He Will Be Our God and We His Purposed People - Part 691

"For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that we are without excuse ... because that, when we knew God, we glorified Him not as God, neither were we thankful; but rather we became vain in our imaginations, and subsequently, our foolish heart darkened." (Romans 1:20-21)

Therefore, as the scriptures state -- choose this day whom you will serve -- because no man can serve two masters. At the same time, remember that it is "you" that our Lord God and Saviour hath quickened. This same "you" who -- at one time -- were dead in trespasses and sins.

"Wherein in times past, ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience. Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others." (Ephesians 2:1-3)

But now, because of the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross, we can rest in the good news that "by grace were we saved." (Ephesians 2:8-9) Our Lord God and Saviour, who is rich in mercy -- not of ourselves but the gift of God who hath ordained that we should walk with Him.

It is His great love wherewith He loved us, even when we were dead in sins, who hath quickened us together with Christ and hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: so that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

"You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and ordained you -- that you should go and bring forth fruit and that your fruit should remain -- that whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in My name, He may give it to you." (John 15:16)

So with every new day, honour and trust in our Lord God and Saviour. Praise Jesus with thanksgiving and praise for His everlasting grace and goodness that He provides to those who love Him with all their hearts, their souls and their minds. So that we will hear that great voice out of heaven that will say, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them and be their God." (Revelation 21:3) Stand in the offering plate.
