The power and dominion of Almighty God Himself -- His authority -- revealed in the promised Messiah -- "the brightness of [His] glory, and the express image of [His] person, and upholding all things by the Word of His power, when He purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high, being made so much better than the angels, as He hath by inheritance obtained a MORE EXCELLENT NAME than they." (Hebrews 13-4)
In Him, the mystery of the Godhead that was kept secret from before the creation of the world -- along with His plan of redemption for you and I. The same Almighty God that is so jealous of His glory and honour that He repeatedly said that He would not share His glory with another.
"I am the LORD: that is My name: and My glory will I not give to another, neither My praise to graven images." (Isaiah 42:8) "Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but Me: for (there is) no Saviour beside Me." (Hosea 13:4)
"I am the LORD, and [there is] none else, [there is] no God beside Me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known Me ... That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside Me. I am the Lord, and there is none else." (Isaiah 45:5)
This same Almighty God came to fulfill the Law (that serves as a schoolmaster to bring us to salvation) so that we might joyfully accept the exceeding greatness of His power to us-ward who believe. (Ephesians 1:19) Yes, Almighty God Himself set the old covenant aside so that He could hand deliver His precious plan of salvation through the shedding of His Holy blood on the cross.
And in so doing, the name of Jesus exalted above every other name. This is why we, as believers in Jesus by faith, need to press into Him -- our Lord God and Saviour -- and ask for His divine illumination so that the teachings we adhere to align with His Word. Seeking the hope set before us so that we could enter into the holiest, having obtained everlasting redemption. His sacrifice on the cross wherein He tasted death for us.
"For as much then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death (that is the devil) and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage, for verily He took not on [Him the nature of ] angels, but He took on [Him] the seed of Abraham -- wherefore in ALL things, it behoved Him to be made like unto [His] brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things [pertaining] to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people -- for in that He Himself hath suffered being tempted, He is able to succour them that are tempted." (Hebrews 1:14-18)
"Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus -- let us hold fast [our] profession ... for we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as [we are, yet] without sin." (Hebrews 4:14-15)
"For the Law having a shadow of good things to come [and] not the very image of the things can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect -- for then would they not have ceased to be offered? Because that the worshipers once purged should have no more conscience of sins. But in those [sacrifices there is] a remembrance again [made] of sins every year -- for [it is] not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins -- wherefore, when He cometh into the world, He saith, "Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast Thou prepared Me, In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin, Thou hast had no pleasure. Then said I, "Lo I come; in the volume of the book [it is] written of Me." (Psalm 40:7; Hebrews 10:1-7)
Above when He said, "Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and [offering] for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure [therein], which are offered by the Law." (Hebrews 10:8) Then said He, "Lo, I come to do Thy will, O God, He taketh away the first, that He may establish the second, by the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once." (Hebrews 10:9-10)
"And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices which can never take away sins, but this man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God, from henceforth expecting till His enemies be made His footstool. For by one offering, He hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified." (Hebrews 10:11-14)
"[Whereof] the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us, for after that He said, "This [is] the covenant that I will make with them after those days," saith the Lord, "I will put My laws into their hearts and in their minds will I write them, and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more." (Hebrews 10:15-17)
"Now where remission of these [is, there is] no more offering for sin. Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, which He hath consecrated for us. through the veil, that is to say, His flesh, and [having] an high priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water, AND let us hold fast the profession of [our] faith without wavering -- for He is faithful that promised." (Hebrews 10:18-23)
