"And being made perfect, He became the author of salvation unto all them that obey Him -- called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec, of whom we have may things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing ..." (Hebrews 4:9)
Interestingly, Christ glorified not Himself to be made an high priest, but rather, He that said unto Him, "Thou art My Son. Today, I have begotten Thee." As He saith also in another place, "Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec." (Hebrews 5:5-6)
"For verily He took not on [Him the nature] of angels, but He took on Him the seed of Abraham." (Hebrews 2:16)
Who is being referred to here? Jesus. This same Jesus who was both Lord and Christ. (Acts 2:36) Jesus, "who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that He by the grace of God should taste death for every man. For it became Him, for whom [are] all things, and by whom [are] all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation, perfect, through sufferings. For both He that sanctifies and they who are sanctified [are all] of one; for which cause He is not ashamed to call them brethren." (Hebrews 2:9-11)
Note that the heavenly plan is in complete contrast to what men do when they desire a priest. In this latter instance, "for every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things [pertaining] to God, that He may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins; who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way, for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity.
And by reason hereof he ought, as for the people, so also for himself to offer for sins. And not man takes this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as [was] Aaron." (Hebrews 5:1-4)
But as we recognize from the old covenant, the law made nothing perfect, for those priests were made without an oath. The law then became a schoolmaster to show us our need for Jesus the Christ in our life.
"Wherefore He is able to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever lives to make intercession for them. For such an high priest became us, [who is] holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens, who need not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for his own sins, and then for the people's; for this He did once, when He offered up Himself." (Hebrews 7:25-27)
For the law makes men high priests which have infirmity, [or weakness], but the Word of the oath, which was since the law, [maketh] the Son who is consecrated for ever more. He is a minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched and not men.
"For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices, wherefore, [it is] of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer -- for if He were on earth, He should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law, who serve unto the example, and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make a tabernacle, for, See, saith He, that thou make all things according to the pattern showed to thee in the mount." (Hebrews 8:2-5)
"But now hath He obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also He is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second." (Hebrews 8:6-7)
"By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament." (Hebrews 7:22)
It is for this reason such trust have we through Christ to God-ward, "not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves, but our sufficiency is of God -- who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament, not of the letter, but of the Spirit, for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of His countenance, which glory was to be done away with ... did you catch that? "Which glory was to be done away with." (II Corinthians 3:7)
"How shall not the ministration of the Spirit be rather glorious? For if the ministration of condemnation [be] glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory, for even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excels. For if that which is done away [was] glorious, much more that which remains [is] glorious.
Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech; and not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not steadfastly look to the end of that which is abolished; but their minds were blinded; for until this day remains the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament, which vail is done away in Christ." (II Corinthians 3:8-14)
But as we know, even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. But we serve the King of kings and Lord of lords, who willingly was made flesh so that we might experience eternal life in Him. The Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the ending.
"He was in the world and the world was made by Him and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own and His own received Him not." (John 1:10-11)
His precious blood shed on the cross for you and I. And, as a consequence of asking Jesus to be Lord in and of our life, we begin to understand that "the Lord is that Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." (II Corinthians 3:17)
"Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage." (Galatians 5:1)

Thou Art A Priest For Ever After the Order of Melchisedec - Part 1285

If Ye Continue In The Faith, Grounded and Settled, and Be Not Moved Away From the Hope of the Gospel - Part 1284
"But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And of some have compassion, making a difference: and others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen." (Jude 1:20-25)
"That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God. Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen." (Ephesians 3:17-21)
"Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus. Grace [be] to you, and peace, from God our Father, and [from] the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly [places] in Christ: according as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love: having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the beloved.
In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace; wherein He hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; having made known unto us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He hath purposed in Himself: that in the dispensation of the fullness of times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; [even] in Him:
In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will: that we should be to the praise of His glory, who first trusted in Christ. In whom ye also [trusted], after that ye heard the Word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of His glory.
Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him:
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of His mighty power, which he wrought in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and set [Him] at His own right hand in the heavenly [places].
Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: and hath put all [things] under His feet, and gave Him [to be] the Head over all [things] to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him that filleth all in all." (Ephesians 1:1-23)
As Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man cometh unto the Father, but by Me." (John 14:6)
How? By "putting on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness." (Ephesians 4:22-24) Being clothed in the righteousness of His Spirit -- the Holy Ghost, "according to the eternal purpose which He purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of Him." (Ephesians 3:11-12)
Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen." (Jude 1:20-25)
Three passages of scripture, each describing the promised blessings that we receive in Christ Jesus, when we ask Jesus to become both Lord and Christ in our heart and minds. Within this decision, we repent of our sins, and are water baptized [buried] in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ so that we can receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:36-38)
What is happening here? As new Christians, desiring the milk, we begin to build up ourselves on our most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost and keeping ourselves in the love of God -- always looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, the only wise God our Saviour.
And, as a consequence of seeking the Lord Jesus in everything we do -- in both word and deed, we learn that we are now reconciled both unto God in one body by the cross, who abolished in His flesh the enmity -- the law of commandments in ordinances, for to make in Himself of twain one new man, and so makes peace. (Ephesians 2:14-17)
When we receive His peace -- the peace that passes all human understanding -- He encourages us to delve deeper in His Word. And, when we do, we discover that we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. And, as well, we learn that we are saved not of ourselves, but rather, as a consequence of His love and mercy -- because "in the ages to come, He might shew the exceeding riches of His grace in [His] kindness toward us through Christ Jesus." (Ephesians 2:7)
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. Not by works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Now that the Spirit of Christ dwells within, dwelling in our hearts by faith in the Lord Jesus and His blood sacrifice for us while on earth, we become rooted and grounded in love, knowing the love of Christ, which surpasses all knowledge, so that we too might be filled with all the fullness of God. The eyes of our understanding being enlightened.
Knowing the love of our Lord God and Saviour, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace; wherein He hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; having made known unto us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He hath purposed in Himself."
And all this begins with a simple confession of faith, asking Jesus to come into our lives. The seed that was planted in the garden of our heart has begun to sprout. To grow, we need to seek Jesus -- the bread of life, whereby we can drink of the living water that only He can give, whereby we will never thirst again.
"Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, unto Him [be] glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end." (Ephesians 3:20-21)
Most of all, be ye therefore a follower of God as a dear child, and walk in love as Christ also hath loved you and I, and hath given Himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour. (Ephesians 5:1-2)
So much to learn and yet, look how much you have learned already. Don't forget to pray continually, or to rejoice evermore. And study His Word at every opportunity. Some of us use a notebook and pen, while others make notes in the margins of their Bible.
Most of all, don't be deceived or tossed to and fro and carried about with every whim of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive. (Ephesians 4:14) Rather, stand firm in the offering plate with our Lord God and Saviour, Jesus the Christ -- He never fails!
Fulfill Ye My Joy, That Ye Be Like Minded, Having the Same Love, Being of One Accord, of One Mind- Part 1283
"If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, fulfill ye my joy, that ye be like minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men.
And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross." (Philippians 2:1-8)
Personally, I prefer the use of "one accord" to the word "unity" because the former does not further advance the agenda of those currently promoting a one world religion. Moreover, we see one accord on the day of Pentecost, which marks the beginning of the new testament church, whereby His apostles, women and brethren were not only witnesses of His resurrection, but boldly went on to proclaim the good news gospel of Jesus and the Kingdom. (Acts 1:22)
"These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication ..." (Acts 1:14)
"And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place, and suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting, and there appeared unto them cloven tongues, as of fire, and it sat upon each of them, and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." (Acts 2:1-4)
"And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily, such as should be saved." (Acts 2:46-47)
"And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, "Lord, Thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is ..." (Acts 4:24)
"How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying." (I Corinthians 14:26)
But I digress, Conversely, if we accept the premise that unity is one and the same as the new testament principle one accord, particularly, as unity is currently defined in our modern day religious culture, we can lose our footing when confronted with scriptures such as the following:
"And when there had been much disputing ..." (Acts 15:7)
"And the contention was so sharp between them ..." (Acts 15:39)
"Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him."
"And he spake boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus, and disputed against the Grecians: but they went about to slay him." (Acts 9:29)
As we know, both Jesus and His disciples "divided" the cities when they entered them, and this consequence, even though there was an abundance of signs and wonders, and miracles performed among the people. This outcome, even though God manifest in the flesh walked among them. Jesus saying, "I and My Father are One." (John 10:30)
So, searching further, the closest I could find for justifying unity comes from Ephesians 4. Still, therein, the word "till" suggests there is some form of turning point to achieving that unity -- till/until we all come in the unity of the faith.
"And He gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers, for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ -- TILL we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ: that we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; but speaking the truth in love, may grow up into Him in all things, which is the Head, even Christ: from whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplies, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, makes increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love." (Ephesians 4:11-16)
So, are these two terms 'unity' and 'one accord' contrary to each other, as some might suggest, giving preference to one over the other, depending on which stance one prefers. Not a chance. God is not the author of confusion.
"God has tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that [part] which lacked, that there should be no schism in the body; but [that] the members should have the same care one for another. And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular." (I Corinthians 12:24-27)
"For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also [is] Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether [we be] Jews, or Gentiles, whether [we be] bond or free, and have been all made to drink into one Spirit, for the body is not one member but many.
If the foot shall say, "Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear shall say, "Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? If the whole body were and eye, where [were] the hearing, where [were] the smelling?"
But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased Him, and if they were all one member, where were the body? But now are they many members, yet but one body." (I Corinthians 12:12-20)
In other words, there is a need for feeble members, and those parts that are seemingly uncomely within the body -- those that lack so that we are all edified as well as learning how to edify one another. Caring for one another in the faith, so that if/when one member suffers and/or is honoured, so should we all.
"So we are one body in Christ, and every one members of another ..." (Romans 12:5)
Joined together in a unified one accord, as clearly established on the day of Pentecost, whereby, this same Jesus whom was crucified was/is declared both Lord and Christ. (Acts 2:36)
"Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, "Men [and] brethren, what shall we do?" then Peter said unto them, "Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." (Acts 2:37-38)
The one accord was a consequence of the first 3,000 souls "gladly receiving His Word." Not in argument. Not in conformation to some long ago written religious statement of faith. Not to some man's fine sounding words that tickle one's ears but doesn't preach salvation, but instead, gladly in their hearts desiring to learn more.
"And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship and in breaking of bread and in prayers. And fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles, and all that believed were together and had all things common, and sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all [men] as every man had need. And they continuing daily with one accord in the temple and breaking bread from house to house did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved." (Acts 2:41-47)
Thus, if there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, fulfill ye my joy, that ye be like minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
Let those who have ears to hear, hear. Stand in the offering plate.
Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men.

"And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did." (Acts 8:6)
As you can see, one accord tends to be an emerging principle of the new testament. Worth noting as well, "one accord" implies -- and thereby to some extent recognizes -- that all members of the body are equal, and equally necessary, with Jesus Christ being the Head of the Church. Thus, in this context, we can understand the structure within the early church, whereby the "assembling of the saints" came together in accordance with I Corinthians 14:26.
"How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying." (I Corinthians 14:26)

Follow After Charity and Desire Spiritual, But Rather That Ye May Prophesy -- Part 1282
"Follow after charity, and desire spiritual [gifts], but rather that ye may prophesy. For he that speaks in an [unknown] tongue speaks not unto men, but unto God: for no man understands [him]; howbeit in the Spirit he speaks mysteries. But he that prophesies speaks unto men [to] edification, and exhortation, and comfort.
He that speaks in an [unknown] tongue edifies himself; but he that prophesies edifies the church. I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater [is] he that prophesies than he that speaks with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.
Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine? And even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, except they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped? For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle? So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? For ye shall speak into the air.
There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them [is] without signification. Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaks a barbarian, and he that speaks [shall be] a barbarian unto me. Even so ye, for as much as ye are zealous of spiritual [gifts], seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.
Wherefore let him that speaks in an [unknown] tongue pray that he may interpret. For if I pray in an [unknown] tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the Spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the Spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
Else when thou shalt bless with the Spirit, how shall he that occupies the room of the unlearned say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he understands not what thou sayest? For thou verily gives thanks well, but the other is not edified. I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all: Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that [by my voice] I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an [unknown] tongue.
Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men. In the law it is written, "With [men of] other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear Me," saith the Lord.
Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying [serves] not for them that believe not, but for them which believe. If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in [those that are] unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?
But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believes not, or [one] unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all: and thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on [his] face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth. How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.
If any man speak in an [unknown] tongue, [let it be] by two, or at the most [by] three, and [that] by course; and let one interpret. But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge. If [any thing] be revealed to another that sit by, let the first hold his peace. For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted. And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.
For God is not [the author] of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints." (I Corinthians 14:1-33)

And With Great Power Gave the Apostles Witness of the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus And Great Grace Was Upon Them All - Part 1281
When the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. Therein, the scriptures declare that they were all baptized with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.
"And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them." (Acts 2:1-4)
Who was in attendance? Peter and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas (the brother of James), with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brethren. And in those days Peter stood in the midst and the disciples, ad said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty),
"Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus, for he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry." (Acts 1:14-17; Psalms 69:25; Psalms 109:8; John 17:12)
As a consequence, Matthias was appointed to be numbered with the eleven through lots. (Acts 1:26) And when again these were of one accord, there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting." (Acts 2:2)
"And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together, and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and they spake the Word of God with boldness." (Acts 4:31)
"For of a truth against Thy holy child Jesus, whom Thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel were gathered together for to do whatsoever Thy hand and Thy counsel determined before to be done. And now, Lord, behold their threatenings; and grant unto Thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak Thy Word, by stretching forth Thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the "name" of Thy holy child Jesus." (Acts 4:27-30)
And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all.
The question is this. What happened to the fire? Or better still, who put the fire out? Certainly, the early believers went everywhere preaching and boldly proclaiming the good news gospel message of our Lord Jesus the Christ.
Note that salvation is obtainable to whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord JESUS! Why? Because the Lord God who created us became as one of us so that we could have eternal life in Him, experiencing His joy and peace and mercy and love. Yes, this is why Christians believe that JESUS is LORD. This same God became human because He loved us. (I Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6) Jesus -- He is both Lord and Christ. (Acts 2:36-42)
But this JESUS is not a number two Lord, or a part of a tri-une God as the modern day religious culture presents. Rather, JESUS is the One and Only Lord who reigns over all. The King of kings and Lord of lords. God manifest in the flesh. Not another but the one and same God who created the earth in the beginning. And thus, neither is there salvation in any other name other than the name of JESUS. (Acts 4:12)
Yes, the name of JESUS is ABOVE every other name in heaven and on earth.
So if you are looking for someone superior to JESUS, then you need to stop looking. For the ONLY GOD that man will ever see is JESUS. As the scriptures state, JESUS said, "I and My Father are One." (John 10:30) Like Philip, who was determined to see the Father asked JESUS, "Show us the Father and we will be satisfied." JESUS replied to Philip, saying, "Have I been so long time with you Philip and yet you have not known Me? Philip, if you have seen Me, you have seen the Father." (John 14:7-9)
So as Jesus queried -- if I am the Father manifest as a Son, why are you now saying that you are looking to see the Father to be satisfied? JESUS is God manifest in the flesh as a Son. (I Timothy 3:16) God is Spirit but because one cannot see Spirit, there had to be a physical body. The Word made flesh. (John 1:1-18)
God Himself veiled in flesh appearing in fashion as a man, even as we are. (John 1:1-18; Isaiah 9:6) The Holy Spirit of God was in the man JESUS the Christ - not as a different person, or two persons, or three persons but rather JESUS as God HIMSELF with us. (Matthew 1:21-23) God as a Son fathered all of His children in a son’s body. Therefore, He that has the Son has life.
The scriptures further states that we - being you and I - must all be born again of water and of the Spirit to enter into the Kingdom of God! This is not the old covenant, or a revival of the old covenant of law, but a new testament written in blood whereby a much greater person than Moses was here. In fact, Moses was part of God's house but at the end of the day, JESUS is the builder of His own house - a house comprised of believers.
The TRUE ISRAEL OF GOD - read ACTS chapter 2:37-42. Follow the instructions given by Peter (standing with the eleven) on the day of Pentecost. Recognize that more than anything, He wants to fill you with His Spirit so that His spiritual gifts and wisdom can flow through us. So that we can be filled to overflowing with His joy and mercy. Like David who said, "My cup runneth over!" (Psalm 23)
And never forget how much our Lord God loved us -- that He would willingly shed His blood on a cross for you and I. His name in this current covenant of grace is Jesus. The greatest name known to mankind. The name that is ABOVE every other name.
So what happened to the fire? Good question! Peace to all who are in JESUS. Stand in the offering plate.

The Husbandman That Laboureth Must Be First Partaker of the Fruits - Part 1280
"But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but, according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; which He shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour, that being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life." (Titus 3:4-7)
"He was in the world and the world was made by Him and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own and His own received Him not." (John 1:1-18)
"God manifest in the flesh." (I Timothy 3:16) Because He declared peace and good will, His kindness and love toward man appeared. Not by our own works are we saved, but because of His righteousness have we received eternal life. His gift of salvation and grace we receive when we ask Jesus to become both Lord and Christ in our life, and are water baptized [buried] in His precious name. (Acts 2:37-47; Romans 6:1-4)
The name of Jesus -- for He shall save His people from their sin. (Matthew 1:21-23)
Then as believers in Jesus, we are justified by His grace, and sanctified through His Word. The Word that was in the beginning with God, and was God. (John 1:1) The same Word that was made flesh and dwelt among us. (John 1:14) And because of His mercy, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Made conquerors because of the blood He shed on the cross.
What should be our response? We should be like those identified "who were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the Word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily" -- whether those things that were being preached were so. (Acts 17:11) We should study to show ourselves approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth. (II Timothy 2:15) So that "the God of hope [would] fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost." (Romans 15:13)
His Spirit dwelling within. The Comforter. The Spirit of truth.
But as we know also from the scriptures, we should avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the Law -- "for they are unprofitable and vain." (Titus 3:8-9) We need to be aware of the false prophets among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them. (II Peter 2:1-2) Be aware of certain philosophers that babble and seem rather to be a setter forth of strange gods. (Acts 17:18)
Indeed, Jesus warned us of those who proclaim to the know the truth and yet openly deny the kindness and love of God who willingly became our Saviour. (Titus 4:3) God manifest in the flesh. (I Timothy 3:16) They that willingly are so blatantly ignorant of the Word of God, that these would worship an unknown God -- rather than the God who made the world and all things therein. (II Peter 3:5; Acts 17:23)
The same God that made the world, seeing that "He is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; neither is worshiped with men's hands, as thought He needed any thing, seeing He giveth to all life and breath and all things, and hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation." (Acts 17:26)
But to those who seek the Lord Jesus, knowing that the fullness of the Godhead dwelt within Him, if haply they might feel after Him and find Him -- "for in Him we live, and move, and have our being." (Acts 17:28)
Therefore, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus and the things that thou hast heard among many witnesses, and the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. Endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ, being effectual in your communications. Be bold in proclaiming the good news gospel of our Lord God and Saviour Jesus the Christ.
For "no man that warreth entangles himself with the affairs of life, that he may please Him who hath chosen him to be a soldier." (II Timothy 2:1-4)
The same One who has called you "hath in due times manifested His Word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour." (Titus 1:1-3)
To Him be the glory forever and ever, Amen. Stand in the offering plate.

Who Gave Himself a Ransom For All, To Be Testified In Due Time - Part 1279
"But after the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared ... not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; which He shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; that being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life." (Titus 3:4-7)
"For the grace of God that brings salvation hath appeared to all men ..." (Titus 2:11)
"For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, who [desires to] have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth -- for there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time." (I Timothy 2:3-5)
"And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus ... " who came into the world to save sinners. (I Timothy 1:14-15)
The power of God who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began -- but is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. (II Timothy 1:8-10)
While there are those who want to bring us under the law, elevating obedience to the ten commandments as critical to salvation. These do not understand that the law was never given to the Gentiles -- those of us who are not Jews. Am I advocating sin? No, but let's at least be honest.
" For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; to declare, I say, at this time His righteousness: that He might be just, and the justifier of Him which believeth in Jesus." (Romans 3:23-26)
"For the grace of God that brings salvation hath appeared to all men ..." (Titus 2:11)
"For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, who [desires to] have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth -- for there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time." " For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
There is absolutely nothing we could do to be saved. Our salvation comes from the power and grace of God who loved us enough to take on a sin-prone flesh (like us, and yet without sin) so that He might extend to us the gift of eternal life. His peace and joy and mercy and love within our hearts, not only in this life but in the next life as well.
This is why apostle Paul is so adamant that we not get entangled again in the bondage that cannot save us. To prove his point, he rightly asks, "Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?" (Galatians 3:1-3)
This is why it is so critical that we understand not to frustrate the grace of God ... "for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain." (Galatians 2:21)
This is why it is so critical that we understand not to frustrate the grace of God ... "for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain." (Galatians 2:21)
The grace of God that makes us His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 1:20) The same Him in whom dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. (Colossians 2:9) He is both Lord and Christ. (Acts 2:36)
And because of His love for us, His beloved creation, we can be complete in Him, which is the Head of all principality and power. (Colossians 2:10)
Therefore, then, as ye have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him, rooted and built up in Him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. (Colossians 2:6-7)
Not after the traditions of men, after the rudiments of the world, through philosophy and vain deceit, but after the Christ who Himself was the mystery held in the bosom of the Father until the appointed time. Only He can save us from our sins.
"And ye shall call His name Jesus ... God with us." (Matthew 1:21-23)
God manifest in the flesh. (I Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-18)
Thus, if ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sits on the right hand of God until all His enemies are defeated. "Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth, for ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God -- when Christ, who is our life shall appear, then shall ye also appear with Him in glory." (Colossians 3:1-4)
But for now, know this.
"Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified." (Galatians 2:16)
In summary, be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, "that ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God, strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, unto all patience and long suffering with joyfulness, giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light, who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated [us] into the kingdom of His dear Son -- in whom we have redemption through His blood, [even] the forgiveness of sins -- who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature.
For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers. All things were created by Him and for Him, and He is before all things, and by Him all things consist." (Colossians 1:9-18)

Why I Know We Have Victory in Jesus! - Part 1278
" ... the church of God, which He hath purchased with His own blood ..." (Acts 20:28)
Acts 20:28 declares that we - both individually and collectively (the Church) have been purchased by the blood of Jesus the Christ (God Himself in the flesh). This amazing act of love goes a long way to assure my heart and mind that God is victorious over all evil.

These thoughts come to me when I think of Genesis 3 which outlines the fall of one man Adam through whom all of humanity fell into sin and death. (Romans 2:12)
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. At that time, it appeared satan had won a major victory. Same law that had condemned satan would now condemn all God’s children. Satan had succeeded to take humanity as hostage and since God had handed over ruler ship of the earth to man, satan could now rule the earth through fallen man -- by endeavouring to deceive men into co-operating with him to do his evil bidding.
In this context, satan knows he can hold us hostage indefinitely, until God judges the earth in the last days. In that event, there would not be neither satan or any human children left. As the scripture states, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
But thank You blessed Lord Jesus for the amazing gift of love and life eternal. In writing this post, I encourage readers to really appreciate what all went into that victory over sin and death.

In John 1:14 God Himself became flesh so that He could become the perfect Lamb of God. A perfect human who would willingly become legal payment for our transgressions, thus setting us free from all condemnation, so that we could stand fast in the liberty wherewith is Christ. (Galatians 5:1)
But as we know, satan's ability to deceive man doesn't come from love. Why? Because satan doesn’t understand the power of love. Indeed, it was completely beyond him that God Himself would stoop down and become God in the flesh of man. Or, to understand how God made/manifest in the flesh would live a perfect life under the holy laws of God while being persecuted as a man at every turn, (I Timothy 3:16)
But that was not all. Jesus endured beatings and lashings in an unjust court of men, And in that, He allowed Himself to be crucified and die, experiencing hell and the wrath of God that really belonged to us -- the real sinners. He paid the price once and for all.
Romans 5:17 states, " For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ."
As a result of what God did on the cross for you and I, all humanity is once again free to choose between life and death, blessing and cursing.
“I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: That thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey His voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto Him: for He is thy life, and the length of thy days…..” (Deuteronomy 30:19)

Choose Life And Accept Jesus' Invitation to the Wedding Feast - Part 1277
Our Christian faith was never intended to be something separate from our every day lives. Rather, faith in Jesus is the critical link that provides believers today with the necessary understanding to experience and interpret life. We see this in the book of Mark chapter 8.
Here, the crowds had been gathered around Jesus for three days with nothing to eat. Jesus knew that if He sent them home, some of the people might not make it because of their physical hunger. They might faint. But Jesus’ disciples thinking only from a physical perspective asked, “How can one feed these men with [only] bread here in the desert?” After all, altogether there are only 7 loaves and a few small fishes to be had, hardly enough pickings to feed 4,000.
The disciples’ question is often similar to our own lives when things start piling up against us with no immediate resolution in sight. Here were the disciples in the same situation, wondering with their “earthly” world view how Jesus intended to satisfy the crowd’s physical hunger. What the disciples didn’t comprehend is that Jesus understood the people’s “spiritual” hunger. That for three days straight the crowds had lingered for more of Jesus’ teachings and parables. More of Jesus’ miracles and healings. More of Jesus!
Just like Jesus already knew the heart of the Greek woman, a Syrophoenician by birth whose daughter had a demon. She begged Jesus to help. Jesus said in Mark 7:27-29, “Let the children first be fed for it is not right to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.” But the woman answered Jesus saying, “Yes Lord, yet even the dogs under the table eat the children’s crumbs.”
The mother’s request was for a physical healing but like the crowd of 4,000, this woman had a spiritual hunger – an ultimate faith that Jesus could and would heal her daughter’s sickness. She wasn’t about to leave unsatisfied. Jesus saw the desire of the mother’s heart and the daughter was healed. Like the crowd who for 3 days wanted more of Jesus. More of Jesus in spite of the physical hunger.
There was a lesson being taught here. It was what teachers today call a teaching moment – a revelation. That is, when Jesus took the 7 loaves and few small fishes and gave thanks over them, the food multiplied to the point that the crowd ate and were satisfied. Full. When the meal was finished and the broken pieces of food collected, there were seven baskets in total. More than the crowd started with. Imagine what the disciples thought then.
This is why our faith in Jesus is integral to who we are. Because Jesus sees and knows the very desires of our heart. He wants to bless us with His abundance — just like the mother who wouldn’t settle for a physical response — just like the crowds who wanted more of Jesus in spite of the physical. As Christians, this is what faith is about — when it becomes intertwined with our very being.

Therefore, faith is not intended to be separate – put on the shelf until we need it – but intertwined in every aspect of our walk with our Lord and Saviour. The disciples needed to learn this lesson and many times so do we. Take hold of Jesus today and don’t let go for He never fails! Never …
“Who hath declared this from ancient time? Who hath told it from that time? Have from ancient time? Have not I the Lord? And there is no God else beside me, a just God and a Saviour — there is none beside Me. Look unto Me and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am God and there is none else.” (Isaiah 45:21-22)

That the Communication of Thy Faith Become Effectual By the Acknowledging of Every Good Thing In Christ Jesus- Part 1276
It is no wonder the world is spiraling into chaos, and the modern day religious culture equally in a state of confusion concerning His Word. Bible scriptures are being rewritten, and the original scriptural context (wherein we would have found abundant life in Jesus) are quickly becoming all but eliminated. And, all the while, those who proclaim to be believers in Jesus by faith, feel like they are alone in their continued defense of His Word.
"That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him: the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of His mighty power -- which He wrought in Christ when He raised Him from the dead, and set [Him] at His own right hand in the heavenly [places]." (Ephesians 1:17-23)
"For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily." (Colossians 2:9)
“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost, which He shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; that being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life." (Titus 3:5)
To some, this is an indication that we are certainly living in the last days, and admittedly, the signs around us point to the end. Still, there is hope. In referring to the state of the church, Jesus says: "I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept My Word and hast not denied My name. Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie, behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee."
But Jesus does not stop there. He continues, saying, "Because thou hast kept the Word of My patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the wold, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly; hold that fast which thou hast that no man take thy crown ... him that overcomes will I make a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go no more out, and I will write upon him the name of My God, and the name of the city of My God, [which is] new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God, and [I will write upon him] My new name. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches." (Revelation 3:10-13)
In other words, the Lord knows how to deliver the Godly out of temptations. (II Peter 2:9) How do we know? Because the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and His ears are open unto their cry. The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. The righteous cry, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles ... the Lord redeems the soul of His servants, and none of them that trust in Him shall be desolate." (Psalm 34:15-22)
But I digress somewhat. My point is this. Believers need to study His Word -- as it is written -- to show themselves approved unto God, "a workman that need not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth." (II Timothy 2:15)
To that end, we are to give diligence to make our calling and election sure, not just in being partakers of the divine nature, "having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust" but also remaining steadfast in the apostles' doctrine. (II Peter 1:10; Acts 2:36-47) Giving all diligence, adding to our faith virtue, and to virtue, knowledge. (II Peter 1:5)
Not the knowledge that exists in the world -- earthly wisdom that benefits us little -- but the knowledge and wisdom that only comes from our Lord God and Saviour Jesus the Christ. Remember Hosea? Therein, the Lord states: "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge ..." (Hosea 4:6)
But, and the key word here is "but" when we are doers of the Word, and not hearers only, we are no longer in a situation whereby we deceive ourselves. (James 1:22)
And, thus, in so learning from His Word, "the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus." (Philemon 1:6) But also in order that we as well as others, can learn and understand the mystery of Christ, "which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto His holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit." (Ephesians 3:4-5)
"And to make all [men] see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ." (Ephesians 3:9)
"[Even] the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to His saints: to whom God would make known what [is] the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:" (Colossians 1:26-27)
"According to the eternal purpose which He purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Ephesians 3:11)
The mystery that was hid in the bosom of the Father from the beginning of the world is that God would take on a sin-prone flesh (in the likeness of humanity, as one of us), and yet be without sin.
As the scriptures point out -- "God manifest in the flesh." (I Timothy 3:16)
Not another god as the world suggests, or a trinity/tri-une God in three persons doctrine that has no scriptural foundation, but the One and Same God who created the world, coming into the world so that we might have salvation and eternal life in Him.
This is why Jesus could say, "I and My Father are One." (John 10:30) This is why Jesus told Philip "Have I been so long time with you Philip and yet you still ask, Shew us the Father?" (John 14:6-21)
This is why the Comforter - the Holy Ghost could not come until Jesus was taken up (Acts 1:2; John 14:26; John 15:26) The Holy Ghost could not come until Jesus (in human form) would be seen no more. (John 14:9; John 16:10, 16) This same Holy Ghost which overshadowed Mary so that she would bring forth a son. (Luke 1:35) The same Spirit of God who created the world in the beginning living within His creation in this current dispensation of grace. (Genesis 1:1)
Yes, this same God who was in the beginning, was with the Word and indeed was the Word. (John 1:1) The "same" that was in the beginning with God. Not He or another God but the "same God who was the Word." (John 1:2) "All things were made by Him and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men." (John 1:1-4)
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld His glory, the glory of the only begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)
"And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call His name JESUS, for He shall save His people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, "Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son and they shall call His name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us." (Isaiah 9:6; Matthew 1:21-23)
One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism. (Ephesians 4:5-6) "He was in the world and the world was made by Him and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own and His own received Him not." (John 1:10-11)
This is why the first 3,000 souls were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ on the day of Pentecost -- because He -- JESUS -- is the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:36-47; Romans 6:3-4) One Lord. As Peter standing with the eleven declared -- this same Jesus whom ye have crucified is both Lord and Christ. (Acts 2:36)
Jesus -- the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the ending, the King of kings and Lord of lords, the great I AM.
"In the beginning, God." (Genesis 1:1) "I am the Lord thy God and beside Me, there is no other." (Isaiah 43:11; Isaiah 45:5)
God in Christ, and now as the Comforter -- the Holy Ghost (not Holy Spirit as the modern religious community portrays) -- Christ in God, living within those of us who trust in Jesus by faith. Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone ... in whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit. (Ephesians 2:19-22)
The kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared. (Titus 3:4)
This is why we acknowledge every good thing which is in us in Christ Jesus, because He is our hope and salvation, and became so when we finally understood that the love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, so that we might have eternal life.
