The Father of Mercies and the God of All Comfort Willingly Became Our Saviour - Part 1596

Jesus said, "Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, [that] shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come." (John 16:13)

Jesus said, "But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." (John 14:26)

Continuing on the theme from the last post, the Holy Ghost is our Comforter. Jesus spoke of the Comforter who would come (after Jesus ascended once and for all) and lead and guide us into all truth. But unlike the false tale spun by the modern day religious culture -- that presents God as three persons/a triune God, the Holy Ghost is NOT a person.

How do we know this? Because Jesus Himself called the Holy Ghost -- the "Spirit" of truth. He never once refers to the Holy Ghost as a person. Why? Because the Spirit of God is not the same as the person(s) He created in the beginning. Indeed, He is the Maker of heaven and earth, and everything within. (Psalm 146:6) We are but the clay -- moulded and created in His image. (Genesis 1:27)

“But now, O LORD, Thou [art] our Father; we [are] the clay, and Thou our potter; and we all [are] the work of Thy hand.” (Isaiah 64:8)
Further to my original point, Jesus said the Father will send the Holy Ghost "in My Name" -- the Name of Jesus. (John 14:26)

Jesus said, "But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceeds from the Father, He shall testify of Me." (John 15:26)

Jesus told His disciples, "Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away and come [again] unto you. If ye loved Me, ye would rejoice because I said, "I go unto the Father for My Father is greater than I. And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe." (John 14:28-29)

We know from the scriptures that the Holy Ghost is the same Spirit of God that moved upon the face of the waters in the beginning. (Genesis 1:3) The same Spirit which came upon Mary and overshadowed her -- "therefore, also this holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God." (Luke 1:35) The same Holy Ghost who the angel said to Zacharias about John the baptist/baptizer--"he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb." (Luke 1:15) The same Holy Ghost that when Elizabeth heard the salutation of Mary, "the babe leaped in her womb, and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost." (Luke 1:41)

Jesus told His disciples that He had to go away if the Holy Ghost were to come, but Jesus also said that He would never leave us or forsake us. You ask -- how can this be? The scriptures make the mystery of Godliness clear. (I Timothy 3:16)

"Until the day in which He [Jesus] was taken up, after that He [Jesus] THROUGH the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom He had chosen ..." (Acts 1:2)

Not a different or separate Holy Ghost but the One and Same Lord God who was in the beginning. The One God who we worship with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 12:29-31) The same God who loved us so much that He became the perfect sacrifice on the cross. (Hebrews 1:1-12) He became our Saviour. (Titus 3:4-7) God in Christ. The Word made flesh. (John 1:1-18)

"He was in the world and the world was made by Him and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own and His own received Him not." (John 1:1-14)

He Himself took on sin prone flesh (and yet was without sin) so that He could freely offer to us His plan of salvation. He Himself who knew no sin became accursed for us (for as the law from afore states, he who dies on a cross will be cursed).

"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost ..." (Titus 3:5)

When Jesus said to His disciples that "now I go My way to Him that sent Me" it was because "it is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you: but if I depart I will send Him unto you, and when He is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness and of judgment ... Howbeit, when He the Spirit of truth is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, [that] shall He speak and He will shew you things to come. He shall glorify Me; for He shall receive of Mine and shall shew [it] unto you. A little while and ye shall not see Me; and again, a little while, and ye shall see Me because I go to the Father." (John 16:5-16)

The disciples did not understand what Jesus was saying, and asked among themselves about Jesus' words. And their confusion could be understood because Jesus had not yet gone to the cross. But us? There is no excuse because we have His Word which is God's love story to you and I -- woven like a thread from the very beginning.

"The mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to His saints: to whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory, whom we preach ..." (Colossians 1:26-27)

And within His Word is the truth.

"Thy Word is truth." (John 17:17)

The Word that was in the beginning with God and WAS God! (John 1:1) The Word that was made flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14) After Jesus ascended, we begin to see the power of the Holy Ghost experienced on the day of Pentecost.

Jesus said, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." (Acts 1:8)

And by extension, to us also who believe and are baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Then Peter said unto them, "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." (Acts 2:38)

We too can be filled with the Holy Ghost -- the Spirit of the Lord Jesus living within -- as the disciples first, and then the 120 in the upper room, and then the 3,000 souls who gladly received the Word.

Yes, indeed, Jesus came forth from the Father "and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father." (John 16:28)

"And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to Thee Holy Father, keep through Thine own Name those whom Thou hast given Me, that they may be ONE as we are. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Thy Name, those that Thou gave Me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition that the scripture might be fulfilled. And now come I to Thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have My joy fulfilled in themselves. I have given them Thy Word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world ..." (John 17:11-14)

God manifest in the flesh. (I Timothy 3:16) God was justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. This is the mystery of godliness that was held in the bosom of the Father from the beginning of the world.

After His kindness and love, God became our Saviour so that we might have life more abundantly. Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost -- in Him dwelt all the fullness of the Godhead. (Luke 4:1; Colossians 2:9)

"For it pleased the Father that in Him should all fullness dwell, and, having made peace through the blood of His cross, by Him to reconcile all things unto Himself; by Him ..." (Colossians 1:14-23)

If you have previously subscribed to the false erroneous teaching that God is a person, or three persons as the tri-une God teaching presents, it is time to ask the Lord Jesus to reveal Himself to you. It is time to understand that -- "All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." (II Timothy 3:16)

Therefore, "study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that need not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth." (II Timothy 2:15)

And, come out from among them so that you too do not suffer their plagues. Peter (standing with the eleven) told those who listened on the day of Pentecost that this same Jesus whom ye have crucified is both Lord and Christ. (Acts 2:36) Jesus is the Lord who came forth as a mighty man. (Isaiah 42:13; Isaiah 9:6) After His kindness and love, God became our Saviour. (Titus 3:4-7)

His Name is Jesus. One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism. One God and Father of all.

Once again, He is King of kings and Lord of lords. Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the ending. The Holy Ghost renewed. And it is His Spirit -- the Holy Ghost that lives within, leading and guiding us into all truth.

For If The Inheritance Be Of The Law, Then It Is No More of Promise, But God Gave It To Abraham By Promise - Part 1595

"And for this cause, He is the Mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator lives. Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.

For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, saying, "This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you." (Hebrews 9:15-20)

When we open the Bible, we see an old and a new. Some believe that the only difference between the two is a blank page - to their own detriment -- for if these would read the scriptures with ready hearts, the Lord Jesus would open their understanding, as He did with the apostles just before He was taken up. (Acts 1:2-3)

Thus, for starters, there is an old covenant -- a covenant that existed between two parties. The old, as the name applies is indeed old. That which is old decays and for the most part is ready to vanish away. In short, what is recommended in the scriptures is that the old covenant be put on the shelf. Apostle Paul wrote:

"For if that which is done away [was] glorious, much more that which remains [is] glorious. Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech; and not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not steadfastly look to the end of that which is abolished, but their minds were blinded; for until this day remains the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. Nevertheless, when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away. Now the Lord is that Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." (II Corinthians 3:11-18)

This recommendation in spite of those today who still present the old covenant as if it were pertinent, and could bring us salvation. However, for the sake of understanding, let's expand on this point. The Law of the Old covenant was added because of transgressions. That is, until the SEED should come to whom the promise was made (the Promised SEED being the Christ!)

Moreover, the old covenant was a covenant of works. Within this covenant, man would do this and God would honour the agreement by fulfilling His part. But man utterly failed. Even though the covenant was good, man’s flesh was still weak. Eventually, as we learn from the period of silence, when God said His people would never enter His rest, God just walked away. The problem was that the people here did not recognize that God had cut them off.

The "new" covenant (as some like to suggest) is not a covenant. Rather, within this new era, God was about to become man’s only Saviour. Why? Because as the scriptures allude, there was no other in heaven that was capable of redeeming man from the bondage of sin. So God prepared Himself a body planting two SEEDS of Himself into one man Abraham and one woman Eve.

These two SEEDS were eventually brought together by the holy Spirit of God when the promised two seeds dwelt in a young maiden named Mary. Here, Mary was about to bring forth a child named JESUS.

JESUS was God Himself, clothed in flesh whilst He was in the womb of His surrogate mother. (I Timothy 3:16; Titus 3:4-7)

Without any assistance or planning by man, God was going to pay in full for Adam’s disobedience. For just as one man's sin had brought the human race into captivity, so was one man’s righteousness going to negate the penalty that was pronounced upon all of Adam’s race.

"Therefore, as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Moreover, the law entered that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound. That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 5:18-21)

In due time, Christ died for the ungodly. While we were yet sinners Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him ... by whom we have now received the atonement." (Romans 5:5-17)

As we are beginning to see herein, a covenant then is made between two parties. But in this case, there is to be only one party. God is the sole party. God who is Spirit, God Himself became a Son so that we might be saved. Man had no say in the outcome of these events for man was not a participant. God purchased man’s salvation by Himself for it was God who laid down His life as a Son.

What we have then is not a covenant. Rather, what we have is the Last Will and Testament of JESUS, the only begotten Son of God who prior to His crucifixion bequeathed all that was His to us believers. All that the Father (the unseen Spirit of the One holy God) was His to share and we become the inheritors of all things freely.

Beloved as such, we are the sons and daughters of God -- who willingly became our Saviour. We come to JESUS -- empty handed. We then give our hearts to JESUS, obediently being water baptized into God’s name which is JESUS. (Matthew 1:21-23) We are now His children. For as many as have been baptized into JESUS the Christ, (the SEED of the holy Spirit -- the Holy Ghost ) become eligible to receive of His Spirit. (Acts 2:36-47)

We understand that Jesus is both Lord and Christ, as Peter (standing with the eleven) boldly proclaimed. (Acts 2:36) The One and Only. Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the ending. Jesus -- King of kings and Lord of lords. He is the Great I AM. (Revelation 1:8, 11; John 1:1-14; I Timothy 3:16; Titus 3:4-7; Isaiah 42:13; Isaiah 9:6; Revelation 1:8, 11)

So my brothers and sisters in JESUS, we do not have a Covenant dictating to us. Rather, we have the TESTAMENT of HIS WILL.

"For in that He died unto sin once; but in that He lives, He lives unto God. Likewise, reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:10-11)

"But God be thanked, that ye WERE the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you, being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness." (Romans 6:17-18)

Yes, the truth of His good news gospel sets us free! Peace in Jesus!

Jesus Said, "Ye Will See Me No More ...." - Part 1594

And Jesus said unto them, "These [are] the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the law of Moses, and [in] the prophecies, and [in] the psalms, concerning Me." Then opened He their understanding that they might understand the scriptures, and said unto them, "Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day; and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His Name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things. And behold, I send the promise of My Father upon you; but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem until ye be endued with power from on high." (Luke 24:44-49; Acts 17:3)

Jesus sent His Word and the people were healed. In fact, Jesus' Word was power packed. For when Jesus spoke, lo the much needed resolution would come to pass. Indeed, no Word proceeding from Jesus' mouth was fruitless. Every Word had meaning. And, as we know today, every Word spoken by Jesus was (and still is) life to those who call upon His name.

Why? Because God was in Christ. The eternal Spirit of God dwelt in all fullness in the man Jesus. (Colossians 2:9) Yes, God Himself. God’s holy Spirit is the one instrumental in bringing the man Jesus into this Adamic creation. Recall what the angel said to Mary -- that which is conceived in you is of the Holy Ghost. (Luke 1:35)

Jesus -- being not only a Son as many Biblical revisions (in association with modern day religious culture) presents. For the Word declares that Jesus is the ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD. Jesus performed the miracles. If He were a "created" son as Adam was, there would be no feeding of the 5000 plus.

Why not? Because it is His Word that had power. Look around. Everything that you see was brought to pass by the Spiritual Word of God. You want to view art? Look around you and listen to the sound effects. Consider His handiwork for which you now have no excuse. This is why with all our learning we also ought to seek understanding.

We are God’s workmanship. God is still on His Throne. God is everywhere. The only place that God does not inhabit is a man’s heart and this is because He created us to have choices. Still, when we ask our Lord God and Saviour into our heart, God responds to our faith with His eternal power.

In the new testament, the Apostles were eye witnesses, recording the apostolic doctrine so that we could remain steadfast in them. This is why after we repent, and are water baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we study His Word for truth. (Acts 1:36-47) We desire spiritual gifts. (I Corinthians 12 through 14)

And we discern from the scriptures what is truth, and that which is a lie. The Jesus Apostles chosen by the Spirit of God on the opening day of the Christian faith did not say to the populace that they should keep sacraments in order to be saved. What they did say was this.

"Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus [the] Christ for the remission of sin" and that by so doing they would receive the promise of the Holy Ghost to indwell them. That very same day God added 3,000 faithful persons who -- as the scriptures state -- gladly received the Word.

And when we do this, we will never have to ask the question -- "May we know what this new doctrine, whereof thou speak is?" (Acts 17:19) Because we will already know the truth that will set us free. Stand fast in the liberty wherewith is Christ. (Galatians 5:1) Stand in the offering plate.

Likewise the Spirit Also Helps Our Infirmities: For We Know Not What We Should Pray For As We Ought - Part 1593

"And this I say, [that] the covenant that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect, for if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise ..." (Galatians 3:17-18)

God is Spirit! And indeed, the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters when He created the world. (Genesis 1:3) We also know the Holy Ghost is Spirit because until the day in which Jesus was taken up, after that He [Jesus] through the Holy Ghost gave commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen. (Acts 1:2) And Jesus -- well, He walked into rooms where the doors and windows were shut tight. (John 20:19)

Moreover, His disciples were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit when He found the eleven gathered together in Jerusalem. (Luke 24:33)

"And when the disciples saw Him [Jesus] walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, "It is a spirit" [or ghost] and they cried out for fear. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, "Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid." (Matthew 14:26-27) But Peter answered Jesus and said, "Lord, if it be Thou, bid me come unto Thee on the water."

Jesus told His disciples that when the Comforter is come, "whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceeds from the Father, He shall testify of Me ..." (John 15:26)

Jesus further clarified His identity when He said, "I AND My Father are One." (John 10:30)

We are sealed with that same holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of His glory. The Spirit of Jesus the Christ within us.

"According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love; having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace ... wherein He hath abounded toward us, in all wisdom and prudence, having made known unto us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He hath purposed in Himself." (Ephesians 1:12)

The Father of glory giving unto us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, that our understanding be enlightened. (Ephesians 1:18-19)

"And without controversy, great is the mystery of godliness; God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory." (I Timothy 3:16)

Even the Mystery Which Hath Been Hid From Ages And From Generations But Now Is Made Manifest To His Saints - Part 1592

"Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to His saints, to whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory, whom we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus." (Colossians 1:26-28)

Of late, we are increasingly hearing varying opinions expressed regarding the mystery that was held in the bosom of the Father from the beginning of the world. In many cases, these viewpoints are having the effect of leading believers away from a true understanding of the old covenant and new testament -- as dispensations with a unique, yet inherent purpose. Because of this, I am encouraging each and every one of you to search the scriptures for the truth. To study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that need not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth." (II Timothy 2:15)

And, as Simon Peter (a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ) states, "to give diligence to make our calling and election sure; for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall. for so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ." (II Peter 1:10-11)

Thus, while we together delve into this subject, let's endeavour to seek those things which are above, and put on the new [man] which is renewed in knowledge after the image of Him that created Him, letting the Word of Christ dwell richly in all wisdom, so that we can come to the knowledge of the truth. (Colossians 3:10, 16)

Note that on the new testament side, there are four scriptural references specific to dispensation: I Corinthians 9:17; Ephesians 1:10; Ephesians 3:2; Colossians 1:25) Looking at each scripture in context, let's begin with Ephesians 2, wherein both mystery and dispensation (as in the dispensation of the grace of God) are described.

"For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles, if ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: how that by revelation He made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto His holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ by the gospel: whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of His power. Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; and to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: to the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, according to the eternal purpose which He purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: in whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of Him." (Ephesians 3:1-12)

Some of the corresponding verses to Ephesians 3:1-12 can be found in Acts and Romans:

In the first, the Lord Jesus is saying unto Aanias (regarding Saul/Paul) that "he is a chosen vessel unto Me, to bear My Name before the Gentiles, and kings and the children of Israel; for I will shew him how great things he must suffer for My Name's sake." (Acts 9:15-16) Jesus confirms this same instruction again in Acts 22:21 -- "Depart: for I will send thee far hence unto the Gentiles." And again in Acts 26:15-18:

"I am Jesus whom thou persecutes. But rise: and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; delivering thee from the people and [from] the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, to open their eyes, and to turn [them] from darkness to light, and [from] the power of satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in Me." (Acts 26:15-18)

"For I would not, brethren that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, "There shall come out of Sion on the deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: for this is My covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins." As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, [they are] beloved for the Father's sake, for the gifts and calling of God [are] without repentance, for as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief; even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy, they also may obtain mercy. For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that He might have mercy upon all." (Romans 12:25-33)

"Now to Him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, but now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: to God only wise, [be] glory through Jesus Christ for ever, amen." (Romans 16:25-27)

Before anyone jumps to the conclusion -- "Hath God cast away His people?" the answer remains "God forbid ..." (Romans 11:1) But the explanation is far more reaching than just looking at the Jews and the Gentiles, which Paul alludes to in Romans 3. Indeed, "There is none righteous, no not one. There is none that understand. There is none that seeks after God. They are all gone out of the Way. They are together become unprofitable. There is none that doeth good, no not one .... there is no fear of God before their eyes." (Romans 3:10-18; Psalm 10:7; 14:1-3; 36:1; 53:1-3; 5:9; 140:3)

It is here that we begin to see the differences between the covenant of law and the new testament of grace -- "that all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore, by the deeds of the law, there shall no flesh be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin, but now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; even the righteousness of God [which is] by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

" -- whom God hath set forth [to be] a propitiation through faith in His blood to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; to declare, [I say] at this time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of him which believes in Jesus." (Romans 3:19-31)

We are now seeing a transition from the one God which shall justify the circumcision by faith to include also the uncircumcision through faith. This is not to suggest that Abraham's belief in God did not have merit for "his faith is counted unto him for righteousness." (Romans 4:1-3; 4:5; Genesis 15:6; Ephesians 2:8-9) "For we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness." (Romans 4:9)

Which begs the following questions -- Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the circumcision also? How was it then reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? The answer is found in Romans 4:10: "Not in circumcision but in uncircumcision!"

"And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which [he had yet] being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also; and the father of circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which [he had] being [yet] uncircumcised, for the promise, that he should be the heir of the world [was] not to Abraham, or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect; because the law works wrath: for where no law is, [there is] no transgression. Therefore, [it is] of faith, that [it might be] by grace: to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed: not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all.

(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations) before Him whom he believed, [even] God, who quickens the dead, and called those things which be not as though they were -- who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, "So shall thy seed be." (Romans 4:1-18)

What happens next? Abraham, who is one hundred years old performs with ninety year old Sarah to bring forth a son. "He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully persuaded that what He had promised He was able also to perform. Because of this, it was imputed to him for righteousness. (Romans 4:18-22; Genesis 15:6)

But it was not written for his sake alone -- that it was imputed to him -- but for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on Him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, who was delivered for our offences and was raised again for our justification. (Romans 4:19-25)

Therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. (Romans 5:1-2; Isaiah 32:17; Ephesians 2:14, 18; I Corinthians 15:1; Hebrews 3:6)

Howbeit When He the Spirit of Truth Is Come, He Will Guide You Into All Truth - Part 1591

Jesus said, "And blessed is [he], whosoever shall not be offended in Me." (Matthew 11:6)

Throughout the book of Romans, we understand that the offense is Jesus. This is why "the Gentiles which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith. But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness hath not attained to the law of righteousness.

Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumbling stone; as it is written, "Behold, I lay in Sion a stumbling stone, a rock of offence; and whosoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed." (Romans 9:30-33; Isaiah 8:14-15)

Nevertheless, as Jesus states, there will come a time when believers in Jesus by faith will be put out of the synagogues because of His Name -- the precious Name of Jesus. Indeed, we are witnessing an extension of this within the public square but I digress. Still, the modern day religious culture has to take responsibility for rejecting the very commandments established in the apostolic doctrine. And the fact, as Peter standing with the eleven so boldly declared on the day of Pentecost -- that this same Jesus whom ye have crucified is both Lord and Christ.(Acts 2:36-47)

In the same context, modern day religion does not believe that we are to be clothed in His righteousness through water baptism in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. These reject that the great commission (as religion has coined the phrase) includes accepting that every single person in the new testament (after the cross) was water baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus -- to the degree, that water baptism in their minds has been deemed by religion to be no longer necessary.

Further, the religious of this day reject the diversities of gifts, and the differences of administrations, and the diversities of operations -- the gifts outlined in I Corinthians 12 that are freely given to those that understand that Jesus is the Lord -- rejecting also that "all these work that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as He will." (I Corinthians 12:1-11)

These too have denied the "renewed" Holy Ghost -- after Jesus was taken up so that the Holy Ghost and Comforter could come. (Acts 1:2; Titus 3:4-7)

Why? Because the body of Christ ministry that the Lord instituted is being constantly rejected within church culture. Few religious organizations are willing to move away from a one-man ministry model to a setting whereby everyone -- "when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation" while still letting all things be done unto edifying. (I Corinthians 14:26)

Herein is the crux of the problem. When Jesus (who is both Lord and Christ) is not accepted as the Head of the Church (even though the scriptures are clear on this point) we lose the very essence of the salvation message. We compromise what the Word means, instead of conforming to His instruction, and delighting in His counsel and wisdom.

It is in this context that Jesus' words to His disciples are insightful as well as instructive to us in these last days.

Jesus said, "These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended. They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time comes, that whosoever kills you will think that he does God service. And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor Me. But these things have I told you that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you. But now I go my way to Him that sent Me: and none of you ask Me, "Whither goest Thou?"

But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart. Nevertheless, I tell you the truth. It is expedient for you that I go away; for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you: but if I depart, I will send Him unto you. And when He is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment; of sin, because they believe not on Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father and ye see Me no more; of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

Howbeit, when He the Spirit of truth is come, He will guide you into all truth; for He shall not speak of Himself, but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak; and He will show you things to come. He shall glorify Me; for He shall receive of Mine, and shall shew [it] unto you ... A little while, and ye shall not see Me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see Me, because I go to the Father." (John 16:1-16)

Thus, Jesus through the Holy Ghost, in which He gave commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen is still leading those who believe in Him by faith into all truth today. (Acts 1:2-3) When we are filled with His Spirit and willing to let Him -- the Lord of glory guide our steps, He reproves the world of sin and of righteousness and of judgment through us. The key is to be willing to let Him -- the Spirit of truth guide us in the way that He would have us go.

"And when He is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment; of sin, because they believe not on Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father and ye see Me no more; of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged ..."

This is why if any man thirst, as Jesus said, "let him come unto Me and drink; he that believes on Me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water." (John 7:37-38)

Yes, Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. (John 14:6) Jesus is the Bread of Life. Jesus is the Light of the world. He is the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the ending. (Revelation 1:8, 11) So, regardless of what the religious culture of this day tells us or compromises when it comes to scriptural teachings, we have a higher calling -- His Name is Jesus, and He is our hope -- the Good Shepherd, who gave His life for the sheep. (John 10:11)

And He That Takes Not His Cross And Follows After Me Is Not Worthy of Me - Part 1590

Jesus said, "But I have a baptism to be baptized with: and how am I straightened till it be accomplished?" (Luke 12:50)

When James and John, the sons of Zebedee came unto Jesus saying, "Master, we would that Thou should do for us whatsoever we shall desire." And Jesus said unto them, "What would ye that I should do for you?" They said unto Him, "Grant unto us that we may sit, one on Thy right hand and the other on Thy left hand, in Thy glory."

But Jesus said unto them, "Ye know not what ye ask: can ye drink of the cup that I drink of? And be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?" And they said unto Him, "We can."

And Jesus said unto them, "Ye shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of; and with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall ye be baptized. But to sit on My right hand and on My left hand is not Mine to give; but [it shall be given to them] for whom it is prepared." And when the ten heard [it], they began to be much displeased with James and John.

But Jesus called them [to Him] and saith unto them, and saith unto them, "Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them: and their great ones exercise authority upon them. But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister: and whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all. For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give His life a ransom for many." (Mark 10:35-45)

Jesus came to seek and to save that which is lost. He came to give us life more abundantly. To fill us with His joy and peace and love. For God so loved the world ... (John 3:16-17) So much so that He endured the cross -- a contradiction in terms -- so that we might experience life in His goodness and grace. But I digress.

As the time of the cross got closer, and the hour come when the Son of man should be glorified, Jesus compared the life that we have in Him with a corn of wheat. Indeed, Jesus said, "Verily, verily, I say unto you -- "Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abides alone: but if it die, it brings forth much fruit. He that loves his life shall lose it and he that hates his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. If any man serve Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there shall also My servant be; if any man serve Me, him will my Father honour." Now is my soul troubled, and what shall I say? Father, save Me from this hour, but for this cause came I unto this hour. Father, glorify Thy Name." (John 12:23-28; Matthew 16:24; John 14:3; John 17:5, 24; Mark 8:35; Matthew 3:17)

What was happening is that James and John were asking Jesus the wrong question.  Instead of being humble, and grateful that the Lord did preach with authority (so that the people did marvel), these had their eyes focused on the earthy.

To which Jesus said, "Ye ask and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume [it] upon your lusts. Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God." (James 4:3-4)

Rather than drawing nigh to God so that He can draw nigh to them [and by extension -- us], the two wanted to be situated on the right and left hand of Jesus in heaven.

"That which thou sow  is not quickened, except it die: and that which thou sow, thou sow not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may be a chance of wheat, or of some other grain; but God gives it a body as it hath pleased Him, and to every seed His own body." (I Corinthians 15:36-38)

So much more in that chapter to read and understand. However, as  apostle Paul wrote, "So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption." Why? Because the first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam [was made] a quickening Spirit. Howbeit, that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural and afterward, that which is spiritual.

The first man is of the earth, earthy; and the second man is the Lord from heaven." (I Corinthians 15:39-50)

"The Lord came forth as a mighty man ..." (Isaiah 42:13)

"For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him." (II Corinthians 5:21)

"For [there is] one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus who gave Himself to be a ransom for all, to be testified in due time." (I Timothy 2:5-6)

"Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works." (Titus 2:13-14)

Therefore, let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus, who being in the form of God thought it not robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death -- even the death of the cross." (Philippians 2:5-8)

In being thankful for our salvation, we also need to remember the Word of the Lord, how that He [He being Jesus] said: "John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost." (Acts 11:16)

But more importantly, Jesus said while on the cross, "It is finished ..." (John 19:30)

And it was finished because He desired for us a better country, that is, an heavenly, wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for He hath prepared for them a city ..." (Hebrews 11:16) Let him with ears to hear, hear. Stand in the offering plate.

And the Lord Make You to Increase and Abound In Love One Toward Another - Part 1589

"But as touching brotherly love, ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught to of God to love one another. And indeed ye do it toward all the brethren which are in all Macedonia: but we beseech you brethren, that ye increase more and more; and that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you, that ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing ...

But I would not have ye to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him, for this we say unto you by the Word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep." (I Thessalonians 4:9-15)

Ironically, the world is about putting oneself in the spotlight, and becoming well known by name -- purposefully -- in order to garner a certain measure of success in the marketplace. However, when we take our eyes off the world, and look to the Lord Jesus for our sustenance, our hearts change -- not because of who we are, but rather because we personally know the King of kings and Lord of lords. He teaches us to be of the day, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; for an helmet, the hope of salvation. (I Thessalonians 5:8)

My point is that in the heavenly, our life becomes about Jesus, and not us. Like John the baptist pointed out so often, we are to look to the One that came after him, for He -- Jesus -- the Lamb of God is He which would take away the sin of the world. (John 1:29)

To illustrate this point, consider all the people in the scriptures who are never known to us by name, but their hearts aligned with the purpose(s) of the Lord. For example, the day after Jesus was baptized, John looked upon Jesus as He walked, saying, "Behold the Lamb of God!" Herein, two disciples heard him speak and followed Jesus. (Now we know from later scriptures that one of the two which heard John speak was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother -- John 1:40)

There is the example of the lad who provided the five loaves and two fishes when Jesus fed the five thousand.

"When Jesus then lifted up [His] eyes, and saw a great company come unto Him, He saith unto Philip, "Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?" And this he said to prove Him, for He Himself knew what He would do. Philip answered Him, "Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little."

One of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith unto Him, "There is  lad here, which hath five barley loaves and two small fishes, but what are they among so many?" And as we know when Jesus took the loaves, and had given thanks, and the people fed, there were gathered together and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten." (John 6:1-15)

Another example is when Jesus told His disciples to tarry in Jerusalem wherein these would receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you, and ye shall be witnesses unto Me [Jesus] both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." (Acts 1:8) In the upper room where these abode -- Peter and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James (the son of Alphaeus) and Simon Zelotes and Judas the brother of James, these all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus and with His brethren. But these were not the only people in the room. Indeed, according to Acts 1:15, the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty.

And then there is "a certain man lame from his mother's womb" who was laid daily a the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple. When the man saw Peter and John going into the temple, he asks them for alms, expecting to receive something. Peter then said, "Silver and gold have I none, but such as I have give I thee: In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk." And he took the man by the right hand, and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking and leaping and praising God. (Acts 3:1-26)

Do you know that because of this lame man (who was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was showed) there was a series of events that followed wherein multitudes believed, "and with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and grace was upon them all." (Acts 4:32-34) It all started with one lame man --"And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it." (Acts 4:14)

And though this man is identified later in the scriptures, the point here is that this man did not receive the miracle because of who he was, but rather because his heart was willing to receive this same Jesus who is both Lord and Christ. (Acts 2:36) The man's identity inconsequential, in view of the bigger picture.

There are so many examples of men and women pointing to Jesus as the source of their sustenance, rather than themselves, and this is the point being made. When we take our eyes off of ourselves, and focus on the Lord Jesus, our life changes. Our hearts change, and we are able to abound in love toward one another.

The two greatest commandments confirmed again by Jesus in the new testament -- Hear O Israel, the Lord thy God is One Lord. Love the Lord with all thy heart, soul, mind and strength, and love one another. (Mark 12:29-31; Deuteronomy 6:4)

"Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy ghost, and I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another ... because of the grace that is given to me of God, that I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy ghost. I have therefore whereof I may glory through Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God ..." (Romans 15:13-17)

Stand in the offering plate this day, with our Lord God and Saviour Jesus the Christ, for He is our everything, to those who believe.

Every One That Is Called By My Name: For I Have Created Him For My Glory, I Have Formed Him; Yea, I Have Made Him! - Part 1588

" But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raises the dead; who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver; in whom we trust that He will yet deliver [us]; ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf.

For our rejoicing is this: the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.

For we write none other things unto you, than what ye read or acknowledge: even to the end  ... and I trust ye shall acknowledge even to the end." (II Corinthians 1:9-15)

As believers in Jesus by faith, we understand that JESUS is the Rock -- the One and Only foundation for our beliefs.

The Author and Finisher of our faith.
The first and the last.
The beginning and the ending.
Jesus -- the chief corner stone.
The Bread of life.
The Light of the world.

And, as we recognize from the day of Pentecost, wheewun Peter (standing with the eleven) established the apostolic doctrine, there is no other foundation than in the Name of Jesus. (Acts 2:38-47) Why? Because as the first 3,000 souls saved knew, Jesus is  BOTH Lord and Christ. (Acts 2:36)

What do we learn from this understanding? That God's plan of salvation was not man-made. It was God-made and personally delivered by He who knew no sin. He became the perfect sacrifice for you and I. God became flesh and dwelt among us, so that we might receive His free gift of salvation (John 1:1-18)

This is why Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man comes unto the Father but by Me." (John 14:6)

He personally delivered to us our own get out of jail card, and paid the price with His precious blood on the cross at Calvary. This is why we glory in the Lord, for He alone is our hope -- every one that is called by "My Name" -- the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

His purpose?

"To make all [men] see what [is] the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: to the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly [places] might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God ...." (Ephesians 3:9-10)

"Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works." (Titus 2:14)

"For of Him, and through Him, and to Him, [are] all things: to whom [be] glory for ever. Amen." (Romans 11:36)

Thus, we have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God, which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Ghost teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. (I Corinthians 2:12-13)

Therefore, abundant praise unto His precious Name! The Name of the Lord Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins. (Matthew 1:21-23)

For The Testimony Of Jesus Is The Spirit of Prophecy - Part 1587

God is not three distinct and separate persons as satan the great deceiver and prince of the system of error would imply. Indeed, God is one Spirit. God is a holy Spirit. It is God who is Spirit. It is God who no man had ever seen, who after counselling with Himself, decided that He was going to create a visible world. The written scriptural word presents this decision as in the “Day” (period of time). Note that creation as a whole was over days - six days or periods to be exact. God did rest the seventh day and when He did, God saw that it was good.

Visibly we now see the Almighty-ness and the wisdom of God displayed continually. We are able to constantly view at no cost God's creation. At the end of the day, this leaves man without excuse for his unbelief. Still, God knew that man would be deceived. This explains why the Written Word declares, "Woe to the inhabitants of the earth. For satan has come to earth to dethrone man from the prominent position delegated of God to man."

For example, God has set man over the works of His own hands. And thus, satan was enraged, for during a previous period, he was a prominent figure in the household of God. That is, until pride took hold of him. This resulted in a rebellion and next, following on the heels of rebellion war. The written Word declares to man that there was war in heaven leaving God’s created world -- as described -- without form and void. (e.g. the result of war and devastation).

The devil (satan) was then cast out of Heaven. So in his anger, satan now turns his attention upon man. As we know, satan easily deceives man through deception, saying to Eve, "Hath God said?" This is important because satan always contradicts God’s Word. In this case, recall God’s word to Adam. But satan first enticed Eve, and then Eve influenced Adam. Eve was deceived, whereas Adam plain and simply sinned against God. How? Well, God had directly instructed Adam concerning the matter beforehand.

Notice how satan wraps himself in words spoken by God (Truth) and then embodies a lie into the truth? It is like wrapping poison with sugar. The scripture declares that such a lie is not the truth. Man's only defense against satan is through adherence to the Word of God. That is why, Jesus, God Himself as a Son, when tempted of the devil said, "It is written."

Notice how the devil always wraps truth and error together, as if it were the Written Word of God. In so doing, satan deceives persons unacquainted with the scriptures (like Eve). But we have the revealed counsel of the Word of God. Whilst satan may try to lead us into his captivity, the written Word encourages us to put on ,the whole armour of God. This is to read the scriptures for ourselves - the written Word!

The Spirit of God (regardless of what religious demonically propelled individuals advance as truth) does not amount to three persons. The Written Word declares that there is only One Spirit and that one Spirit is a holy Spirit. The Holy Ghost is declared to be God, a descriptive title, ascribed to One who is the source of all Wisdom, Power and Majesty.

God has revealed that His One Spirit is the Father of all things. It is He who is the Same One holy Spirit who has revealed Himself as the One holy Spirit indwelling the man Jesus, who is God Himself, in visible form.

Jesus said, "I and My Father are ONE!" (John 10:30)

This is why God speaks to us in Spirit fellowship. God speaks to us as the Father of all spirits. God speaks to us as one Spirit indwelling as a Son in the man Christ Jesus. This same indwelling One Spirit made all things after the counsel of His own will. There is only ONE GOD and this one God was in the World.

God manifest in the flesh. (I Timothy 3:16)

"For the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy, and I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse, and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness, He doth judge and make war. His eyes [were] as a flame of fire, and on His head [were] many crowns; and He had a Name written, that no man knew but He Himself, and He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His Name is called The Word of God." (Revelation 19:10-13; John 1:1-18; Isaiah 9:6; Matthew 1:21-23; Acts 2:36-38; Hebrews 1:1-14; I John 5:7; Luke 24:47; Revelation 15:3-4; Isaiah 63:2-3)

"And on His vesture and on His thigh, a Name written: King of kings and Lord of lords." (Revelation 19:16)
