself in thee ... Let the water and the blood ... From thy wounded side which flowed. Such is our High Priest. Meditate upon these things. Stand in the offering plate.

For This God Is Our God For Ever And Ever: He Will Be Our Guide Even Unto Death - Part 2015

"Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ." (Acts 2:36)

Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do?" Then Peter said unto them, "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, "Save yourselves from this untoward generation."

Then they that gladly received His Word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. And all that believed were together, and had all things common; and sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved." (Acts 2:37-47)

This must have been a tremendous event, given that 3,000 souls gave their hearts, souls, minds, and strength to the Lord Jesus (who is both Lord and Christ) but these willingly were water baptized in His Name -- the precious holy Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. When these did as Peter (standing with the eleven) instructed them to do, these received the gift of the Holy Ghost. They did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart. And thankfully, for us who were once lost but now are found, the Acts 2 message is still being proclaimed in the world to this day.

But sadly, as we also know, the modern day religious culture is continually adding to the teachings of the apostles, (with their creeds and catechisms) and in some ways turning our liberty in the Lord Jesus into a form of bondage. Still, we are instructed to "stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage." (Galatians 5:1) And to "continue steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers." (Acts 2:42)

These together serve as good counsel for each and every one of us to move forward in our faith journey -- for when we stand firmly in Christ Jesus, the Rock of our salvation -- the world is no longer able to toss us to and fro. (Galatians 5:1) In fact, the more we become grounded in His Word, the less we will focus on the things of this world. In this way, we have "come out from among them" (or as another scripture states -- out of her) so that we do not suffer the plagues that will come forth. (II Corinthians 6:14-18; Revelation 18:4)

It is in this context that we who believe are so diligent about aligning our beliefs directly with His Word because the Comforter -- the Holy Ghost wherein the Father and Son are ONE -- desires to lead us into all truth. (John 10:30; II John 1:9; Hebrews 6:1-2; John 14:6-12)

Jesus told us that "Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come." (John 16:13
Jesus said in another place -- "But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in My Name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you" (John 14:26)

"Until the day in which He [Jesus] was taken up, after that He [Jesus] THROUGH the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom He had chosen: to whom also He [Jesus] shewed Himself alive after His passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God ..." (Acts 1:2-3)

Yes, this same Lord God Almighty who willingly became our Saviour on a cross 2,000 years ago is still inviting us into His kingdom. Inviting us to the most elaborate wedding feast of all time. Yes, He wants to renew our minds and hearts with His wisdom and knowledge and power. His desire is to clothe us in His righteousness so that we too can become disciples of the good news message of our Lord Jesus to one and all. And to help each and every one of us fulfill the purpose He placed in our hearts whilst we were still in our mother's womb.

As Jesus told His disciples when the 120 tarried in Jerusalem, this faith journey does not start and stop with asking Jesus into our heart. There is so much more to experience and to learn and to enjoy. He wants to fill our hearts with His joy -- and as David the psalmist said, "My cup runneth over!" (Psalm 23:5)

Why? Because "Thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for Thy name's sake lead me, and guide me." (Psalm 31:3)

"For this God is our God for ever and ever: He will be our guide even unto death." (Psalm 48:14)

This is why the Word was made flesh, God in Christ -- "to give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace." (Luke 1:79)

Now we know that the Lord Jesus will never leave us nor forsake us. Indeed, He promised His gift to all those who believe in Him and are water baptized in His Name, and who in their hearts continually desire Him -- our Lord God and Saviour Jesus the Christ.  As the scriptures state,  "ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." (Acts 1:8)

Don't let another day go by without asking the Lord Jesus to lead and guide you into His fullness of knowledge and wisdom and truth. Take hold of His truth in your heart this day. Find a New Testament and begin reading His Word so that you will know the truth that will set you free. And let the Holy Ghost (His Name JESUS) save you from your sins too.

As Ye Abound In Everything, In Faith, And Utterance, And Knowledge, And In All Diligence, And In Your Love To Us, See That Ye Abound In This Grace Also - Part 2014

"For though He was crucified through weakness, yet He liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him by the power of God toward you." (II Corinthians 13:4)

Jesus said, "Ye have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in My Name, He may give it you." (John 15:16)

Peter opened his mouth, and said, "Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: but in every nation he that fears Him, and works righteousness, is accepted with Him. The Word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (He is Lord of all:) that Word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judæa, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached; how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him." (Acts 10:34-38)

Apostle Paul further elaborates, writing: "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus." (Galatians 3:28)

In both Jesus' teachings, and the instructions of the apostles, we begin to understand that there is no respecter of persons within the body of Christ church. Indeed, as the scriptures dictate, we who believe in the Lord Jesus by faith, and are seeking Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength are all equal -- chosen by our Lord God and Saviour Jesus the Christ to serve Him.

This is not to suggest that the Lord does not bestow spiritual gifts upon those who believe so that we can flow through to one another, but rather that He has specifically designed the body of Christ so that the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ can be effectively proclaimed as a consequence of the members of His church working together in one accord. In fact, this is an essential part of His body of Christ church mission and mandate.

Scripturally, this one accord is specifically displayed on the day of Pentecost, the same day that the apostles' doctrine was established, and the first 3,000 souls saved. (Acts 2:36-47) Therein, not one was without which offers a clear example of how we are to love one another, and to also support one another, once we have received the gift. What is the gift? Let's look at Acts 2:38, wherein Peter standing with the eleven responded to the question -- "What must we do?"

Then Peter said unto them, "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost." (Acts 2:38)
Apostle Paul further elaborates on these points in II Corinthians 8:

"Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia; how that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality. For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves; praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.

And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God. Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also. Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.

I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love. For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that ye through His poverty might be rich.

And herein I give my advice: for this is expedient for you, who have begun before, not only to do, but also to be forward a year ago. Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have. For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not. For I mean not that other men be eased, and ye burdened: BUT BY AN EQUALITY that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: THAT THERE MAY BE AN EQUALITY: as it is written, he that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack.

But thanks be to God, which put the same earnest care into the heart of Titus for you. For indeed he accepted the exhortation; but being more forward, of his own accord he went unto you. And we have sent with him the brother, whose praise is in the gospel throughout all the churches; and not that only, but who was also chosen of the churches to travel with us with this grace, which is administered by us to the glory of the same Lord, and declaration of your ready mind: avoiding this, that no man should blame us in this abundance which is administered by us: providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.

And we have sent with them our brother, whom we have oftentimes proved diligent in many things, but now much more diligent, upon the great confidence which I have in you. Whether any do inquire of Titus, he is my partner and fellow helper concerning you: or our brethren be inquired of, they are the messengers of the churches, and the glory of Christ. Wherefore shew ye to them, and before the churches, the proof of your love, and of our boasting on your behalf." (II Corinthians 8:1-24)

We have so much to be thankful for, but more specifically, the love of our Lord God and Saviour Jesus the Christ, who willingly paid the price for our sins once and for all. As we can attest, His love for us was so abundant that He willingly became the second Adam (the Lord from heaven!) so that we could become beloved in Him. And, in so doing, He did not create the hierarchies and the hoops that this world forces us to jump through before being deemed a success. Instead, the Lord called us into His love, and from therein, when our hearts change toward Him, and we are water baptized in His precious holy Name -- the Name of the Lord Jesus -- our hearts desire only more of Him.

Yes, indeed, He becomes our all in all! Meditate on these things on this blessed day that the Lord hath made for you and I. Stand in the offering plate.

When Christ Who Is Our Life Shall Appear, Then Shall Ye Also Appear With Him In Glory - Part 2013

"If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with Him in glory." (Colossians 3:1-4)

When we begin to understand our life hid with Christ in God, there is a new beginning wherein our hearts and minds are renewed. Our faith journey becomes about seeking those things which are above because we have repented, and water baptized in His precious Name -- the Name of JESUS. (Acts 2:36-38; Romans 6:3-4) And as a consequence, our consciences toward God, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ is clear.

More specifically, please note that water baptism doth ALSO now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh) but the answer of a good conscience toward God -- by the resurrection of Jesus Christ who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God -- ALL angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto Him. (I Peter 3:21-22)

Isaiah often prophesied of the Lord God giving His right arm of salvation. That there is no other Saviour beside Him, and that there is only One God and He is Lord. After God was manifest in the flesh, and ascended into heaven, "until the day in which He was taken up, after that He THROUGH the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom He had chosen ..." (Acts 1:2)

The Holy Ghost in the scriptures is New Testament -- and emerges when the dayspring from on high visits His people. We know the Holy Ghost signified the difference between the old and the new from Hebrews 9:8 which states: "the Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:" (Hebrews 9:8)

This is why it is so important that we understand Luke 1:35 when the Holy Ghost overshadowed Mary so that she could bring forth a son. And the angel answered and said unto Mary, "The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God." (Luke 1:35)

Because the Holy Ghost -- the power of the Highest decided "this day have I begotten Thee" that the holy thing which shall be born of Mary was going to be called the Son of God. This same Son that Peter (standing with the eleven on the day of Pentecost) declared to be BOTH Lord and Christ. (Acts 2:36)

Not a separate being/person from God but the same Spirit of the Lord God that moved upon the face of the waters in the beginning. The same Lord that is God and God that is Lord, as David the psalmist points out. This same God who willingly became our Saviour so that we might have abundant life in Him.

"But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared ..." (Titus 3:4-7)

To wit, God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself. (II Corinthians 5:19) God was manifest in the flesh. (I Timothy 3:16) All the fullness of the Godhead dwelling bodily in Him. (Colossians 2:9)

"Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which He hath purchased with His own blood." (Acts 20:28)

This is why we sanctify the Lord God in our hearts, ready always to give an answer to every man that asks you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear, having a good conscience that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ. For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing. (I Peter 3:16-22)

"For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: by which also He went and preached unto the spirits in prison; which sometime were disobedient, when once the long suffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto Him." (Colossians 3:18-22)

Thus, don't be misled by the antics of a modern day religious culture that does everything to speak about God without recognizing the Name that He gave to us specifically for this dispensation of grace -- that is, JESUS, for He shall save His people from their sins ... Emmanuel, being interpreted, God with us!" (Matthew 1:21-23)

This is why we who believe in Jesus by faith are called to come out from among them. Similarly, we are to mortify our members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: for which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: in the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.

But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of Him that created him:
where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

When we realize how much it cost for God to bring us salvation, and the precious blood that He shed so that you and I could be clothed in His righteousness and mercy, and filled with His peace and joy, we willingly desire also to put on as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; forbearing one another, and forgiving one another." Indeed, "if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful."

As well, "let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the Name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him ... And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ." (Colossians 3:1-25)

Note also that he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons." (Colossians 3:26) For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, but we do not have to stay there. Rather, repent and be baptized every one of you in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:38; Acts 10:44-48)

This is our calling when we focus our desires on the heavenly. Stand in the offering plate.

The Lord Is Not Slack Concerning His Promise But Is Long-suffering To Us-ward, Not Willing That Any Should Perish, But That All Should Come To Repentance - Part 2012

"But hath in due times manifested His Word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour;" (Titus 1:3)

"But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is long suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of Him in peace, without spot, and blameless. And account that the long suffering of our Lord is salvation; " (II Peter 3:8-15)

From the beginning of time, the Spirit of God has continually endeavoured to reveal Himself to mankind.  Unfortunately, humans were always misreading God’s intended results. Even though God was constantly and purposefully attempting to reveal Himself, utilizing descriptive titles of His name as one approach, and by sending prophets to disseminate divinely inspired revelations, both His and the prophet's words fell on deaf ears.

In a last attempt to bring man salvation, the same God who created us in the beginning was moved by love and compassion toward His beloved created. Deciding by the counsel of His own mind, He Himself set out to make one final attempt to redeem man from his fallen state. How? God would become our Saviour.

Indeed, God would become as one of us, clothing Himself in sin-prone flesh (yet without sin!) so that we might find abundant life in Him. This He accomplished by issuing His own seed -- that which is conceive in you Mary is of the Holy Ghost.  In today's language, Mary was a surrogate mother.

And the angel answered and said unto Mary, "The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God." (Luke 1:35)

"And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call His Name JESUS: for He shall save His people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, "Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call His Name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, "God with us." (Matthew 1:21-23)

Moreover, as the scriptures state, an angel revealed the child's name -- JESUS -- the Son of God. While on earth, Jesus went about His Father’s business, attempting to remove the fog of tradition that had become so entrenched within society. Today, we call it religious culture wherein we rely on others for our learning and edification but I digress.

Jesus wanted to turn the hearts of ordinary people so that they would respond positively to His good news gospel message and follow Him. In relaying His message, many noted that it was an authoritative one. Jesus did not speak like the scribes and the Pharisees. In fact, He talked the talk and walked the walk. Well, that conduct could not be tolerated by a seated religion, even in Jesus' days on earth. So, as a consequence, the back room boys began to scheme, developing a plan that would remove Jesus from the world. We know the end result. But there are equally important details to note as well that set the stage.

First and foremost, Jesus is the child of the same holy Spirit that moved upon the face of the waters in Genesis. The child had been clothed in Mary‘s womb in the fashion of men. That is, Jesus was clothed with that which Mary‘s womb was only capable of supplying. That is, similar to all those born of women, sinful flesh. It could not be any other way for she was also the offspring of Adam‘s fallen race.

Luke wrote that in the man dwelt this same holy Spirit, for Jesus was conceived of the Holy Ghost. In effect we see the priesthood of God being revealed in earthly fashion. God who is a Spirit was always love, mercy and compassion, right from the beginning. Now, centuries later, we are going to the school of God, to be taught the ABC's of God. We are learning that God Himself became as a son in earthly visible language.

Thus, now, in this dispensation of grace -- in the New Testament, we are being introduced to the spiritual priesthood of God. What we are having unveiled to us then is love. The love that God has for His people and more. Unlike the priests of today, there is no other priest like the priestly nature of the unseen God now being manifest in the man Jesus the Christ. God in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself. (II Corinthians 5:19; I Timothy 3:16; John 1:10-11; Isaiah 9:6)

Initially, Philip who actually walked with Jesus dd not understand who Jesus was. If you recall in the scriptures, Philip desired to see God the Father and said that if he did, that would satisfy Him. Well here comes the eye opener.  Jesus responds to Philip saying, "Have I been so long time with you and you have not known Me? If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father."

God’s priestly nature (MELCHISEDEC) was in the man Christ Jesus, child of the Holy Ghost, revealing His Father’s priestly nature reaching out with His arms wide open. Who would ever desire any other form of priest? Particularly when there is no other love like the love of Jesus. The Spirit of the One God who was in the man Jesus was and is and will be the prophet, priest and King. This God who has revealed Himself in the man Jesus is now revealing Himself to you too if you are looking for a priest -- one who ensured that the price for our sins was paid once and for all.

No more weekly treks to a church hoping for redemption because our Lord God and Saviour Jesus the Christ has sanctified us by His truth. Therefore,, we need to look no further. For God has said, "Look to Me all you people who are lost and you shall be saved. Why? Because as Jesus points out, beside Him there is no Saviour.

Your only high priest - He lives forever - He has an unchangeable priesthood. So come and accept this same Jesus whom was crucified as both your Lord and Saviour. As both the Lord and Christ. (Acts 2:36) For He is continually inviting us to take hold of His truth -- Thy Word is truth. (John 17:17)

And yes, precious Lord, take our hand and lead and guide us in Your ways of knowledge and learning, for in You are all the blessings of the Kingdom.
