Jesus Said Unto Them, "Come and See" And Taste of His Goodness and Grace And Love And Mercy Forevermore - Part 1423

"He was in the world and the world was made by Him and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own and His own received Him not ... but as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God -- tho them that believe on His Name." (John 1:10-12)

This same good news message of Jesus the Christ remains today. That is, the same God who made the world was in the world with the intention of redeeming His people. Further, the same "He that was in the world" delivered to us the very Wisdom of God in Word, spoken audibly in a tongue of understanding.

As we recognize from the scriptures, sometimes the Word was spoken in parables. Many times, at least initially, we found it difficult to understanding the meaning of parables. We would read a passage of scripture and wonder what Jesus meant. However, as was the situation with Jesus' disciples, when He saw them stumbling in comprehension, He would then expound upon the hidden truths. The hidden treasures to those who believed on Him.

Why? For it was and is our Father's good pleasure to give us the Kingdom of Heaven and all therein.

But the most important point here is that the Lord God did not (as in ages past) send messengers to deliver the message of salvation. Rather, He came Himself preaching to everyone who listened, sowing the Word of Life. As a consequence, those who take the time to digest and reflect upon His life words are immediately transformed in thought to a different level. We are lifted out of the miry clay of worldly things, and our hearts set on the heavenly. The spiritual that we were intended for from the very beginning,

Indeed, Jesus said it this way. If we hunger and thirst after righteousness, surely we shall be filled.

"Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you." (Matthew 6:33)

All these things. In other words, Jesus did not pass by on the other side of the road. That was not the purpose of His mission. His purpose was to seek and to save those which were lost - indeed, you and I - us! Often, Jesus would say, "My Sheep hear My voice, and they follow Me."

And, as a consequence, the sheep that are His will not follow the voice of a hired person or institutions whereby religious formality was (or is) rampant. Jesus' salvation message was clear. He said, "Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)

He did not send us around the SINAI mountain, going in endless circles, again and again. And He gave us His Word as the foundation of all wisdom and knowledge.

"In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him and without Him was not anything made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not." (John 1:4)

This is why JESUS said, "Come to Me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I WILL GIVE YOU REST." And the result? We heard the good news gospel message of our Lord Jesus Christ and by faith in Him we believed. And, as instructed in Acts 2, on the day of Pentecost, we repented and were water baptized in His Name -- the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and then impacted with power - an invisible tangible substance - and we tasted so to speak the power of the Word of God. We entered into a New World whilst we were and are still in this world.

The Kingdom of God now abiding within us. For surely the words and wisdom that He spoke was the language of the Kingdom of God. The Words spoken to us were not words of condemnation but rather words urging us to reach out in faith to Him. In so doing, we, by the Grace of God become reconciled to Him alone!

And thus, we become members of the body of the Christ named JESUS, who on our behalf sacrificed His Life forever as a Son so that we, from henceforth, can be called the sons and daughters of God. There is only One body and there is only One Spirit. Peace be upon the redeemed Israel of God who are adopted into the family of God and those who obediently respond positively to His call.

This is why the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us -- so that we could behold His glory, full of grace and truth.

"Search the scriptures ..." Jesus said. And then stand in the offering plate, believing His Word to be the only truth that sanctifies, cleansing us from all sin and guilt. Why? Because Jesus is the ONLY foundation for all that is righteous and just, giving life and joy beyond measure. Our cups bubbling over with His love because we in our hearts believed that Jesus is He! (John 8:21-29)

"If ye continue in My Word," said Jesus, "then are ye My disciples indeed, and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." (John 8:31)
