"Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which He hath purchased with His own blood." (Acts 20:28)
The scriptures are clear on this point -- In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not." (John 1:1-4)
And because of His kindness and love toward us, God willingly became our Saviour. (Titus 3:4-7) He took it upon Himself to become the High Priest and Apostle, satisfying the requirement of a purchase -- paying for our sins and transgressions with His own holy blood.
Sadly, however, there are those who suggest that Jesus was co-existent and co-eternal, and in so doing, attempt to explain that God is not One as the first commandment declares, but instead multiple personalities. As if God is a triad, or three-headed. Others like to divide God into thirds -- one third Father, one third Son, and one third Spirit, rather than searching the scriptures for clarity and truth. Nevertheless, who does Jesus say He is?
Jesus said, "I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man comes to the Father but by Me." (John 14:6-12)

Does this mean that Jesus and the Father are separate? Of course not because as we know from this scriptural passage, Jesus continues sharing, by telling His disciples that if they have seen Him -- Jesus -- they have seen the Father and know Him. (John 14:6-12) In another place, Jesus tells His disciples that "I and My Father are One." (John 10:30)

And in this current dispensation of grace, His Name is JESUS for He shall save His people from their sins. (Matthew 1:21-23)

ed the Apostles Doctrine. If you had been Peter, what would you have told those that asked, “What shall we do?”
